I went on an Alaskan cruise last year and I must say that I HIGHLY recommend everyone visit Alaska at 1 point in their life if they can swing it. It is absolutley beautiful. I had no intention on ever going and only went because my bf wanted to go and I do not regret one minute of it, it is the best vacay I have ever been on.
I'll second this!!!! I've been twice, and totally loved and adored Alaska both times! The first was a cruisetour (on Princess). Fabulous, fabulous trip. Alaska is amazing, and vast and gorgeous! The second was last year with ABD. I was supposed to go to the Canadian Rockies, but they cancelled that tour, and I ended up on the Alaskan one. My gosh, did they do me a huge favor! (I'm sure the Canada trip is marvelous, too, but I *REALLY* loved the Alaska trip!) I think everyone needs to go to Alaska! I don't know anyone who hasn't been wow'd by it!

I swear you guys are better than drug dealers! I admit that it looks like I'm already planning for my next disney cruise, this time with my whole family (7 total, 2 parents 5 kids- all of us over 18). This time it looks like I'm trying to persuade them to do B2B cruises on the Dream next May. I know I'll eventually talk them into it, it just takes time. ;)
Better than drug dealers or WORSE????? :rotfl: This is my first DCL cruise. I am planning to go to WDW in January... But we'll see! Maybe I will be so enamoured of DCL, that I'll take a cruise instead! Stranger things have happened!

Sayhello

WE haven't had ours yet?? Should i be worries:eek:
Hi all. I was just wondering if I should have recieved my documents from DCL yet? I haven't talked to my TA lately, so I'm assuming he has them and for some reason hasn't told me about it??? Anyway, I'm going out of town (girls weekend) and will try and call him on my way out. Does everyone have them? Anne

As notice Jill earlier, if I remember well, the amount of port taxes for the med cruise has decreased.

It looks like some received a refund of these taxes on their credit card. I received a credit of 20,73 USD (party of 3) from DCL on my card on the 19th of April.

I wouldn't be. The only thing in them that you can't do online is the luggage tags and if it is anything like Florida, porters at the port will have tags that they can write your stateroom number on. All the other important documentation can be done online and printed out and brought with you.

I saw on another thread that the mail in the UK is running behind because of the volcano. Maybe the volcano ate your docs? :rolleyes1

For all those planners and packers out there:

Hi almost neighbor...we're in #2647.

Anybody stay in one of these end rooms? Loud from hallway noise? I didn't see any reviews for this room.

We have a 9pm slot that day. No call yet.

Hey, were in 2643 and 2645...i checked a few reviews of these rooms from cruise critic, some said it was little noisy nd some said it was horrible when pullig into port.

Made several updates to the website over the last several days:

DIS Meets: Added times for several meets. Added plan for Stateroom Crawl.

Links: Added new links for more blogs.

Cruise Info: Updated wines to be included in the Med wine packages along with Wine Spectator ratings/price points.

Excursions: Added new openings for several private tours...check them out if you're still looking!

Maybe it did...didn't think of that:rotfl:

You'll persuade them when you come back off this vacation telling them what an awesome time you had in the Med and all the fabulous new friends you made ;)

They already went on a 3 night Wonder cruise last August thanks to the $99 bounceback offer that I got. Only problem was that we were alittle smushed in 2 cabins for all 7 of us. So the I am planning on booking 3 cabins to spread us out. I really am laying it on my parents hard telling them that if I book on the ship we can save $700 and I can get $900 in OBC.

Only thing I'm not telling them is that if I do these 2 cruises I will finally make Gold Castaway Club status (there still is hope for me to get Platinum by 30!) :cool1:

Glad to see that I'm not the only one obsessing LOL! I have all these already programmed into my IPOD and check them daily... ok seven times a day :lmao:

I am sure that your TA has your docs. We booked though our favorite TA, as always, and we just received ours last week.

Alright change of plans again for my family's next cruise. Looks like instead of the whole family doing a B2B cruise on the wonder next year, that my parents instead are going to be going on the Baltic cruise on June 24. They are not travelers at all but my Mom was born and raised in an American Swedish household and her whole life she has wanted to go there, so what better way than on a Disney cruise! (I swear I am rubbing off on them.) I am very happy that the prices were cut in half so that they can afford this. They of course know nothing about what to do, so they are trusting me to take care of all the arrangements.

In addition it is my Mom's birthday on the cruise so I'm hoping to speak with Palo's manager while I am onboard and hopefully get them dinner reservations. Wish me the best!

Sounds like a perfect idea to get them Palo ressies.

I was just watching the videos from our TA. I was wondering if they will be doing the cha-cha slide again this cruise. Man, if I had a $ for every time we did it in 07, I could have paid for this cruise!:lmao:

I also watched the videos posted by the dis crew. I was amazed to see so many of the same staff members still on board! YEAH!

Which videos are you referring to? Has anyone kept up with the cruise critic daily blog while on the April 24th sailing?

The concierge has written back asking for the final tally for the wine tasting. I put out a date last week to be the official closing but waited until today to send the final numbers incase anyone new joined the board and was interested. So..... the wine tasting sign up will need to close now. I am sure if anyone is still interested then they can sign up with guest relations on board. I will get the final list posted here and if Jeff could update the web site that would be fantastic.

Found out yesterday that my new 3G version of the Ipad which was supposed to arrive today was actually mailed today and is currently in Hong Kong and should get here until the 4th. UGGGGHHHHH. I am not a patient man when it comes to my toys.:headache:

Holy cow..... Only 15days until we sail and 12 days until I fly out of here!!!

I was watching our videos from the TA and the April 24th videos.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you iPad!pixiedust:

Two weeks until we are on the plane!!!

We've been watching the Cruise Critic videos (short) and the DIS videos, photos and comments from the "Magic Mediterranean" link at the top of the DIS forums and on Facebook.

I have become obsessed with blogs and videos about this cruise. I will probably have to go on some medication soon if it gets any worse!
I just found out that my wife is trying to pull one on me. Come to find out, my I pad is being delievered today but she tried to hide that one from me to suprise me tonight. She told me yesterday that it was shipped today but will arrive on May 4th and is currently in Hong Kong. Ill play that I dont know. They sent an email confirmation telling me its coming today and while trying to send a note back to the concierge about wine tasting... There it was. I love my wife for keeping me on my toes.

I have officially notified the concierge of the finals. Jeff, could you add Kehonuamemano (1) and Amtrak 23 (2) to the list for the wine tasting. PLEASE everyone check this list and let me know if you are not on it. It gets kind of hard to keep track when one of my lists has DIS board names but the list I give to the concierge has real names but I think I have it all straight.
