Maybe it's time to Boycott Universal

If they want to get rid of the Express Passes, and screw all the Off Site Guest
maybe we should stop subsudizing their little private amusement park. Then
they can go back to having one line for the only people at the park which would be the onsite guest.

Instead go to Busch Gardens, Sea World or spend extra time at Disney, then maybe universal would take notice.

Disney takes care of their on Site Guest but not at the expense of every other patron, Universal should offer the same benefit to their Guest without
screwing all the Off Site Guest.

Again this isn't a knock at on site guest, I fully agree something should be done for them, just not at the expense of everyone else.

Universal take note of what Disney does, That's why their #1.........

I've also seen rumors that Disney is going to do the same thing. There was life before Express Pass, they'll be life after Express Pass. I understand your frustration but the fact that I was just able to get a five day ticket to US for $55 (since we got a free ticket with it), I think they are taking pretty good care of their patrons as well.

Maybe you should put this on the Disney forums. This is the one forum where those of us who like Universal can hang out.

I'm just waiting for when Disney eliminates fastpass and see if there are boycotts.

No where does it say I prefer Disney over Universal.

Take off your Universal Colour Blinded Glasses and Read first before you post.

It say's Universal should treat their customes equal like Disney, when the parks opened it's the same rules for everyone.

And if you think it's a joke if people start staying away, you'll be crying when the cutbacks come. There are more that stay off site then stay on site, we will prevail over time.

When I was at Disneyland this summer, we purchased our package from AAA which allowed us enhanced fastpass(we could hold unlimited number of fastpasses at one time). This fastpass was only available to those who purchased it from AAA. Disney was not treating customers equally. Actually, only AAA members could get the deal.

At Universal, everyone can stay at the hotels or purchase the express pass. Nobody gets preferred treatment.

I went to Universal on new Years Eve. I rode practically everything. The longest I waited in line was 20 minutes. I had no express passes. If you know how to tour the park, express passes aren't needed.

Honestly, one of the least favorite Theme Park innovations in the last 10 years has been the introduction of Fastpass/Express systems. I hate them and wish parks would do away with them.

Yep, me too. If I was a bettin' man (or woman) I would take bets that fastpass at Disney will be gone in 2 years or less.

Uhmm... yeah. You have fun boycotting... whatever it is you're boycotting. (It can't possibly be the demise of Express, as they are still offered.)

While you're doing that, I'll be enjoying that "little amusement park" known as Universal Orlando Resort all the same.

Folk won't boycott - they enjoy it too much! I love Universal, we had a ball last February. I would be happy to buy the passes if you just got a number of passes to use where you liked. I never go on Doom and a quite a few other attractions, don't think I'm up to Duelling Dragons and maybe Hulk this year( ) and prefer to ride MIB and Mummy many times. So buying a pass would be a waste of money. However, I am willing to be persuaded that standing in queues is good - I'm coming anyway!! Think I'll be there on my mobility scooter in years to come!

Here in the UK, one of our famous theme parks, started all this fast pass buisness a few years ago.

You bought your standard ticket for $60 then you could buy add ones at varying prices, to bet the lines.

My sister spent over $300 for a family of 4 to ride 3 thrill rides. Even with the fast passes, she still had to stand in line.

Needless to say she hasn't been back since.

So beware, eventually you may end up with fast pass one, two and three, just to the beat the lines.

Those on-site hotels are far too expensive for people coming from outside the US. We also have expensive flights to pay for etc and stay for longer. Spend more money in the parks on food etc as a result of our longer holidays, so come on universal, bring back the fast pass. I thought it was great, if you knew how to use it.

heatherbelle, i read on another board that the folks coming from across the pond really come out ahead. your pound to our dollar is worth more when converting here.

one gal stated she brings empty suitcases and does all her shopping at beltz for clothes as her money goes a lot farther. she and her family get most of their summer wardrobe in orlando.

i have met many brits at the on site hotel. the longest i have stayed at one is 5 nights/ 6 days. some i met have booked for 14 days.........they must really enjoy it.

how long do you stay in orlando when you are taking your holiday?

I've never had to use the Express when visiting the Studios or IOA - like someone else mentioned, if you know how to tour the parks, it's easily done without waiting forever.

Truthfully, I've never Fast Pass at Disney either. If I'm there for a day of fun, why would I want to keep looking at my watch and figuring out what time to be back at a certian place? I know it works for a lot of people, it's just not for me anyway.
