Tell me more about May in WDW, specifically what kind of crowds can I expect? I thought I picked a good month, school isn't out, spring break over, not going near Memorial Day weekend.
Thanks

Iam going the same month .We are going the frist week of may. We pick the week for the very same reason you did. I will be pulling out my children from school to go. The school said if the grades and attendance was good there would not be a problem. :dance3:

We are going the same week. First week of May 08. First family trip and taking the kids out of school. My oldest in 3rd grade does struggle in school but I already talked to his teacher about it and she said it was no problem so I'm happy. This will probably be the only time we get to go so I hope it is a nice trip!!

I have A third grader (9 boy) and a Sixth grader. (12 year old boy) I can not wait to tell them . They will find out at christmas. I want to go now . I am starting to get Mickey withdraw. I have not been since 1990.

Wonderful time to go. We went the first week this past May. MK and MGM were empty. No lines on most rides. Max wait was 20 minutes on the most popular rides. Epcot had crowds because of the flower show. AK was very crowded when we went both times (a Tuesday & Friday).

The weather was perfect. Mid 80s each day. Hot in the sun. So swimming and water parks are good. It rained twice for 15 minutes the whole week (at be it, a complete down pour for 15 minutes).

Mother's Day weekend is nice. Epcot has a really nice lunch on the Sunday and mothers are given flowers as the enter each of the parks.

There is a concert series at Epcot and the flower show is really nice. Our kids loved the butterfly garden and Pluto's playground (both there only for the show). But as I said, the park was very crowded. Make use of fastpass on the popular rides.

Check out which days AK has morning magic hours. Get there for the 8 AM openning and hit the popular attractions first, eat some breakfast, then do the shows, other rides, and Rafiki's Planet Watch.

It's a wonderful time of year to go with the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot going on and the crowd levels aren't horrible. There is an increase around Mother's Day but that can be avoided, depending on what weekend you go. :)

May is also when the humidity starts coming back so watch for that but otherwise pack your sunscreen and enjoy! ;)

MAY is awesome!! We went last May 13-19. Crowds were low, all wait times were under 20 minutes. No wait for Space Mtn one day!! Weather was great, mid 80's during the day, cooling down into the 70's at night.

It was so great we are going again this May the same week!! May 10-17

There's a group of us talking about our May plans over on another thread -

We are also May visitors! Our first trip was amazing. We have 2 more May trips in the planning. I loved seeing all the beautiful topiaries and flowers in Epcot. Plus there are concerts and events during the Flower and Garden Festival.

We cant wait... we are taking our 1st WDW vacation next May and cant be more excited... our daughter will only be 4 so dont have to worry about school... and I thought it was a good time to go between spring break and summer vacation... and before Memorial Day

We are going May 9th through the 17th.... when is mothers day???

Add me down for another vote on the merry month of May. There isn't a better time to go to WDW than in May. The weather: perfect. The crowds: perfect. The location: perfect!

We have already planned and booked our May 08 trip from the 11th to the 23rd.

If you don't take my word for how I like WDW in May...just look at my Signature line.

We always go in May too! The earier the better. Temps usually start getting into the low 90's at the end of the month.

Early May crowds good, great weather.

May is a GREAT time to go. as stated in other posts the weather is beautiful and the crowds are good. Not crowded at all. We didn't really wait for any rides. It was so nice that i'm going again this year.

:yay: I was wondering about crowd size in May, I don't like huge crowds and long lines.

Hopefully if things go well the next couple months I'll be going the second full week of May.

May was a beautiful time to go (topiary's were great) - but we were anticipating that the parks would not be too crowded and we had very large crowds most days (we went May 3-12). Good thing we had all our Advance Dining Reservations.

Anytime is a Great Time in The World! - Hopefully you do not have the crowds.

I've been lucky enough to go the the last three years-- all in May! The weather is great, the parks aren't too crowded, and (we stayed in POP everytime) wasn't too crowded either!

New to the board. MY DH and I along with 3 other couple are going to Disney to celebrate our milestone birthdays (50th, 60th). For us we haven't been in over 10 years for another couple they have never been and another just loves disney and goes every chance they get. We are going May 11th to May 17 staying at POFQ. We hope we have picked a good week and a good proprety. Any help will be appreciated.:cool1:

Hi all, I'm new to this so forgive me! I'm trying to plan a trip to WDW in May 2008-looking at the 23rd through June 1--can anyone give me some info on the weather, attraction lines, crowds etc? I appreciate it!:) :)
