We're looking at May 19-26 next year at WDW. Is it usually really busy this week? It is right before Memorial Day, so I'm unsure how it would be.

Thanks! ;)

Hi. I hope it is not too crowded. We are taking a spontaneous trip down to FL next week and will be there the week before Memorial Day. I will let you know..... I did see that the schedule the week before is not as "heavy." Parks close earlier, fireworks earlier, parade schedule lighter. I'm not too worried though---I figure we leave on Friday and that's when it is sure to get heavier. We noticed that when we were there in January right before the 3 day weekend. Friday was much heavier with people checking in.

I see that you are a "GF expert!" We are staying there for the first time when we go this month. Couldn't get in to BCV or BWV where we would prefer to stay so we thought we would try something different. DH is very very excited about staying there. We used our points for a GV room. We were at the Poly in January and noticed that you could hear everything. We have a boy with special needs who can be quite loud at times. I got a phone call from another guest at 9:30 one night! I was shocked--but upset. I put a request in or actually a note about our situation. I'm hoping that they find us a "noisy" area. I don't mind being by the elevators, etc. It is also much easier to be on the 1st floor with him and pool proximity helps too. Should I call before we go or maybe it doesn't really matter? Any advice and hints would be great. Thanks!! Enjoy your trip next year!! I'm sure it will be more crowded than January but any time at WDW will be great! I just don't want to go in the heat of July! Enjoy!! :flower:

We were there that time last year and I would call it "very crowded." Most popular rides were walk-on until about 11, decent until 12 and then obscene after that. We didn't want to be in the parks during most of the afternoon anyway because it was hot and humid, and we did fine because I forced my family up early and we were out of the parks mostly by noon. We waited at least 45 minutes for the tall slide at BB one afternoon (the name slips my mind).

I would rather go in the winter but am unwilling to give up snow skiing for WDW. :earseek:

We're probably gonna go next year that time. Points are lower :earsboy: . Althgough we may start homeschooling again in the 2006-7 year, in which case we would wait till September.
