Maybe a Stupid Question, But...

Do the resorts have heat? The closest to winter that Ive ever gone to Florida was October or late March, so Ive never had to think about that. If we have a cold spell in December will I freeze in the room or can I crank the heat?

The same unit that provides AC also provides heat. You will be ok.

Thanks! I was sort of thinking that may be the case, but I remember hearing once some houses in Florida dont have furnaces, so I got to wondering. Im a big wimp when it comes to being cold.

I have been in Dec, Jan. Feb. I don't like cold and never had a problem. It is sort of fun though watching all the Florida natives acting like there is Arctic winds blowing. We were in a light jacket when it was 50 something and the Floridians were wearing gloves, hats, scarves like it was terrible out.

I guess that will be me next year when we are living in Florida.

There's heat alright. At 60, people who live in FL start turning on the heat and making fires.

Safetymom is making me . Since I used to live in Orlando, I know what you mean by us wearing gloves, mittens, etc when it's like 40-50. That was a terrible temperature when you are used to 70.

I will probably be one of those people bundled up even though Im from New England. I would much rather be walking around sweating like we were in August, than to have to wear pants and a jacket. But I think it wont even matter since it will be in the 80s for our entire stay. Wishful thinking!!!

When I moved down here in '91, we had a cold snap. weather news said it was going down to the 40's and to bring your pets in for the night. I about fell off my chair LOL. The next day I am runing an errand and go past a work crew. They had on more clothes then I ever wore at zero back in IL.

Your blood does thin out and now I am one of those you see looking like an Eskimo when it hits 40, LOL.
