Hi there,

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I also have a 11.20am flight on the 26 May back to Orlando, I was nervous about booking this flight (thanks again for the information by the way Jeff :)) as it was before 12.30pm.

I have booked the Disney transport from port to the airport and I have spoken to DCL who advised that the ship should be cleared by 7.00am and there is plenty of transport departing for the airport from 7am - 9.30am.

Anyway just thought I would let you guys know what I have found out if this helps at all!

Splitting the list is a great idea. The last one we did had 40+ participants and took a long time to find them all. Perhaps we can split them between staterooms with and without children? I looked through the list and it seems evenly split right now. That way, the adult FE gifts could be more tailored to adults while the stateroom with kids get FE gifts with little toys/treats that kids enjoy?

I'm ok with splitting the list somehow. Right now I'm planning on 1 per stateroom (assuming that the FE list on the website is one family per cabin=25 currently) I am one that will have space issues.

That sounds a reasonable way of doing it. I'll reassess the list about a week before the deadline and start doing a split which i will finalise on the sign up deadline.

If anyone has to be in the same group with another FE particpant then let me know. Same goes if you really don't want to be in the same group as someone (say you have two cabins both particpating separately and don't want to give to your other cabin)

I will issue a list of stuff we need on April 15th (prob by PM to each particpant and a post on here, plus if Jeff puts it on website too) to make sure we have all the correct information for everyone doing the FE.

Congratulations on your Masters, is it Ohio State ? I love finding out where people are from and finding out things about their communities. I spent a few years in Columbus and went to Ridgeview. This was way back at the time of the Kent State tragedy, I lived near Reed and Henderson which is much different today then it was back then. What part of town are you in ?

No, Im getting my Masters in Divinity at Trinity Lutheran Seminary over by Capital U. Right now Im living on campus there.

Whew finally made it through all the pages!! I just got back from WDW (4 days, 4 Parks). Glad to see I didn't miss much while I was away. And btw for all those who wanted Mickey Bars, no can do, I didn't even get one this weekend. ;)

According to the Barcelona port authority web site there will be no other cruise ships in port on the morning of 5/26 so I would think that would make getting a taxi that much easier.

It doesn't take much to set them off, does it? I love how the one guy went back & deleted all his posts because people disagreed with him. Gotta love it! Much happier here! :thumbsup2

It seems like it's that one guy (sdlong) that is the main source of their problems. I was just skimming back through other posts of his in the thread (his wife Donna also posts under the same DIS name) and there are a number (on smoking, dress code in Palo) that have irritated/offended other cruisers. It's irritating when someone feels like it HAS to be their way or that they're always right - ESPECIALLY in matters that are really trivial.

Here's to the 5-15 Med Cruisers! :grouphug: :yay:

Enjoying our Spring weather here in Florida and beginning to think about our Cruise clothes. Wow--the 50 lbs , 1 suitcase limit is difficult ! Guess I will be in the laundry room at least once (maybe twice) !!!

Hope you all are having fun planning for our adventure !!! pirate:

What I don't understand is why bother?! I thought the main idea was to exchange information and make friends! Silly people. Yeah us! :rotfl::dance3::flower3:

BTW, I just bought a dirndl for the upcoming spring fest in Stuttgart. I was thinking it might also work well for pirate night? Even though it is purple? Kinda like Jeff's wife/daughter's wench idea? Or maybe I am just being silly. I want to wear it again for something!

Ha...I had to look up what a dirndl was! From the pictures that popped up on Google image I think it would work! :thumbsup2

If she hadn't said "Stuttgart" and mentioned wearing it for pirate night I wouldn't have know what it was either.

After first I was like, why would we care that she bought something to read books on while there, but then I was like, "oooooooohhhh," I know what she is talking about. GREAT IDEA. I'm going to Kaiserslautern next week and I'm thinking about getting one also. I've wanted one for a while, now I have an excuse to get one.

I used to go to K-Town to eat at Taco Bell. ;) I had to stand in line for 45 minutes to get served.

Have you been to Ramstein's new BX? It's bigger than a super Walmart and they don't even sell food. You could get lost in there, plus they now have a Macaroni Grill, brand new movie theatre and a huge food court. The new lodging is pretty nice there also.

I left Germany in March, 2000 so I'm sure there have been some pretty nice changes. I like the restaurant in Heidelberg that had the different stations. That was living high on the hog!

just went to a different site and created new tickers. No need for causing problems on the great site.
I guess I'm going to do the same. But it's kind of sad, because I've been watching that ticker count down for months now, and I'm gonna have to start all over again on the left-hand side! :confused3

only 7 weeks on Friday till our cruise

I can't believe how quickly it's flying in. We're currently just waiting on our DVC resale offer to ROFR from Disney so it's exciting times. Hopefully the DVC contract will be signed, sealed and confirmed before we sail. That would be something to have a few cocktails for !!!
