MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

It's so fun looking back on past trips with you! Your family is so beautiful, and you all look SO happy to be there.

Your ADR choices look amazing, and hooray for being in single digits!

I don't know what it is that compels all of us to return to vacation in Disney as often as we can. The things that change or the things that remain the same? Or a little of both.

Definitely some of each! :goodvibes

The pictures from 2003 were great thinks for sharing. :goodvibes The smiles on everyones face says it all.

You're welcome! :)

Thanks for the kind words! :)

Single digits are the best! :thumbsup2

Ooh I remember Epcot having the sign on it. Kinda miss it now, it's a bit plain without it!

:woohoo: For double digits :woohoo:

Dale and I were at Disney July 1-3, 2005. We were down there to go to the Pepsi 400 race at Daytona. It was super hot!! We went to AK on the 2nd and it was so hot steam was coming up off the walkways.

It had been raining for days in Orlando at the time we were there. It was HORRIBLE at the race track too. It would rain then stop, then rain, then stop and I think every time it stopped raining the temp went up by 10 degrees............:headache:.

However, this trip convinced us of one great fact. We decided that the next Disney trip would be during a much cooler time of year!

We go every summer, but there is definitely something to be said for the better weather in the trips we've made between October and March. :thumbsup2 It's nice to walk around the parks without being dripping wet. ::yes::

All of your 'old school' pictures are fun to see!

Another great update and I love the pictures....sure is great watching your kids grown up at Disney isn't it:thumbsup2

Isn't it funny how dining reservations have changed over the years? I remember we would always go to Hollywood and Vine for ice cream (before it had characters and was a buffet) every trip. We would just walk right in.

I love the pictures from your second trip! It's kind of hard to think that we used to not have to get up at 6:00 am 180 days out to make ADRs! My how things have changed!

I'm pretty sure I saw steam just like that during this 2003 trip!

I know, Jackie! I miss those days! :)

Thanks, Courtney! Hard to imagine just walking up to Le Cellier, isn't it? Those days are long gone!

For our third family trip to Disney in 2005, we knew that we definitely wanted to visit during a cooler time of the year. I did a lot of reading and thinking, and decided that we would visit the week after Thanksgiving.

I managed to get a room only discount and we had our first deluxe stay at the Wilderness Lodge. :) We left Alabama after church on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (November 27) and drove to Tallahassee before stopping to spend the night. We drove the remainder of the way Monday morning, and checked in around noon.

For our first evening, we went to Epcot.

Picture052.jpg

We had dinner at Garden Grille, as part of our Candlelight Processional package.

However, we were not prepared for the rain that came that evening. :sad2:

Tuesday came and it was Kevin’s birthday. Gifts were opened,

Picture055.jpg

And then we headed to his favorite park for the day.

Picture059.jpg

We returned back to the Lodge that afternoon,

for a late birthday lunch!

After relaxing for the remainder of the afternoon, we changed into something more festive.

Picture066.jpg

We were heading over to Magic Kingdom for MVMCP that night! :thumbsup2

We enjoyed riding the rides, and meeting the characters.

Picture068.jpg

Picture067.jpg

We also enjoyed all the special things like the special parade, and Holiday Wishes.

It was a fun night, and we wound up using one of the photopass pictures as our Christmas card for that year.

The next day was Animal Kingdom day.

Picture079.jpg

Picture081.jpg

We were in the Lion section (my favorite!)-:goodvibes

Picture080.jpg

And, we saw this show before it went good-bye the next year.

Picture083.jpg

We visited the Boardwalk for dinner that night at ESPN Club.

Picture085.jpg

Then we headed over to Magic Kingdom for Evening Magic Hours.

Picture086.jpg

Thursday, we headed back over to Epcot for part of the day.

Picture089.jpg

The girls participated in the Jr. Chef program, over in The Land pavilion. I’m not sure when they did away with this, but I know it’s not around anymore.

Picture087.jpg

That evening, we went back to the Studios, and experienced the Osborne Lights.

Picture090.jpg

Friday morning, we decided to hit up our favorites for our last day. We went to the Studios-

Picture092.jpg

And I know we went back to Magic Kingdom, because I have a photopass picture we had made on Main Street, but it’s not on my photobucket account for some reason. :confused3

We returned back to the Lodge sometime after lunch, did some last minute shopping, and paused for one last picture, before heading home.

NEXT TRIP----March, 2007-MY DREAM RESORT!

What great memories ! I love looking through the past trips and being amazed at how my kids grew up so fast.
I took my oldest son on a mom/son trip to WDW that same time that year! We had a blast. :goodvibes

wow, loving all the pictures of your previous trips. It's SSOOO fun to revisit old trips isn't it?? I loved the pic of you guys with the Incredibles and DD doing the splits in front!!! When we got our pics with them they tried to pose each of us and um... I just wasn't getting it I guess. :rotfl2: She kept showing me and i kept trying the pose and she even tried to move my stiff arms but she just gave up:lmao: So i just look like a dork. haha. I'll have to be sure to post that one on my HS day plans on my ptr so everyone can get a chuckle from it.

Enjoying your ptr!!!!

Too bad. Our girls would have enjoyed this.

Nice view from your Wilderness Lodge room. :thumbsup2

I don't know how I missed so many updates, but I'm all caught up now! Your ADR's look great, I'd love to try 'Ohana for breakfast, but it would be weird eating there without getting any bread pudding! :rotfl:

Love reading about your trip memories! I wish I had pictures from the trips my sister and I took when we were kids, but we only have a few, my family was always bad with storing pictures, and they all got lost! :sad1: On the trip you went the week after Thanksgiving, was it really empty back then? I remember when that was one of the best weeks to go, because it was so empty and now it seems to be one of the more popular weeks! :rotfl:

I love your recaps of past trips. Shows how the changes that have been created/closed at the parks over the years, and it's interesting to see your kids grow and get older each trip. A nice way to capture those moments. :thumbsup2

More great pictures and memories!

I love the picture of the fireworks with the castle and the Christmas tree.

But I see that Kevin's red shirt memo got lost in the mail. And it's not like he didn't have a red shirt, I saw him unwrapping one in the previous pictures!

I have never heard of the Jr. Chef program- how fun!
