May Med Magic - May 15 2010 - Meet thread

Awesome! I told him I was trying to get 4-6 people pulled together! My husband and I are very cool people..(don't drink or smoke) we don't care if people drink we just don't and we know that in europe(been before) that people smoke so we are prepared!

I know what your thinking...you don't drink or smoke yet your going to Italy!! Anyhoo I am hoping to have these excursions finalized by the first of the year so if your in let me know!

I will be in WDW this Thursday and I am so EXCITED

Hello everyone. I just wanted to say hello. We booked a week ago to take advantage of the insane Cat 12 prices! Our original plan was 8/7/10 but pushed it to 6/18/11 to save $2000. Then with these incredible prices, we just had to move the trip back up. It'll be my family (DH, DD7 and myself) and our friends (2A DS2 & DS6). Our friends have never done a cruise before so I'm not sure how much we'll participate with the Disboards yet. Our family just came off the 11/14 Western where we did the works, cruise meets, secret mickeys, FEs, group excursions, etc. There were 120 of Disers on that cruise.

I was surprise how little activity there are on this thread, especially with the trip less than 6 months away! Where is everyone staying? How far is the airport to the port? Where is everyone staying pre and post cruise?

Ok so cool! Welcome! Are you on our cruise or The June Cruise? I am slow so forgive me! I am actually feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that still needs to be done! We will pay it off in a couple of weeks and then go from there!

There's very little activity because there's not many DISers on this cruise (you and your friends make the 13th group on the meet list). I don't think the Med criuses have sold very well (until the Cat 12 offer of a week or so ago) and i'm assuming that generally families are waiting to sail during school holidays.

THat said, i'm expecting it to get a bit busier around here in the New Year as we'll be getting to paid in full date and excursion bookings dates, then we'll all start getting excited as it'll be "this year". At least that's how it'll be for me.

We're planning on doing our excursion research after Christmas (too much to do before then).

Wow it really looks like things are filling up now.

I think those Cat 12 deals are really doing the trick. They are still available over two weeks later so the ship must really be pretty empty still. I wonder what other enticements Disney might throw in to get people on board.

Sorry for the confusion. We are on this cruise and technically still on the June 2011 because we haven't cancelled yet. We're waiting until after Christmas to start planning but being never been to Barcelona, it's so overwhelming...

Our 2007 cruise was a BLAST! I've been hoping that Disney would return to the Med again. I booked most of our tours with private tour providers and every one of them was excellent. We also enjoyed the DIS meets and touring with our DIS friends. We're sooo looking forward to returning to the Med.
