Maybe falling gas prices may have a silver lining...

I was just thinking that perhaps with falling gas prices, there may be a silver lining in the clouds for Airline prices to drop in the near future too?~ That would be a small consolation with the CDN dollar falling fast. I am glad I transferred my $ 2000.00 about a week and a half ago when the $ crept up to .95 again for those short couple of days. I only wish I had more to transfer.... hopefully it will go up a bit again in the near future, I have until July to pay off my trip, and I really do not want to have to lose too much on the currency conversion! However, if gas prices do continue to fall, perhaps the airlines will begin to ease up on the ticket pricing which would definitely help! Here's hoping! :thumbsup2

Most airlines have already removed the fuel surcharge.. which is the only thing that's going to lower rates.. they will just make it up elsewhere...

If the airlines do lower the fare prices because of declining gas prices, it would definitely change my opinion of them, well at least most of them.

However, I suspect that the airlines would insist that they need to recoup their losses and not pass the savings onto the customers/passengers.

I truly hope that I am incorrect.
