MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Who is that Doug character you have a picture with in AK?

You don't know who Doug is? ;) Why, he is a past superstar who had his own self entitled show on Nickelodeon about 10 years ago!

Wanted to stop by and and say "Hi". The days are ticking by and we are getting closer and closer to seeing that awesome Mouse again :cool1:.

Hi, Dana!

We are getting closer. Tonight I bought a countdown app for my phone. Love it! :woohoo:

So our fourth family trip to Disney World brought about the realization of several Disney dreams! :) We planned our trip for spring break –March 17-24. Easter fell on April 8 that year, so we were actually two weeks prior to Easter, so that helped with the crowds.

The first Disney dream realized was that we were able to stay at my Disney dream resort---the Polynesian! :woohoo: There was a great AP discount rate---By purchasing one AP, I saved almost $900 on my resort cost.

We were in Tokelau, 3rd floor:

Our first stop after checking in that Saturday afternoon was to head over to Magic Kingdom for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Another Disney dream for my girls was to eat breakfast with Cinderella in her castle. princess: We did that during this trip.

While we were there, there was a proposal that took place at our neighbor’s table—(We waited until after they left before we took a picture!)

An Epcot dream for us was to eat at Le Cellier.

Someone ate the chocolate “moose”!

Hi Sarah! Glad you have come over to read. Not sure if you remember, but I followed you on your PTRs and TRs a few years ago (and you followed some of mine!)---Then I just fell off the face of the DIS! But now I'm back!

I have enjoyed the BC/YC area when we've stayed over there, but the Poly is my first love! :cloud9: So happy and blessed that we're going to stay there again!

Yes, I do remember! I knew I recognized your username.

Wow, the girls look so little in those pictures. Love the trip flashbacks. :thumbsup2

We enjoyed everything the Polynesian had to offer us during that trip:
The volcano pool:

Wishes and the electrical water pageant from the Poly beach:

Just chillin’ out on the beach:

Tonga toast was enjoyed for the first time:

We met secret agents,

And wizards:

While at the Studios, we were going through the Back Lot Tour. As we entered the line, a lady stood counting. She was wearing the light blue shirt, and I recognized her as a dream maker (Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams was the current promotion.) :) As we filed past her, an announcement came over announcing that we had won a dream! We had all won Disney lanyards with two pins. The best pictures I have, are these of Kevin and me wearing these after we’d won! --We actually still have these! :thumbsup2

AND, what’s a trip to the Poly, without eating dinner at ‘Ohana?

All too soon, it was time for our magical time to end!

UP NEXT: FREE DINING!

I was doing some catching up on your PTR and realized we will be eating at Teppan Edo the night after your family! It will be our first time eating there and are so excited to try it out!

What a great time at the Polynesian! Charles and I stayed there in 1995, and I have very fond memories of that trip! :goodvibes

wait! I'm confused If you waited til the engaged couple left then why was that dessert not even touched?? :confused3

LOVE LOVE LOVE that volcano pool!!! Not to mention the chance to view fireworks right from there hey?? definitely a good relaxing time!

sooo, how was the Tonga toast in your opinion?? As good as everyone says it is?? I will be getting that as my 5K race day breakfast and i'm definitely looking forward to it. Good opportunity to "carb" up! DD will be getting the macadamia nut pancakes - have you tried those?

YAY! for winning a dream. Isn't it so exciting?!? We were in MK on Halloween Day and we were walking off Splash and I saw them standing there and got all excited to DH saying - WERE GETTING A DREAM!!! WERE GETTING A DREAM!!!! I knew what to watch for b/c of being on DIS and wow, i was absolutely giddy when i saw them. We ended up getting dream fast passes and it's funny b/c we had done the rope drop, Space, Buzz and off to Splash rush and then when we got these we almost didn't know what to do with ourselves b/c of our plans. :rotfl2: We made do though and ended up having an even more magical dreams b/c we were able to take our time and go wherever we wanted and not rush at all.

I really think they should do a dream giveaway type theme again. It's awesome to get a dream!!

YAY! We ate there during our last trip, and my family really enjoyed it. It's no different than any Japanese hibachi style restaurant you can go to at home, but since it's at Disney, it's just better! :thumbsup2

Maybe we'll pass by each other! :)

A Disney trip always makes fond memories, doesn't it? :goodvibes

I think the girl got what she wanted out of the dessert, and left the rest! ;)

Tonga toast was good-I'm glad I ordered it. But, it was SO sweet, it was almost like dessert, and I could only eat about half of it! But you'll need to carb up for the race, so you might have better luck than me. I've never eaten the macadamia nut pancakes. They sound good, though!

I think that's a great idea! I loved that theme! :thumbsup2

BIG NEWS! :woohoo:

I've been checking almost daily, and today, the Wishes dessert party opened up for reservations for the month of May. I called, and booked the party for our first MK night on May 30.

We've never done this, and I'm so excited! I haven't told anyone---hoping that I can keep it a secret until that very evening! :)

We've never done the Wishes dessert party, so I'll be curious to see what you think of it (I don't know a lot of people who have done it).

I love your Poly "looking back" photos...I love the Poly. :)

:banana:The dessert party looks like fun.

I can't believe that glass slipper went untouched. I have read that they are soooo good. I really want to order one next trip but don't know if we will make it to one of the few restaurants that have it.

It must be so exciting posting the Poly pictures, knowing that you are going back there soon.:yay:

Mmmmm....'Ohana dinner:love: My favorite:)

This is exciting! :cool1: I would book it for us if they also had some salty munchies or appetizer-type things. I don't know if anybody truly eats their money's worth of sweets at something like that, but I know I could only eat about 2-3 things. I can only eat a very little bit of sweet stuff at one time. If they would add in some salty things and bite-sized, non-sweet things, that would be perfect for us. Can you tell them that when you are there? ;)

I have seen pictures of the spread they put out, and it looks awesome! I would just need about three or four days to finish a plate of those luscious goodies. This will be a fun surprise for your family. :goodvibes

Yay for booking the dessert party! I love desserts and would really like to do this.

:woohoo: Glad you were able to book a Wishes dessert party! I've heard nothing but good things about the food they serve and what could be better than having a fantastic view of the fireworks. You won't have to deal with guests bumping and pushing you or making sure you can see the castle from your spot. :wizard: Hope you can keep it a secret and surprise everyone!:thumbsup2

I will definitely let you all know what I think about the dessert party. I'm hoping I'm not disappointed!

wow, good luck keeping the secret! i know I couldn't ;):lmao:
Yeay! The dessert party will be a ton of fun! Good luck keeping it a secret! I can never manage. LOL!

Well, ladies, two days, and I haven't told them yet! ;)
