MB scanned in for FP use?

back in the day, tickets has to be scanned in at the gate in order for it to work for pulling paper FPs ...
Then MBs arrived and the FPs associated with them could be used whether or not that band had scanned in .... Is that still the case? If DH has a FP and isn't in the park, can I use it with his MB?

You do not have to enter the park to use a MB for FP
DH and I just did it using DD and DGD bands
We all have AP so I booked FP for all of us and DH and I used their hands for their rides with no problems
It's a loophole they could close at any time

Ok so this is considered a loop hole at this time, so theoretically if you were willing to buy a ticket for that day for a 'phantom' person you could have 3 more fast passes to use? So back in the day when fast passes were paper you could get another fast past as soon as you used that one and you could do the same ride multiple times. Is Disney trying to cut down on that? I ask because you can't sign up for the same ride multiple times in advance through FP+. And its almost impossible to get another fast past after the 3 initial ones are used. Is there a way to be more efficient at this system. Say I want to ride Everest 3 times in a day....

Doing just that today. No problems at all with using the extra fastpasses on the magic bands of family members who are not at Disney with us

I can't imagine that too many people would be willing to buy extra tickets just to get additional FPs. If you want to ride Everest 3 times in one day, you could ride it twice first thing when wait times are shorter (especially if single rider is an option) and then have your FP scheduled for later.

MB don't have any data on them.
No tickets, no dining, no rooms
Nothing is linked to them. They only read info on your MDE account
So whatever issue your DH had it was not from the not using the ticket on the band, it was something else on your account

Nothing is stopping you from riding as many times as you want
But you can't schedule FP for repeat rides

My DH and DD have their own MDE accounts, but we are all linked as friends and family. Not sure if that distinction is important. But I brought their bands with me on a work trip a couple weeks ago, and they worked like a charm to access same day FP at the kiosks, in spite of having no ticket media in their accounts.

Or if they have some other sort of ticket

But if we had MB's from the previous trip assigned to abc@gmail.com, then the next trip setup xyz@gmail.com, we could use the MB from the previous trip also?

I've ridden EE five times in a row midday with the single rider line ...

I think you're confused. If there is another person in your group that is not going, but has a MB and has a ticket in his account, you can reserve FPs in advance for him and then use them yourself with his MB when you get to the park.
If you have someone else in your MDE who has a MB but no ticket and is not going, you can bring his MB to the park, take it to a kiosk and get same day FPs with it.
What you CANNOT do is use another MB assigned to YOU in the same MDE and get additional FPs with it ... The system doesn't know which band you're using, it only know which person's entitlements that band is accessing.
