Jeff, thank you for doing the website, what a great thing! Could you put the days of the formal, semi-formal and pirate nights on there? I keep forgetting, then I have to search through the thread again. Maybe I should put them in my calendar.

FE is currently at 17 so not too bad (at the moment).

I haven't counted up the number of people but i reckon it'll be somewhere around 180 people so far

So is that 17 families signed up for FE's? How many people? I need to start planning my gifts. Also did you put a deadline on Fe sign up? I can't remember.

Yes, Jamie, adults dress up as well for pirate night! It's so much fun. But no worries, you will be given a pirate bandana and an eye patch! You can also buy pirate paraphinalia in the shops. My sons favorites are the fake scars.

I am travelling with my husband and 2 children ages 7, 9, and in Corsica would love to go to the beach. I see that Disney has an excursion to the beach but am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to do on your own? I'm afraid that we could get there, by taxi but may have a hard time getting a taxi to get back to the ship. Does anyone know?

Deadline is one month before sailing so 15 April.

Depending on how many more sign up for FE by then it may be worth splitting the list into a couple of groups. Don't want anyone to find it too expensive or too heavy in relation to luggage restrictions.

We can decide once we get closer to the April deadline.

Yes adults do dress up. This is us last May. We'll probably wear the same/similar this year.

The guy in the bottom leftof the picture below is wearing the bandana you get given. There weren't any eye patches given out last yr, though i don't know if this has changed recently.

This is our pirate ship that we made out of our table, a high chair and spare tablecloth (with pirate dog in the crows nest). And our table was 4 couples who didn't know each other before the cruise. (We're waving plastic pirate swords from the drinks)

Thanks for sorting the website out Jeff. It's a great idea, it's a little difficult to organise the info in the thread - even with posting some of it in post one.

Once you have set it up i'll put a link in post 1 along with the other major bits of information.

Looks great Jeff! Thank you so much. Now I need to reschedule Palo's. We are booked on pirate night! Although my son has decided that he no longer likes pirates because he thinks they are bad guys.

They stopped giving out the bandanas!!!! I always counted on that as my costume. Guess I will have to go dig mine out. yikes....

OH Jeff, my DH's name is Jimmy and DS is Max, we are in room 6576. And I love the picture of the boat in Barcelona port with the fireworks. What a magical night that was!

we sailed the western caribbean Nov 2008 and they did not give away bandanas or eye patches. The do have a large area in the gift shop to buy pirate gear so I wouldn't worry about packing. I have a great Davy Jones Halloween outfit with the snakes for a beard etc but it looks so life like that the last time we sailed and I wore it, everyone around me thought I was a cast member and I was posing for pictures with random children. It got uncomfortable so Im keeping it simple this year. The costume is pretty large/ heavy so Davy Jones is not traveling internationally. Thanks for the web site. Great idea.
