MCO Hyatt and Rental Car drop off??

So we are doing a day at Universal (We want to see Harry..lol) after our cruise, I was thinking... grab a rental car go straight to Universal for a little sample day at the park.

We have a 9am flight on Friday so I was thinking the Hyatt for convenience...So would you drop off your rental care prior to check in...if you are done with it for the trip? Is this an easy process...I mean as far as dropping of the rental and getting checked it?

Is this even a good idea..or would you just stay somewhere cheaper and drop of the rental car in the morning?

If you are going to stay at the Hyatt, I'd drop the rental car off the night before. To save a little driving, first pull up to the Hyatt and drop off the rest of your party and the luggage, then drive around to the rental car drop off and return the car.

If I were staying there the night before the flight and I was done with the car, SURE I'd drop if off. There are parking costs at the hotel, so it makes sense.


BUT going to Universal the day before leaving? And willing to spend the money on the Hyatt? I'd stay at a Universal onsite hotel, deal with the $15+tax for the night of parking there, and get the benefits of staying onsite there. Well worth getting up an hour or more earlier than you would get up at the Hyatt.
