Well I don't speak French so I am not certain. I am going by this website and Google translator. http://www.revesdecimes.fr/
The last page is the operating hours and when I type it in Google translator it says that from May 3 to June 18 it is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 6:00. Several months ago I tried to contact by e-mail but got no response. Of course they weren't operating at that time of the year and I e-mailed in English. If any of our French speaking cruisers could confirm that would be great. Lots of great pictures on their website and a few videos on youtube but again all in French and from 2007 and 2008 so can't guarantee it is open.

Two cruise operators are selling excursions from Ajaccio to somewhere so one must still exist. I figure our choices are a few Napoleon sites, mountains or beaches. Living in Hawaii we can go to the beach 365 days a year so mountains it is.

I had no reaction to my mail. Then I have decided to contact them by phone (00334.95.21.89.01). They have confirmed that the adventure park of Vero will be opened on 23rd of May. In their publicity, they say that they are the largest on Corsica.

Great,

I finally receive their mail which say, if I translate :
'Hello,
Sorry to have not received the mail of your clients' :rotfl: 'but with all the virus, maybe we pay too much attention. Thus, I confirm you that we will be open Sunday 23 May from 10h to 18h.

Sportivly

Thank you!

Let me know how much and i can sort out cash onboard or paypal if you want it before then.

Yummy!!!!

Costco had the Jolly Ranchers so check! I'll run by Target or Walmart to check on the Lifesavers. We can settle up onboard....I know where you will be on 5/15. :)

Maybe since Disney now owns Marvel we might get to see Iron Man 2 on the cruise? I just read it comes out before we leave.

MAHALO for those that worked to contact the company in Corsica with the zip lines. It is great to know that they will be open as scheduled.

So now I am planning the Naples excursion. The facebook pages of the Magic in Mediterranean as me interested in doing Pompeii and Sorrento. Just not wanting to pay the $149 Disney price. It looks easy enough. Just need to buy a U5 zone day ticket on the metro system then take the 1,4 or 152 bus to train station. Take the train to Pompeii. Tour for a few hours. Back to train station to go to Sorrento. Eat lunch at the #2 restaurant in Sorrento as listed in TripAdvisor. Look around in Sorrento. Call the cheese factory for the free transportation from city center to factory. Back to city center. Train back to Naples. Take Metro #2 to Museo and the National Archeological Museum then #201 bus or taxi back to ship. Has anyone done this and is it that easy? Looks like this should cost us about $60.

Joe,

That should be really easy. I suggest checking out Rick Steves' Naples guide. I found just the Naples and Amalfi Coast book at Barnes and Noble this weekend. He has some self-guided tours for Pompeii, Sorrento, and the Archeological Musuem. I've used his self-guided tours before and they are excellent.

I'm planning on going to Hurculeneum and then Sorrento. Do you have the info on the cheese factory? That sounds really cool.

The tripadvisor reviews say the tour is good but the lunch is not worth the extra money. I am looking at this restaurant for lunch. http://www.oldtavernasorrentina.it/ I want a authentic wood oven pizza in a good restaurant and this looks like it works. How far apart is the Hurculeneum. It sounds like the better choice but the wife thinks Pompeii is the only place to go.

All Traveled Out ? I thought that was only a work term. I was able to stop most of my business travel 3 years ago and am still traveling off the banked frequent flyer and hotel points. Hated business travel but love vacation travel, have visited 47 states, over 2/3 of the US Counties and 4 Continents, now just need a Panama Cruise.

Just curious as to which states you havent visited yet....

It's actually at a bad time for us too...it overlaps the Disney marathon week and we were seriously thinking about doing the Goofy challenge - half marathon on Saturday and marathon on Sunday.

Wow Jeff that is some serious running! The most I have ever run was 5 miles! I actually just participated in a relay race 2 weeks ago along the Jersey Shore, it was from Seaside to Asbury Park! So much fun we do it every year and raise a lot of money for Special Olympics.

PS. We just got to Barcelona today, and the weather is great here!

PPS. Just got our cabin assignment: #2641

Hi almost neighbor...we're in #2647.

Anybody stay in one of these end rooms? Loud from hallway noise? I didn't see any reviews for this room.

Got a call from DCL yesterday. This sounds weird, but they have asked us to reschedule our Palo dinner when we get onboard. Our reservation was at 8:30 on the last night (which was the only slot available at the time). Their reason is that due to labor restrictions with the Barcelona port, the latest seating at Palo on that night is 7:00. But if that is truly the reason, how are they able to do the late seating dinners? Confusing, to be sure. I was so looking forward to not having to do the mad rush to Rockin Bar D upon embarkation. Oh well, it's not a huge deal if we get bumped. It's not like we'll starve!

We have a 9pm slot that day. No call yet.

Hi all. I was just wondering if I should have recieved my documents from DCL yet? I haven't talked to my TA lately, so I'm assuming he has them and for some reason hasn't told me about it??? Anyway, I'm going out of town (girls weekend) and will try and call him on my way out. Does everyone have them? Anne

Jill, if you can't find them let me know. I can check BJ's, Costco and Sam's wholesale clubs here in Delaware. (plus no sales tax in DE) :woohoo:

I'm getting so excited...2 weeks from now we should be getting ready to land in Barcelona. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
I better seriously start thinking about what to pack. :confused3

Call Disney, travel docs have been mailed to your personal address, should not have gone to agent.

Vermont, Alaska and South Carolina. I was in Savannah GA and did not have time to run up to have lunch, opportunity mised.

I went on an Alaskan cruise last year and I must say that I HIGHLY recommend everyone visit Alaska at 1 point in their life if they can swing it. It is absolutley beautiful. I had no intention on ever going and only went because my bf wanted to go and I do not regret one minute of it, it is the best vacay I have ever been on.

There are no reviews of that particular room but just look for rooms beside it or on the opposite side of the hall. Looks like a typical review for rooms in that section...little noise from foot traffic (makes sense as very few people go back there except guests in those rooms). Noise when docking because they're right above the aft thrusters.

Agreed. We booked through a TA as well. The docs were mailed to us. Looks like yours were lost in the mail.

I swear you guys are better than drug dealers! I admit that it looks like I'm already planning for my next disney cruise, this time with my whole family (7 total, 2 parents 5 kids- all of us over 18). This time it looks like I'm trying to persuade them to do B2B cruises on the Dream next May. I know I'll eventually talk them into it, it just takes time. ;)

I received my cruise documents a few weeks ago. I did not use a TA so the documents came directly to me, I'd give your TA a call to make sure everythings OK, check info and flights ect. Good luck.:thumbsup2

We received our documents weeks ago
Hope you get your documents soon!

You know with our powers of persuasion i bet we could sell sand to a Saudi Arabian sheikh, and make a tidy profit to fund our next cruises.

The Dream is going to be awesome - we're doing a B2B in April 2011 for my Birthday and i swear the day i step off this cruise i will be in full planning mode for those. :rotfl2:

You'll persuade them when you come back off this vacation telling them what an awesome time you had in the Med and all the fabulous new friends you made ;)
