I am considering a trip May 13 - 20, however have never been in May. Can anyone give me an idea about crowds/weather? Any input would be appreciated. Last year we went in July and it was HOT and CROWDED. We will never go in the summer again.
Thanks!

Compared to July, there will be less crowds and less heat. It will still be hot, but not HOT. The humidity is not quite as bad in May. And going before school gets out will be a plus, meaning less crowds.

I have been 5 times mid May. The weather has run the gamut. Our first trip it was 96 degrees and humid every day. From that point on it has been mostly in the high 70's to high 80's. May of 1998 and 2001 were beautiful. The crowds have never been much of a factor except on the park's respective early entry days and the MK has always been crazy on the Saturdays that I went. I am going again May 3-18 and due to the political climate I expect it will not be really crowded.

we've been in May several times and it's our favorite time to go to the world. crowd levels are light compared to the summer months. the weather is awesome. it can still be quite hot, but the humidity is not too bad yet in May. You'll also generally see much less rain than you would in the summer months.

We will also be there May 4th - May 10th (quick trip). We are taking 3 days to drive there and 3 days to drive back. It doesn't give us as much time at the parks, but I am NOT a good flier and I have been getting WORSE!! Go figure???

We'll be there May 8 - May 17th. This is our 3rd time going this time of year. We find it to be great. The weather is warm, there is little rain, and the crowds are very managable. Plus there is the Flower and Garden Show. Great time of year to go.

We have been twice in May and I think it is a great time to go.

It can get quite warm on somedays (high 80's) but most of the time it stays in the low 80's and is great for touring the parks and swimming.

The crowds are heavier than the winter but much less than the summer. We usually found most things had a wait time between 10-30 minutes. At certain times the big rides would have waits of up to 1 hour but usually they probably averaged 30 minutes.

We always go in May. The weather is great and the parks are not crowded. We'll be there May 10th to the 25th. Can't come soon enough for me!!!

10th May trip in a row for us. The weather tends to be hot, a few years smokey from fires. Crowds are manageable to heavy. Not as heavy as summer or holidays, but not lite like late November early December. More school groups, some shorter hours at MK during grad night festivities. Some black out times at PI while teens hold functions there. No e-ticket nights last year during the 2 weeks we were there because of grad nights. Proms at the resorts with conference facilities. Lots of "love bugs". Need that sunscreen--it's a must!! I don't burn easily, and don't need it for our fall trip, but need it everyday during the spring (just a tip)! Lots of great flower power concerts at EPCOT in the evenings, especially for us 70s kids. JMHO, I believe that since Easter is late April this year, I feel that alot of us regular May goers will be flocking within a 3 week window, so to avoid both Easter visitors and Memorial Day visitors. We'll be there for 15 days and can't wait! (May 3-17) It's been 3 months since my last trip and I'm going nuts!

Mid May is a great time to go! Kids still in school its after spring break/recess and before Memorial day weekend, less crowds. Weather can be hot and a bit humid but not compared to the summer months. We'll be there too
