May I ask what a photo waiver is??

This is our first Disney cruise and I was wondering if it's more fun for the kids to wear Disney shirts and things with Disney characters on them? It's kind of a corny question but I'm sure my daughter would like to be cool on her first cruise.

Thanks...

The phote waiver allows you to make copies of the professional pictures taken and purchased on the cruise. A photo shop will not reprint these pictures without it. It does not cost anything to get the waiver. So if you want enlargements or duplicates you need the waiver.

DD8 wore her character clothes on the cruise. It was fun for her when she saw a character that she was wearing and they would acknowledge it. The characters on the cruise do seem to spend a little more time with the kids that at the parks.

So...................

If we get one of these waivers, we can take our shutters pictures and have copies made?

Pray tell where do I get this magical piece of paper??????????

Steve

Yes, with the waiver you can have copies made.
We hope to use our family photos as Xmas cards ;)

If you forget or misplace the waiver, you know that it was intended :-} so you could also do your own copies. At least in our area many of the mass merchangts (ie: Wal-Mart, Target, etc) have do it yourself photo ditto machines that do not require negatives. You can print from the photo.

Good luck if you can get away with it...
Been there, done that, several times now at Target, Walmart, CVS, BJ's. etc and most of the time there is a code required before our machines will start.
CS will usually look at the proff. print and ask for the waiver before letting me copy.
This time I will be prepared ;)

I made 1 copy each of my professional photos from the cruise. It does have a copyright message on the machine. I was copying mine to do a scrapbook and told the girl behind the counter, what I needed the photo's for. I had no problems. Maybe it was because I only needed 1 copy and not several of the same picture. I had 5 different cruises to make picture copies of. I would have been bummed if I would not have been able to copy my picture's for my scrapbook. When I cruise in October I will make sure I get a waiver....

Sounds like there are some definite differences in machine usage by area of the country perhaps. I too make mine for personal use and have never had a problem. We don't need codes to start although there is a note posted about not copying without permission and the service people won't do it for you.

I'd prefer the waiver myself too. Thanks for letting us know about this! P.S. Scrapbookers - one of my local scrapbook supply stores just (like 2 days ago) added the Disney Cruise logo to their Klever Kuts assortment! A great item for that title page if your supplier carries it!

Just so I understand - you don't get the waiver on the ship, you have to email and get permission when you get home? And just for the record, you have to have the code at any of my local stores for the kodak picture makers, too.

Kelly,
Correct, you must e-mail, call or write for waiver w/your trip dates.
As I am not sure how long it takes to get the waiver I've applied before the cruise.
