May not make it to the park tomorrow until noon...worth it?

Our kids really want to experience Halloween at DLP, but some unavoidable circumstances may mean we don't arrive until noon. I know the park closes at 7. We did not get party tix (regretting that now.)

We don't really need to "do" much in terms of checking rides off of a list, and characters are not a priority (we want to see them but don't necessarily need meet and greets.)

Can we pull this off and still have a good time? Will it be a waste of our tickets? (We only have 1 day tix.)

Or should we just go to Disney Village tomorrow afternoon, walk around, let the kids wear their costumes, and then go back to DLP either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday?

Thanks for any advise you may have!

As I started reading, I was thinking I'd rather have 7 hours of DLP fun rather than not go at all.

But then I got to the part about only having 1 days tickets and you having the option to visit on another day instead.

In this case, I think I agree with Mark and would probably opt for a full day in the park.

Let the kids dress up for Halloween and go to the Village instead. There's lots to look at in the shops (we spent hours in the Lego shop alone, never mind any of the others!) and plenty of places to get a bite to eat or a full meal. You could even go to Cafe Mickey if you wanted to see some characters.

There's the Panoramagique balloon (if weather permits), which we did for the first time this summer and really enjoyed.

Also, I think they usually have some special Halloween entertainment in the Village too so you won't totally miss out on the spooky fun!

Then, you still get to look forward to making the most of a full day in the park to do the rides and everything else :)

Just my opinion, but hope it helps!

Have fun whatever you do :thumbsup2

Another question. We purchased our 1-day tickets online. Is it possible to upgrade to 2-day tickets upon our arrival? Perhaps we could arrive after noon tomorrow and then return at rope drop the next day

Thanks!

Not sure about upgrading the tickets - I thought the only way you could do that was to upgrade to an AP once in the park and then the original cost of the ticket is deducted from the AP. If you do fancy doing the balloon there is a groupon on the French groupon site for it at the moment :)

Perfect, thank you!

It looks like we might only be an hour late, so arriving at 10 am instead of 9 am. If that's the case, we're going to just go for it. Our ride wish list is really small and we mostly want to soak up the atmosphere and do things like the castle and Alice's maze, and it seems those things aren't really dependent on wait times.

If it looks like we won't make it until noon, we will then just go to Disney Village and do the balloon. Thanks for the tip about the Groupon!

Honestly, considering how crazy busy it as at the moment (I'm at DLP right now)... I would advice to go another day.
Halloween season is still on tomorrow and Sunday. So if possible I would advice to come on Sunday.
You still have all of the Halloween decorations, the cavalcade, the characters and the atmosphere.
But since a lot of people who are here over the weekend for the Soiree will leave Sunday afternoon...it's going to be a lot less crowded than it is now.

There's quite a lot of entertainment going on in Disney Village tonight.
So maybe it's a great idea to stick around there for the evening and go to the park tomorrow or Sunday.

Thanks. I think we'll brave the crowds anyway. Halloween is such a huge deal to my kids and is as big to them as Christmas (they are really missing their American traditions as we've been living in the UK this year) and going the day after would be a bit like having Christmas the day after Christmas. :)

Plus, they want to wear their costumes and not feel silly if no one else is dressed up.

So we'll be there in 2 hours! Wish us luck. We're prepared for absolute madness. :)
