Did you choose seats near the front of the plane? Because the MD80 has two engines attached to the rear of the fuselage, it can be a noisy ride in the rear of the plane.

So very true! We were towards the back on our flight home and it was a noisy flight.

The seats I chose are in rows 11 & 12.
