The last time I visited Disney was April,2006, and they sold McDonalds fries at MK. I understand that since this time, Disney and McDonalds have ended their partnership, and the McDonalds at DTD has closed. However, is there still a Golden Arches either by AK or the All Star Resort?

If so, can you walk there from Pop Century or All Star Movies? And can anyone give me an idea of the selection and price list? Thank you in advance! I have googled this but couldn't find any current, reliable information. i figured if anyone would know, it would be someone on this forum :) Any information is appreciated, and Merry Christmas to all!

There is a McDonalds near the Allstars. I suppose you could walk. Movies will be the farthest away from McDonalds. The prices are not "at home" prices, they are more inline with "Disney", so I would not really bother.

Even though the Mickey D's is not far to walk, it's next to impossible to walk anywhere because there are no sidewalks. I think it was planned that way so you are "stuck" without a car. I loved the one DT and was so sorry to see it closed. I  their french fries for a good salty snack :yay: .

We went to this McDonald's several times last week and in October and the prices are exactly in line with what our McD's prices are at home (about 2.5 hours from WDW).

Yes its still there- it is remodeled, not the cute style it was. And YES- you can walk. Its not real close- but my autistic son walked with my husband from movies- it took them about 15-20 minutes. There IS A SIDEWALK on the left side untill you get out of the resort area- then you can just walk in the grass a little. Prices are a little higher, but still cheaper than a Disney counter service.

They charge more than the McDonalds near me-10 minutes from WDW.

The McD's by the All Star Resorts is still there. It's the only one on property now.

You can walk to it from the All Star Resorts, but those are the only places close enough.

If you want the shortest walk there, stay at All Star Sports. Music is a bit farther, followed by Movies being the farthest of the three.

There is a sidewalk, so it you don't have to walk on the road.

They have the standard menu and prices are inflated compared to most suburban area locations. If you're coming from a metro area, the prices may be the same. I live in a town of 250,000 and the prices at the Disney McD's are higher than the ones here at home.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Canadian McDonalds is more expensive than American McDonalds anyway (for example, I believe the American value meal items are $1, here in canada it starts at $1.39), so I don't think the fact that the disney mcdonalds is more expensive will affect me- esp. since the canadian dollar is pretty much at par with the american now!

And I LOVE McDonalds, its a huge joke in my office to say "Where's your McDonalds?" if I'm not eating it that day :) So I'm happy to eat there everyday on my trip. Judging by the Disney menus, it would take about $20 per meal to feed me and my bf (using counter service), when we could get McDonalds for $10. We're there for 10 days, so its nice to know a cheaper option that we LOVE is available.

Well I'm sure their shakes are good, but I'm addicted to soda (prefer Pepsi, but drink Coke if thats all that is available), so I always get that with my meal. I do love the McFlurry's though!

I love McDonalds too!

When I worked full time, we used to do Secret Santa for 1 week. You could divide the 10.00 limit up over several days (like giving someone candy one day, a homemade ornament or cookies another day and so on) or just give one 10.00 gift.
Every year whoever got my name would give me a 10.00 gift card to McDonald's because they all knew that's where I usually ate lunch. That sure made me happy!

I was sad when they changed it to a white elephant exchange because then I didn't get my McDonalds gift certificate anymore. LOL

Oh why oh why??? McDonald's isn't magical at all!!!

A better thing to do would be to the Costco and buy a large bag of those Mickey-head shaped chicken nuggets and some oil. Heat up the iron in your resort room and turn it upside down. Then dip the chicken nuggets in the oil, and fry them on the iron! It's Mickey-shaped magic!!!

We did this on our last trip. You have to be careful to keep the iron on a lower setting, or the oil gets too hot, and stinks up the room

LOL please tell me you're joking?

I am so glad you wrote this. I am horrified by the idea of frying chicken nuggets on an iron :scared1:. Good thing I barely iron at home (I have a steam dryer). Now I will be certain not to iron at Disney either! (They HAD to be kidding right?)
