"May" the Sun Shine on Hakuna Matata!!!!

Hi All,

I did 6 miles at a 7:30 pace this morning (45 minutes total). Now I'm off to see the new Star Trek movie.

Best,
Jennifer

Got up today and it was raining so had some coffee then decided that if I waited, I'd never go out so off we went when the coast was clear. It started to rain at the most furthest point in our walk but that's fine for me, the raindrops just kind of cooled me off. Did our 5 miles and then went to Lowe's for plants for Mark's mom. We'll plant her a little garden in her front yard tomorrow when she's gone to brunch.

It's been a hectic few weeks so I opted for a nap after lunch. Now we have to finish making Nick's cake decoration - it's his b-day on Monday. Off to mexican for dinner - his choice.

So far it's a good weekend. Sorry I haven't posted much recently but work has dragged me down and I'm just too tired at night. I do read here and there and get the email updates so I hear all about your antics!

Take care and Happy Mother's day to all. Those that are mothers, those that will be mothers and those gentlemen that take their turn being both mom and dad when needed!

Denise, That is Kewl about planting the garden.

Hi everyone! I woke up quite early this morning and saw that it was sunny... figured I'd sleep in another 1/2 hour. What a difference a half hour makes - the sky was black, there was thunder and it was hailing! Needless to say I didn't make it out for a run this morning but it's suppose to be a rest day anyway so I guess it works out.

Denise - That's a really nice story about the garden. The hail this morning destroyed a lot of my mom's flowers. They were tulips though so I don't think they can be replaced...

Scott - Sounds like a yummy breakfast!! I love mangoes :)

Margie - Sorry to hear about your nephew! I missed that part last week. Scrapbooking? Umm... :cutie: ... no

Sue - How was the Mother's Day tea? That sounds like fun :)

Lynn - How's your knee after you got the cortisone shot?

Dave - I had this thought of you pulling out venus flytrap plants out of your garden when you mentioned there were some "unusual" things growing there :upsidedow

Jennifer - One of my co-workers recommended hot yoga to me. Actually she quit last week to become a yoga instructor. I thought that was pretty cool! She's a runner too and said that yoga really helped her stretch out her hips and hamstrings.

Connie, Eva, Mary - :wave2:

Have a great weekend everyone! And Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and grandmothers on our team! :flower3:

Happy Mothers Day.

Our weather went south on us, 34 rain and fog, and there are a few patches of snow on the fences and barn roof. Good thing we got the sprinklers going LOL. This is the first house we have had with a sprinkler system and I thought it would be a pain but not that bad. Really glad we got those outdoor chores done yesterday.

Not sure what today will bring have to see what develops.

Wish we were at WDW.

Good Morning Team!

Happy Mother's Day!

Cortisone does not seem to be affecting the knee - I have not been for a walk since it should have kicked in - we ended up doing chores yesterday, and I never made it out (too bad, it was a nice day yesterday and it is raining today), but it seems to hurt as much as it did when I went in. I guess I will just have to rely on the weight training.

Have a great day everyone!

Jack, The new Star Trek movie was awesome! And I'm not a trekkie! (I am big Dr. Who fan, so I get into sci fi stuff)

Vicky, That's cool about your co-worker. I have to admit since I'm going into teaching I'm hoping to be able to coach track or cross country at some point in my career.

I did 10.6 miles in just under 1 hr 30 today (8:30 pace). My legs felt pretty dead, so I decided not to push it to twelve like I had planned. The wind was making it even tougher, but at least it was sunny and warm.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on our team! Enjoy your day!

Best,
Jennifer

Just finished 5 miles with Mark. I didn't want to do it, I was feeling lazy but he made me. So it's done and now I get to poop out.

We did have cake last night and I had some for breakfast today. Miranda made Nick a cake with the Twitter Logo on it. His IPhone is always going off, makes me jealous. Love gadgets.

Soo, I'll add up my miles.

Dave, Saw that Jeff wanted you to have your Panda with a beer bottle, Mark was doing some quick sketches, their funny. Will post when done.

Well Dave and Erica at Disney does include lots of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. I even got one dumped on me UMMM accidently by dear Erica when I got snarky.

Connie had a cool idea about a change for the panda endurance logo with a triangle. Now a Logo with a beer would be good paty shirts for Disney and other rowdy adventure race weekends.

Glad you got your 5 miler in. I have rested the last 3 days, I do that sometimes. I stay fresher when I take a break like that every couple of weeks.

Jennifer can fly.:cheer2:

No Venus Fly traps but I did disturb a mole.

We had Mexican tonight for dinner also.

Happy Panda:hippie:

Good Morning Team!

Will post miles to Connie as soon as I post this.

Dave - I am looking forward to seeing this logo.

I finally made it out yesterday for 3 miles with the dogs, slow going, misty and cold. But I have decided that I need to get in at least 3 miles a day for the knee - cannot say that the cortisone shot did anything for it - still hurts about the same as before the shot.

Scott and I are headed to CA for a few days - he has a conference, and I decided to go out also and visit my Dad for a few days. I will be depending upon hotspots to post, so I might not get on very regularly for the next few days.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning all- Golf weather today! cough cough,,,,,

Only kidding, too soon for that.

But I should get out this week for 9 holes.

Hope all you Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day :flower3:

Scott- I'm working on that project :cool2:

Lynn- Enjoy the "down time", retirement is a goal to be relished ;)

Jenn- You'd be a great running coach! Lead by example..Thanks for the review my DS is a total geek (a good thing) and I'll take him this weekend. :3dglasses

Panda- Sam Adams?? Purely for the historical value, but I'm a true fan of his work.
. :thumbsup2

Jack, I'm sure your son will like the movie. Although, my friend whose more into star trek didn't like it as much as I who haven't seen it since I was 12 did.

I had my last dance class tonight (1 hr) and did a 1 hr strength training class.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi Kids, Long day is just getting wrapped up, travel tomorrow.

Thanks Jack,

Vicky, mango is a fav o mine

Jennifer, like they say you Fly, one of the guys I work with has seen Star Trek twice, LOL... I'll wait for HBO.

Weather in San Jose should be nice so I hope to get some runs in out there.

Good Morning:

Today is a beauty here in NH. Mark has been bothered by one of his legs since he did the 1/2 in 08. We are trying to get it back into shape but he may have to break down and go seem my massage therapist. I still need my walking partner!

Tonight I have massage - my monthly one Ahhhhhhhhhh, can't wait. It's been very stressful at work so it will help ease the tension in my neck.

Glad everyone seems to be doing good. Jen - your a firecracker!

Scott and Lynn - safe travels.

jship210- it is a perfect day for golf -I think the weekend will be good too.

Well it's warpaint time so I'm off to the bedroom to find something to wear and get going.

Denise, Lisa (Princess Runner) is a personal trainer and does weight training programs for the DisneyRunning members. If you will PM her and tell her about Mark's leg problems she will be happy to put together a strengthing program for him. We are practicing now so that when ever we do get ready to start PandaEndurance training we will be ready. That could be next year if everything goes good, but the blog and free personal counseling has already started. Our own sweet Connie will be doing our nutrition counseling when we do all have the time and have all the bugs worked out so we can provide a quality product.

My project of "No Princess Races Alone" is going well I have sevreral that have hooked up with like interests that will be walking together. I'll be starting that over here on Wish also if no one else takes up the cause.

Scott, safe travels for you and your lady.

Margie, sure wish you could join us at the Canadian Race.

Is anyone else having good fun with STRESS here lately? My stress level has been up there lately and I need to get that under control because stress can really beat up your healthy living. Work the economy, daughter issues and the seemingly endless rain has talen a toll.

Everyone have an awesome day and stay out of trouble.

Busy Panda:upsidedow

Good Morning Team!

We are sitting at the airport waiting for flights, at least I got to check in here before taking off today!

Have a great day everyone!

Denise, enjoy your massage! I have another one on Friday.

Scott, Star Trek is one of the few movies that I'd go see again in theaters.

I did 6 miles early this morning at just over a 7:30 pace (right around 46 minutes).

Best,
Jennifer

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Lynn & Scott- Safe Travels :upsidedow

:hippie: Thanks! Life has it bumps, but keep focused on the Journey. Think about what will be important or make a difference in your life and those you love in 10-years from now. :goodvibes

Jennifer-my DD & DSIL both are Star Trek Fans and this latest movie was okay, but not as good. :confused3

Oh...my training partner Connie is all ready getting us focused on the Goofy Training-she is going to have a time keeping me on track. So give her lots of encouragement for putting up with me!!!! :goofy:

I did get to the gym, bike 10 miles; elliptical 10 min;full lower body weight workout-I seem to be having problems staying on track with my training. It's not that they are difficult I just don't fell like doing it! :upsidedow

Good morning everyone! Just a quick drive by...

Scott/Lynn - Safe travels! Hope you guys get a lot of sunshine and warm weather!

Denise - Please wish Nick a happy belated birthday for me! Hope it was a great day :) What happened to Mark's leg? Enjoy your massage tonight!

Jennifer - Thought it was great that my co-worker found something she really loved to do :) She did have a lot of people whispering behind her back about leaving a "good" job.

Dave - I've never seen a mole before. Are they common where you live? We have the odd rabbit that will eat flowers and raccoons that will dig up the lawns looking for grubs.

Margie - WTG on the 10 miles!

Ok that's it for me! Have a great day everyone!
