We will be going to WDW May 14-21, 2005. Can anyone tell me what the weather and the crowds might be like?

Thanks

Greg :earsboy:

My mom and I went Last year at that time and It was warm 85 -90 during the day not to humid, very little rain, and at night it was still nice and warm around 75 or so. We are going this year the first week in May and I can't wait. As far as crowds go its hard to tell as the Celebration starts on 05/05/05. I think that they will be steady but not overly packed since this is a year long celebration. I don't forsee it being anywhere as busy as July or the week between Xmas and New Years.

Hope you have a great trip and Happy Planning!
Amy

Weather is pretty good at that time. Crowds are moderate. All in all, not a bad time to go (although it appears that Disney may be stingy with discounts this spring).

This will be our first time going in May - so I can't help you with weather or crowds. Just wanted to join in the excitement!!

Greg My family and I will be going the exact same time We are staying POFQ Where are you guys staying? Traci

This will be our 11th year at WDW in May. We always go either the first or second week of May. This is what we have experienced:

Weather: daytime upper 80's to lower 90's
It can be humid, not as bad as summer. Or it can be dry. We have experienced both! Last year it was cooler than what we expect in the evening, and that could have been, because it was more windy.

Crowds: We have seen it crowded, ( pre 9/11 ) and have seen it light. Now, I base that upon how long a wait is for certain rides.

Note: Only one year did we have rain showers just about every day ( approx. 5 pm) and that was 1999.

I hope this is of some help.

Thanks - I've got 73 days left to figure everything out - and knowing the weather is a great help! Now, sandles or sneakers? Hmm...

My group will travel April 30-May 3. My biggest concerns are crowds and weather (rain). Anyone think the Magical Celebration will increase the crowds. I hope to avoid any possible crowds by leaving a two days before everything officially kicks off.
