[/FONT]Well Today ended w/ a BANG..

Here's a summary
B-bowl of cereal; small piece of breakfast casserole
L-chick fil a sandwich, bag of chips, sweet tea, a sugar cookie
D-Went to Chili's w/ best friend. Had 3 beers and the southwestern egg rolls..Then topped that off w/ a hot fudge sundea from Mcdonald's.. I was CRAVING something SWEET due to TOM... Not very good .. I had about only 24 oz of water too today..

The good news. Work is having a "walk program".. If we walk 50 hours in 6 months then we will get an extra day off.. So starting Monday I'm walking w/ my best friend after work. Maybe the extra day off will give me incentive...

That's all for now!
 
Well I just weighed myself. 181 lbs.. I know I've been eating like crap and it's TOM so that explains the gain... I just have to do better. I'm ready a little earlier than normal so I'm going to go make lunch and snacks for today. I'm bringing my sneakers today and walking at lunch. People are coming by the office today to kick things off for the walking program so I'll get to know what my body fat is.. :rolleyes1 I know I'm overweight you don't have to "pinch" me LOL... oh well... Maybe it will open my eyes up. My Best friend had hers done yesterday it was 17% body fat...yeah I think i'll be a little above......like a LOT!!

May butterfly!!! Thanks a load for posting to my journal...I had to come and say "HI!!!" We do have about the same to lose....I'm at 185.8 and want to be at 145.8 :) So let's all do this together...I officially started today back on lowcarb...I'm a carb junkie and need to go cold turkey and then slowly add in berries and wheat breads. Plus, I like the quick weight loss with the first two weeks and then it motivates me to keep up the pace by adding in walking...here's what I'm doing...

Walking 4 miles at 5:30 am MWFS...then trying to squeeze in 1-2 hours of cardio pilates...but those aren't a definite..only if the day allows it, but the walking I MUST do...I've found as long as I do something consistent for an hour atleast 4 days a week I lose no matter what I eat. That your company gives you an extra day off is reason to really kick it up a notch!!! In fact, plan some awesome reward for yourself for getting in those 50 hours!!! Maybe an all-day spa visit, or a splurge on a hobby you like..I love scrapbooking and gardening...I reward myself with a plant every 5 pounds I lose! :) By goal I should have a pretty decent garden! :)

So tell us...what do you like to do??? How are you going to reward yourself for those 5 pound milestones??? Clippies are wonderful but having something to show for the losses is good, too! :)

I've found that if I cut out anything made with white flour or sugar in it...then I can't help but lose....but the instant I eat something with sugar or white flour in it...I crave more and more and more and here I am 7 pounds heavier in 7 weeks! pirate: But no more...we can kick those cravings and make each day a day for living well and making our hearts happy!!!

We're here for you and we'll keep your eyes on the goal!!! 40 pounds can be done by November....Let's shoot for 20 by Labor Day...make a chart for yourself...you can do it!!! :)

Well i love to dance and love music...love to travel whenever we have time and money. i havent thought about 5 lbs goals.. that's something I need to do!! I think i'm going to have to just bite the bullet and go cold turkey w/ white flour and sugar... I'm not sure what I can/cannot eat the first couple of weeks.. Any info about that would be helpful. I would love to do southbeach but I dont want to buy the book!!! I just need to know what foods I can have....

What part of Tn are you in? I'm in knoxville....

:goodvibes The walking program at work sounds great! I should plan a similar one. I walk at lunch. Keep a pair of sneakers and socks in the office. Some days I have a dress on and I just put on the sneakers and go during my lunch break. It helps make sure I get my minutes in for the monthly wish challenges.
I am also looking at getting down to 140. I think there are several of us with Labour Day goals ( I have a wedding in Tennessee then actually) so that would be good. (I would like to lose another 15 lbs by September 1). I also love to garden, but DH and his parents own a nursery centre/lanscaping business, so I get lots of freebies! :flower: I also love to scrapbook. On Sunday night I was so grumpy and I sat up and did four pages of our trip to Universal. MUCH better than turning to food!!!!!
I want to buy a charm bracelet and add a charm for each 10 lb lost, and then I could add charms for other goals as I meet them - maybe my first 1/2 marathon! It is nice to have something to celebrate the success. I am down 12 lbs since starting WISH but I don't "own it" yet because I know how easy it is for the lbs to creep back on... so when I get down to 20 I am buying the bracelet and two charms for starters!
SO should we start a Labor Day challenge ( Or Labour Day as we say in Canada?)
 
I didnt have energy to update before bed so here's a summary of yesterday:
B-half a banana
L-turkey/provolone sandwich on 100% wheat bread, carrots,some dried fruit
S-Cheese stick
D-a couple spoonfulls of peanut butter (too tired to cook, dh was at work)
about 72 oz if not more of water..

i went to bed around &7:30/8 pm!!!

this weekend is going to be bad! grad party tomorrow so a lot of junkie food!!!
 
B-Smoothie (it took me two hours to drink...busy doing other things)
L-grilled chicken ceaser salad and a parfait (I HAD to have one..I've been good and resisting all week)
D-???? going to my mom's right after work so I have no clue on what I'll be eating..

Like I said earlier tomorrow is Dh's grad party.. I'm making a LOT of stuff!! it's going to be a blast!! We're going to end up having a water fight...Just act like kids!!! I cant wait.. It's going to be good seeing some of the people that are going to be there!!

Ok. this weekend FLEW by! I made so much food and I really didnt eat a lot of it! Friday night dinner was splitting some chicken tenders and potato wedges w/ DH while shopping at walmart...
Saturday I didnt eat until dinner time b/c I was so stressed and busy getting all the food together! I ate a hamburger, a deviled egg, some potato salad and some fruit.. Then I had a piece of cake.. Not too bad except for waiting ALL day to eat!!! whenevevr I'm stressed or have a lot to do, I put myself on hte back burner... Everyone was telling me to eat something but I just wasn't hungry!!
Sunday, I had a sausage,cream cheese crescent "puff", a brawt,some potato salad, a couple of deviled eggs, and some marshmellows.....

I'm suprised that I didnt pig out.. I was proud of that!! Today I'll be walking after work w/ my friend... Work is busy today so I'll try to be back later to type more.... i'm at 180 though :( but I felt really bloated by last night.... I dont think i was used to eating all of that! today is a new day!!

My mini goals: 5 lbs a new hair do
10 lbs nails done
20 lbs a new outfit PLUS purse ( i have an addiction to purses!!)

Ok yesterday after work I walked even though I was SO tired. It helps having someone depend on you. I walked 45 min and felt good! I finally got rid of the 2 lbs I gained this weekend. I weighed in at 178 this morning!! Today will be day one of no coke-type drinks ( hopefully I'll do as good as Mykelogan)

didnt have breakfast today-woke up WAY to late.. I need to find soemthing I can grab right out the door that's healthy.. still havent figured that out!

well i'm tired and work is well...work.. i'll try to update a little more later



ok.. now i'm back after a really not so good lunch.. chicken sandwich w/ fries..but instead of gettng my diet coke w/ lime I had light lemonade so a little victory was made!!!

I'm stuffed and tired though... teh carbs will be putting me to sleep in a bit!!

Dinner is open right now.. Not sure what we'll do...

going walking tonight....go me!!!
 
ok so no walking tonight. I'm still at work (should've been off 13 min ago) and I'm so tired.. so i'm going to be bad!! At least I'm planning on being bad lol... I think i'll have a drink when we go out to eat tonight... I'll try to limit my carbs tonight though b/c I'm still really beat from lunch! I jsut want to feel "normal".. I have a lot of things going through my mind right now and I want to be "fixed".. I'll try to take the time to explain what I mean at a later date...

well i'm going to see how much longer this patient is going to be! I want to go home!!!!!
 
Hi MayButterfly, I am new to these boards (check out AmyT's journal!) and I just wanted to tell you to keep up the good work! One thing you might want to try is a pre-made yogurt smoothie for breakfast. I know Dannon makes one and I think Yoplait makes one as well. That way you could just grab one and go and not have to worry about making anything in the morning.

And wow, I wish my work would offer a day off for walking! I usually walk during my lunch hour (1/2 hour) but I don't do it May-Sept (I live in AZ and it is WAY too hot during that time! I'd probably smell pretty ripe and have to finish the work day like that - I think my co-workers might take offense) :faint:

Keep a positive attitude!!

We ended up not going out to eat but we got Steak Out delivered. I ate all of my side salad, a small baked potato (loaded :( ), a roll and steak tips.. Finished it up w/ a sweet tea! I was feeling like crap so I had one of my fave dinners lol...
today is a new day...
a rep brought b'fast but it's bagels.. dont want to start my day out w/ carbs.so again no b'fast for me...I'll have to check out those smoothies for in the morning.. I wish i could just get my butt out of bed! At least next Monday I'll get to sleep in!!!
Sometimes I wonder if i'll ever be skinny again...that brings me down.. Well i'll try to update later on.. Hopefully lunch will be good (another rep is bringing that)... Hope everyone's day is going good!
 
Hey there, I was re-reading my journal and noticed that I hadn't returned to favor and posted in yours. That walking program sounds great, you could add 1 more day to your next WDW trip!! Hope you're having a good day, if I keep putting off lunch long enough, I may skip it altogether.

You will be skinny again.. it is just one step at a time (exercise) and one bite at a time (making good food choices). We are all in this together. We all struggle with bad/busy days and finding time to exercise and making the right food choices. YOU CAN DO IT!
 
thank you calena for the kind encouragement..it just seems like i'm having a lot of bad days lately... I've had a lot of stuff going on that is kinda scarey to me.. Next month I have to get an ultrasound on my ovaries to rule out a tumor.. I know it will be ruled out but you never know I guess. Cancer, ovarian included, runs rampant in my family so that's been in the back of my head. I'm trying not to think bout it, but it's always there! I need to get to the grocery store and buy food! I think that 's why it's so hard..we have nothing in the house really..

Here's what I ate yesterday:

L-Petros, small; some chips w/ cheese queso, and a cookie. Drank sweet orange tea
D-if you can call it that, a piece of cake..

I went to bed around 7pm last night... I'm just so worn out right now!! but otnight i'm walking w/ my best friend. We havent walked since mon due to both of us being stressed about diff things...

I have to keep telling myself: things will get better, things will get better.. They HAVE to!!!!

hey don, i'm not trying to starve myself... normally i dont have breakfast and until I get to the store to get something I can just grab and go I wont be.
that day i was just not hungry and really tired. My hormones are all out of wack and that doesnt help.

Petros is chili and frito chips basically..you add tomatoes,cheese,sour cream, etc..whatever you want to top it with! Very good!

yesterday this is what i had:
B-nada
L-a crescent sandwich,some bbq chips,small piece of cake
S-mocha w/ an extra shot of expresso
D-Rice and glazed carrots w/ hibachi sauce

i was feeling SO sick from the caffine i felt like I could just die!! I guess my body wasnt used to that much caffine anymore, which i guess is a good thing.

no b again today..i'm going to drink a lot of water though, lunch will probably be ceaser salad.... Dinner I'm not sure. We're going out I think...
And i'm walking tonight....
 
Exercising actually gives you energy! I know sometimes it is hard to scrape up enough energy to get started... Something that helps me get to the gym is a tip I read somewhere a long time ago:

Do you ever regret exercising? Are you ever sorry you went to the gym?

I always feel GREAT after a workout and I never regret going, as hard as it is to drag myself there sometimes! And believe me, I can think of 1000 excuses to not go to the gym, but I know it will be worth it in the end. You can do it too! Plus it will help you get your mind off some of the stress you've been going through lately. Everyone goes through bad spurts, it's expected. Just hold your head high, hang in there and don't give up!
 
thanks for the encouragement.. i kinow i need to go no matter how I feel before. i'm trying to break the "lazy " habit and it's hard! For lunch I had my grilled chicken ceaser salad w/ a little bit of pudding/pound cake/whipped cream thing.. it was a small parfait! and I had half a 16 oz of diet caffine free coke so basically flavored water w/ sodium lol....

dinner I will make a smart decision. that's my goal for tonight!
