You guys aren't helping me. I'm trying to stop myself from booking another cruise while onboard. I would love to do the TA in May next year.

Come to the Dark Side, Luke. We have cookies (and Mickey ice cream!)

Trying to hit Platinum before age 30. Only 6 more cruises after this one. In the past 14 months I have gone on 4 disney cruises. I'm sick I tell you!

Hey AlohaJoe23,
I had a quick question about the zip lining adventure that you are going on...is that park open all year long because when i was trying to research it some say its open thru june-aug. This park sounds perfect for my family too because i have two daughters 24 & 21 and they love outdoor activities. If you know that the park is for sure open will you leave a message on the board for me i would really appreciate it.

Thank you, Kia :goodvibes

Well I don't speak French so I am not certain. I am going by this website and Google translator. http://www.revesdecimes.fr/
The last page is the operating hours and when I type it in Google translator it says that from May 3 to June 18 it is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 6:00. Several months ago I tried to contact by e-mail but got no response. Of course they weren't operating at that time of the year and I e-mailed in English. If any of our French speaking cruisers could confirm that would be great. Lots of great pictures on their website and a few videos on youtube but again all in French and from 2007 and 2008 so can't guarantee it is open.

Two cruise operators are selling excursions from Ajaccio to somewhere so one must still exist. I figure our choices are a few Napoleon sites, mountains or beaches. Living in Hawaii we can go to the beach 365 days a year so mountains it is.

Ok, tablemates and anyone else who might see me at dinner, I have a question for you. Do you think it would be bad if I didn't pack a skirt to wear at dinner for any of the semi-formal/formal nights. Im thinking of only bringing a pair of nice black pants with a few nice blouses. I really have to cut down on what I'm bringing because of my European tour afterwards. So do you think I would be ok?
The only skirts I own are used for costumes when I do community theatre. I will only be wearing nice slacks. (Well, nice tops with them, too.) I'm bringing a black pair and a black pinstripe pair. The only reason I'm bringing 2 is in case I spill something on one pair, I can wear the other while the soiled pair gets cleaned. You should be fine!

Yeah like the Borg from Star Trek. Maybe that's why Disney gave us the big cabins, they were afraid.;)

The Force is strong with me. I felt a disturbance when I was upgraded! (Maybe that was just my jaw hitting the ground)

Jill

Yeah I'm with you there. We live in San Diego, CA of course the beaches aren't half as nice as Hawaii :rotfl2: but we want a change of scenery too. :cool1: I'll keep looking into it, and I'll keep you posted.

Thanks, Kia

After hearing suggestions and input from others i definitely am looking to book a private tour thru Rome. However, in order for it to be beneficial there needs to be at least 8 or 9 in the group. I know we are a little late but if there are any families or couples that would like to hear more about this particular private tour please send me a message on the boards and i can give you my email so that i can provide you with the website and all information that i have acquired.

Thanks Kia :cutie:

I have a look on this web site.

They propose different activities:
Hiking and Via Ferrata all the year.
Canyoning from April to October
Adventure Playground which, for the period we are concerned (between 3rd May and 18th June), opens Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10H00 am to 6H00 pm.

I sent them an e-mail in French to ask if they will be open the 23th May. I will keep you in touch if I receive a confirmation.

Note as there is also an adventure parc in Vizzavona (see my post of yesterday):
http://www.visit-corsika.com/vizzavona+parc+aventure-bocognano-403.html

But in May, it is only open on reservation (for a group of minimum of 8)

For sure, we tender in La Spezia and afterwards. How long it takes depends on where you are in the priority and how early you're there to get your tender ticket.

Hm. What would be a worst case scenario? I'd like to buy my La Spezia train tickets in advance, but I need to know when I'll be off the ship.

How does getting back on the ship work, do you get a time slot for a return tender?

Sorry, for all the questions, this is our first cruise.

For Tunis, I haven't had much luck contacting tour operators. The one that responded could only do fixed packages, not arrange something custom. We'll probably just hire a taxi (assuming we get off the ship with enough time).

PS. We just got to Barcelona today, and the weather is great here!

PPS. Just got our cabin assignment: #2641

What does that great weather look like? What's the temperature? Sunny? Everyone's definition of "great weather" is different! :)

Worst case scenario I guess could be an hour if you show up late to get your tender ticket and have to wait for several boats to load out before you can get on. If you're making a private tour connection or are catching a train you've already booked, I'd plan to get to the Buena Vista Theatre (or where ever they're handing out tickets on this cruise) and be sure not to be late. At tender ports, in terms of returning to the ship, you simply queue up in a line back at the dock. Disney cast members will be there directing you.

For both of you, on the cruise website, under the excursions page, there are listings for private tour openings people have already booked. I'd be happy to put yours up there as well.

Is definitely not a tender port for us. Here's a pic of the Magic docked in Valletta. Also, cruisers reported they have free wi-fi internet in the Valletta cruise terminal.
