Patent lawyers are fun!!! Let me know if you are ever looking for a paralegal, I'm looking for a job. ;)

You must know completely different patent lawyers to me :thumbsup2 I'm the only fun one that i know (and i guess i could be biased) :rotfl2::banana::rotfl2:

If you fancy commuting the 8/9 hour flight from Columbus to the UK every single day with no time off for good behaviour ... :rotfl:

Nearly the weekend... :yay:

Hope I input this right as I am new to both DISboards and Disney cruising. Name is Blake and sailing solo with GTY and second seating. Thanks for giving great advice throughout this thread! Looking forward to the cruise!

Welcome Blake!

sailing solo is fun! This is a great group so feel free to join in.

Jill, that picture made me son crazy happy! He has been saying he wants to be a 'scientist in space' since he was about 2. He has now moved onto 'writting books and scienist in space'. He is now 7. He is dying to go to space camp. I have promised that he can go as soon as we move stateside. (Then I had to promise his daddy also.) :lmao:

BTW, my husband is a contractor but was in the Armay, many many many years ago.

We'll see if we can't come up with some space stuff for our FE gifts for those scientists in space and fellow geeks. :)

Edit: Oh and here's a video I took of the STS-116 night launch. This was the first flight of a Space Shuttle Main Engine upgrade that I was the lead project engineer on. Believe it or not, I shot this on my digital camera in movie mode. It came out a lot better than I thought. The sound especially. Most amazing launch I've ever seen.

Wow, Jill! Great photo! I've never seen a launch from Kennedy Space Center, but I did manage to watch the test launch of an MX missile from Vandenburg Air Force base, back in my early techie days... I helped work on the operating system for that sucker.

All you space geeks. :goodvibes My kid sister would fit right in!

Welcome, Blake & Curls! It's a great group here.

That was an awesome video! One of the guys that work for me went down to Florida last month for the last night launch. I was so jealous!

Man, I just finished catching up on the EBTA thread... Got kind of ugly over there. One gal basically posted "Let's all just get along, and do your disagreeing in PM's" and got chewed out for it, and edited out her post!

I like it here much better!

Jeff, that is one incredible video! Too cool! :cool1:

Aloha Joe, Where did you buy the London Pass? I'm going to London for 5 days after the cruise and I'm trying to save money. London is expensive! Thanks for any info you can share.

I probably can't post websites yet but it is www . londonpass . com You can read all about it there. Order by the 15th to get free shipping to US. Also edit your basket and type in lonpas05 for another 5% discount on the order. Last week they were selling the 3 and 6 day passes at last years rates. Sorry you missed that.

Outside of London we are going up to Stratford-upon-avon for a play by Royal Shakespeare company. Only 5 pounds for students 18 - 26. Also if you join their facebook site they have special offers for adults for only 5 pounds as well.

We found cheaper lodging outside of London and for Ireland by going to trav . com Found some interesting B&B places that are cheaper than many of the hotels. And yes London is expensive but coming from Honolulu we are used to paying for sunshine.

There you go solo ladies...a solo guy! :rotfl2::thumbsup2:rotfl:
Speaking of the Shuttle, Susan (DW) was selected on Monday as a space flight honoree (we both are engineers at NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center) so she and I will be going down to the Kennedy Space Center for the launch of STS-131 on April 5th. Susan is the lead project engineer for an International Space Station payload going up on the flight called WORF (Window Orbital Research Facility). I haven't seen a launch in 3 years so it should be fun.

Jeff, I'll have to share all this with DH. He loves all things NASA. Back when you first booked the cruise, I told him there'll be a NASA engineer onboard (didn't know Susan is one too) and he got more excited about that then the cruise itself!

Hi Travelbee. I'm new to the board. From Dublin going on cruise with DH,
DD4 and DS2. It will be our first Disney cruise. As we're from Dublin we regularly go to London with kids and sometimes grandparents. The easiest way from London airport to centre is by train - it is very easy and you can buy tickets online or on the train itself. They usually have good deals like 2 for 1 online or kids go free. This is the way most people get to London. It is not a tube but a dedicated train from Airport - Gatwick Express, Heathrow Express - depending on which airport you fly into. Once we get to the centre as we usually have young children, prams, luggage etc. we do not get a tube to the hotel but go to entrance and get a taxi. London taxis are quite big - although with seven if you have a lot of luggage you may need two. Hope this information helps.
:welcome: Welcome and thanks for the info!

Thanks! I used to live in Honolulu and still have friends and relatives there. Which part of Honolulu do you live?

Actually over the mountain from Honolulu. Work in Kailua (accountant for the Down to Earth chain of health food stores) and live in Kaneohe. (Cheaper sunshine).

One more post and I get my PM privileges.:wizard:

Hi from HI

A four bedroom house in Kaneohe zipcode is about $100,000 less than the same house in Kailua. I have a 2 mile commute to save on the sunshine cost.

It will often (several dozen times a year) be raining at my house but sunny at my work. Hence the difference. And I save on my water bill by not having to water the lawn.:thumbsup2

Congrats!

Jeff that video was awesome! My boys really enjoyed it! Thank you!! Max's room is all planets. He makes me listen to earth and sky on our way to school every morning. He asks a lot of questions that mommy can't answer. LOL! I believe when he heard Pluto was no longer a planet he actually cried! (He may have been three):lmao:

I think the whole EBTA thread is weird. Why would you get on the boards to argue? It's a happy place! :hippie:

Kinda weird that so many people here have the same interests, or come from the same areas or the same background.

Anyway, time for bed!

Fáilte Curis,

You will love cruising on Disney. What part of Dublin are you in ? We fly into Dublin and spend a few days before driving up the N3 to visit family in Donegal. We will have to visit on the ship about your wonderful city.

Mike

Well I currently have the family signed up for the country train ride and sweet. I just don't like paying $400 for 4 hours. Comes from paying to much for the sunshine here in Hawaii. I am looking at renting a car from the airport. Will need to take the bus if it runs on Sunday from downtown out to airport. That is 4.5 euros. Best I have found for a car is $138 for a 4 door. Would drive back into town and pick up family. We would drive out to this place http://www.revesdecimes.fr/ It is a place where they have a dozen rope courses up to 100 feet up in the trees that you can climb around on. Tarzan swings. 5 zip lines and a bunch of other things I don't know what they are.

Looks like it is about 20 miles up into the mountains. Was wondering if this sounded fun to anybody. They are open on weekends in May and that is more than most of the town is. Looking to see if anyone else would want to come along on an adventure. They also do canyoning but that might be to cold an adventure for my family. Also any other places look like fun to drive to. Maybe the gorges that everyone talks about but that option is no longer available on our cruise at least not right now.

Anybody speak French? We'd love a translator!

STLUCIELADY, I believe we are on your flight. We fly out of Orlando on U.S. Airways at 2:58 and then out of Philly at 6:30 on Thursday, May 13 arriving in Barcelona at 8:35 a.m.. You and I are the two ladies doing this whole trip with 1 carry-on! Look forward to meeting you. We live in Clermont, Florida.

I'm so glad you will be on our flight! Maybe we can find a nice Philly person to deliver a few Shortis, a WaWa coffee and maybe a pretzel or two! :rotfl2:
Always glad to meet a fellow Floridian who can do the whole trip with a carryon. We actually live in Port St Lucie but we also have a condo a mile outside the maingates so leaving out of Orlando is very convenient.
