MB/Ticket/FP+ Question

I feel fairly confident I am right about this but wanted to check with everyone here.

I've just booked my September trip where I am going with my mom and my aunt (3 adults). After weighing all the options with discounts and the dining options we want we decided it makes the most sense to book Free Dining at a moderate and upgrade to deluxe dining. It only shakes out to about $100 more per person compared to doing a room only discount and staying at a value with the deluxe dining. We're there for 9 days. So I booked the package.

BUT...one member of the party has an annual pass. She wants the 9 day ticket but doesn't want to USE it this trip...she wants to have her husband use it when they go in December (she will use her annual pass).

That will work, right? As long as she doesn't use her ticket to enter the park and only uses her annual pass for park entry then the ticket will still be good in December, correct? This is my primary concern...I want to make sure the ticket will still be good.

Second question (assuming I am correct about the first one)...will guest services be able to print up a hard copy of the ticket or would her husband have to use the magic band to enter the parks in December?

Third questions (and this is not a big deal)...if she doesn't use the ticket to enter the park, can she still redeem the FP+ options? We could just use her AP to book the FP+ at 30 days instead of 60 days...but if she can use the FP+ without using the ticket then that would be easier. I just want to make sure that it doesn't mess up her being able to use the ticket in December...I would rather copy FP+ reservations to her AP account or just book all the FP+ at 30 days than risk messing up her park ticket that she wants to use in December.

Hope that all makes sense...if you guys can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. It will.
4. Guest RELATIONS, yes.
5. He COULD do that, if he wanted to.
6. Yes.
7. Yes.

8. She can.
But, if she's staying ON SITE, she can book FP+ 60 days in advance
using her AP, if she wanted.

9. It won't.

10. You could.

Just as a heads up. If she's using MagicBand for entry she should make sure only the ticket she wants to use is linked to it. We had a similar situation last September my sister has an AP and we were free dining so she also got a length of stay ticket.

To keep her room key linked she had to keep the length of day ticket linked so she chose to enter the parks by scanning her physical AP pass at the gate instead of her band. (Keep the band away when doing this to avoid accidentally using it, we had that happen once).

Thanks...reading your replies made me realize how repetitive I was...lol!

She will have her AP magic band for park entry and we will make sure her resort band is a different color...easy to keep them separate that way and avoid any accidental use of the other ticket for park entry.

If her ap band and her room key band are linked to the same MDE account both bands will be linked to both tickets. If you have three bands on the same MDE (I do) they are all linked to the same info and the risk is still there. Unless she has two different MDE accounts one with her AP on it and one with you're package on it.

Correct.

ALL bands in her name will have access to all tickets in her MDE file.

We're not going to link anything to her account. The resort reservation and everything with it (dining plan, FP+, ADRs, etc) will be linked to MY my Disney experience account and her AP and AP magic band will be linked to HER account. I don't want to link the accounts and want to keep it as simple as possible. So far all of my trips have gone really smooth and I have done all the planning and organizing from my own MDE account. It keeps everything much simpler for me.

I don't know if that will work the way you think that it does.

You will not be able to make FP+ reservations for her if she does not have a ticket in HER account that is LINKED to YOUR account.

When I booked a package before and linked it to my account...I was able to book FP+ reservations for everyone on the package. Is that not the case anymore? There will be linked tickets since it is a package. Does each person on the reservation need a MDE account now?

That's why I wanted to know if she had to use the ticket for park entry in order to use the FP+ reservations. If she can't...then we will simply book the same or overlapping times for FP+ using my account and her separate account with her AP. Am I still thinking correctly or not.
