Hello fellow cruisers! First time cruisers here so bare with us.

We got upgraded from a cat 12 GTY to a cat 10, so sadly we appear to be one of the few who didn't get a cat 6. :confused3

We're looking for some private tours to share, or anything else fun and exciting.

Theoretically how many times can one eat at Palo? Do they limit you so everyone has a chance or can we just simply add our name to the wait list on embarkation day (we are already confirmed for Day 11).

Sean (31)
Danielle (27)
Stateroom #2647
Late seating

Getting excited to see all the ports!

Welcome, amtrak23!

Theoretically, you can eat at Palo as many times as you can manage to get a reservation. When booking Online before embarkation, you can only book one of each kind of meal (Dinner, brunch & tea), but once you're on the ship, if it is available, you could eat there every night, and twice more during the day on Sea Days. :cool1:

Sayhello

Hi Jeff could you please add Michael and I to the late dinner seating, there will most probably only be the two of us, from past experience as soon as we board our son ditches us for kids clubs, I don’t thinks it (cool) to hang with the parents when your 12!!!!!!!!!!!

The Disney kids clubs are quite simply the best, we have cruised with a few cruise lines now and they don’t even come close to Disney, you just know that your child is safe and they have so much fun and make so many new friends.

Welcome amtrak23! :grouphug:

On the upgrades, actually you're not. If you look back through the thread, there are people that booked at Cat 12 GTY and got a Cat 12, or an 11, 10 or 9. Some, for no readily apparent reason, were lucky enough to get upgraded to Cat. 6.

On the private tour sharing, check out the Excursions Tab on the cruise website linked below. Click on the "Private Tour Openings" to see what's available. :)

Joanne: Will do!

Oh, she's already in? I can take my name off then and invade OTHER people's staterooms. :cool1: pirate::dancer:

Is someone pimping out my veranda??????? :rotfl:

You can put me on the list if you want. I know I have the coolest stateroom. :cool2:

Jill

We are checking out a private van thru DCL. I am waiting for an email to see what they have to offer.. From the other posts I have read it's all about the same 9 hr. can extend $699.00 per van fits 7 people. We are seniors so we want to look into this so maybe.. we won't have to walk as far, and get more rest stops than a regular tour. Looking to do this in Rome as so many of you are doing. Will advise when I hear. Pooh:)

I was checking out the deck plan and it looks like you'll have an incredibly large veranda! Definitely the coolest Cat 6 stateroom (especially at a GTY 12 price)!

On one of our cruises, DD made friends with a little girl staying in the Walt Disney Suite. THAT was incredible!!!

we don't know a word about wine tasting and don't drink wine very much.......and the problem of the lenguage for my wife.

do you think we could enjoy it? what do you do in wine tasting.....

My roommate speaks Spanish and she can show you how to drink wine.:)

ok we have 2508,(cat 9) and we would like be part of the crawl(is that the name?), so you have a list of staterooms and categories?

thank you

thank you llkoolj40, but my wife say that she thinks we are not going to enjoy it, specially her....thank you but we have to meet each other, and my wife can speaks with other people like your friend.

qhen i'm talking about crawl.....we have to say a day to stay thera or are we going to do a tour all together?

I've added the crawl to the DIS Meets tab on the website and listed those that have volunteered their rooms up until about 4 pm this afternoon. I've never done one of these so I don't know how best to do it. Crawl does kind of imply moving as a group from one room to another but the logical engineer in me says perhaps only the Cat 1 suites (and jedijill's verandah :rotfl:) can handle big groups, so it'd probably be better to string it out over some period of time. Perhaps in smaller groups or independently. Anyone with stateroom crawl experience here? :)

Seeing Travelbee's post above makes me think...I recall someone in our group was assigned the stateroom next to the Walt suite. If we get that stateroom to participate *PERHAPS* those in the Walt suite will see us doing the crawl and invite us over.

Well it COULD happen. :)

Edit: DopeyFan1966's Cat 4 room, that she's already volunteered, is only 10 doors down from the Walt suite and 3 doors down from one of the Cat. 2 suites.

Main seating is the early seating. Thanks for the offer of your staterooms keho, Pilar, Jean and Cindy! :thumbsup2

Hey Jeff, thank you for my first DIS nickname but can I change it to kehonu instead? It means the turtle in Hawaiian, which incidentally I am (a Hawaiian not a turtle) :).

There is just something about ke-ho LOL that reminds me of I-da-ho;).

Aloha,

RRC

Absolutely! No offense intended kehonu, I'm just too lazy to type out your whole DIS name.

Turtle...I like that. :thumbsup2

I have the price list from DCL if you would like it. The file is an excel file just let me know.

The prices are higher the other private companies.

How many people are in your group?

:tiptoe:

This is what I know about the cabin crawl---
Groups of 20 or less is easier to manage
Start the crawl either by deck #'s or by Cat. #
Use lanyards as identification for your crawl
If possible--have a lead crawler---can move group along and locate cabins
Take pictures----how many crawlers can fit into a Cat ????
Crawl can take place after meet and greet and end up with victory drinks !
Have fun and perhaps you will find your perfect cabin for your next Cruise !!! :goodvibes

Guess we need a sign up sheet

Hello fellow cruisers.

This will be our first cruise (thanks to Travelbee for asking we join them)! We're so glad it's a Disney cruise because we are huge Disney fans. I've been amazed with all the planning and organization that goes into these boards, FE, Dismeets, etc. Thank you to Jeff and all that contribute!

Counting down the days till we all meet
Helen :goodvibes
