Sylvester McMonkey McBean as we all know has not yet opened.

When's the last time anyone saw cars "testing" on the tracks? I went in April and was in Seuss Landing for about 3 hours...never saw one car running either track.

How long in minutes would the ride be if it opens?

Also I heard from ioacentral.com that the sign was up and came back down? Is it up or down currently?

One last thing -- what is blocking you from entering the ride queue?

Any photos of the ride's loading area, queue, anything???

From what I recall, the ride may never open due to various issues. The primary issue is that the ride has no escape route if there is a breakdown. You might see a car on the tracks every so often, but it's for show.

A rope blocks you from entering the main queue area.

The queue area is used as the Grinch's Lair during Grinchmas.

This is going to be a wild guess on my part, BUT I have a feeling that, not only did universal have a problem with the company hired to build the project, it seems almost as if the regulations of these types of rides have become more strict, as in Florida, we've seen there are no longer the skyride at WDW or at Busch Gardens. While this wouldn't be the same, there's still evacuation issues if there was a problem.

Then again, the same could be said for Pteranadon Flyers, but there's much less to cause a fire as it's basically a rollercoaster after the start, not a mechanically driven ride

I was there in August and the cars were running along the track.

What is this you are all talking about?

The skyride at Buschgardens are still running and the one at the Magic Kindgom was removed due to the mishap with the maintenance worker.

They are talking about the curvy track that runs through Suess Landings. That was suppose to be a ride and one of the goals was to peddle faster in the cart and you could bump the cart in front of you and it would do some strange things. Currently they are not running the carts due to special effects for HHN and then for the Whobalations for christmas time.

I was at IOA this past Tuesday and noticed that there were no vehicles travelling along the McBean track.

just run it with animatronic Suess Characters in it as some kind of Atmosphere. A kind of "Suess Expressway" for Suess Characters. It would look a lot better than just seeing bare track.
