May at FW Cabins ******THE TIME IS HERE ******

Yay! Tell Amanda

party: Happy 21st Birthday!!party:
She said "Thank you"

Looks like everyone was having an excellent time. The birthday girl looks really happy.

Cute cake too! Did you have it done or did you make it yourself? It looks great!

She is having a good time, the party is still going. They are watching black and white movies to go with the black and white theme.

I didn't make it. The mother of one of the girls at the party made it. It would be a big mess if I tried to make it...............:lmao:.

Happy 21's Amanda!!!! She does look happy, and looks like she's having a good time. Any party with Guitar Hero is a good one!! DH is in playing the new Aerosmith one that we got on friday night....it's been going non stop!!! HAHA

That looks like it was a fun party, we love guitar hero here too!! The cake is awesome and the chocolate fountain, oh my god, I want one!!! My best friend loves nothing more than chocolate covered strawberries, I should get her that for christmas!!

Looks like a fun party!
They had a good time. Dale, Dallas and I stayed in the bedroom and Tyler went over to his friends house. They all finally left about 2am :scared1:.

Thank you!! She had a good time. They watched Arsenic and Old Lace, and played Clue. I am so glad she nor her friends drink. My sister gave my niece a keg party 22 years ago and it was a mess. We had to drive everybody home :sad2:. Amanda just informed me that Rock Band :sad2:. Mom just isn't cool :cool2:...................

The cake was good. Even the fondant wasn't too bad, it was really just flavorless. Now, the fountian, OMG, it was fantastic. Matt's mom caters weddings and it was her fountian and it seemed really easy to set up(Amanda and Matt set it up). We had strawberries, pretzels, shortbread, and another type cookie to dip and it went over very well :thumbsup2. The chocolate was fantastic. That would be a wonderful Christmas present.

What a fun party. I never drank growing up either. So many of the kids here do, though. I wish there were more fun things for the kids to do in town. Too bad I forgot to turn my computer on sooner...I am wishing Amanda a belated birthday.

Thank you!! Her actual birthday is Thursday the 23rd, but she had to have the party a little early. Legal drinking age was 19 when I was coming up and I never really drank until I was married the first time at 21. They have a few places here where you have to be 18 to get in and 21 to drink but that doesn't stop the underage drinking. The younger kids just get their older friends to go buy the drinks for them.

Oh yes I have changed it again. I was just dreading all the changing and moving around when we got to Disney and all the time it would take soooooooooooooo......................................I decided to see if I could get a cabin for Friday night, anddddddddddddddddd, I found one on hotels.com :cool1::woohoo:. So, I canceled the two rooms at ASMo and booked us at the Cabins through hotels.com. I will call CRS tomorrow to see if they can link the two and keep us from having to move. That should not be a problem as far as I can see. The price difference is only $150 and I think the convenience will be well worth it. I am sooooooooooo excited, well right now I am, I may be bummed tomorrow when they say they can't link the two................lol. I tried to add the day through CRS and the CM I spoke with said they couldn't do it because I was on the 4/7 and it was not being offered anymore and they would have to change everything :rolleyes1:confused3. Anyway, just one more update to the ever changing "May Disney Vacation with Dana"

Awesome...I was debating going to Poly and being on the monorail. But the pkg we booked wasn't available when I called on Friday. I think we will love AKL. I am just worried about the buses. I think its fear of the unknown for us?

I would love to be at the AKL. The Poly is great too. When we went in 2002 we had to depend on the buses and it was OK. We were at POR, long story about why we were without our car :sad2:.

You sound just like me!!! SOOOOO glad you got it changed, moving will be SUCH a pain!!! But, I'm not happy unless I"m second guessing my plans, and wanting to make changes here, and changes there!! LOL Crazy, I know!!

Yay for the cabin! When we added the extra days to our vacation, we were going to stay at a value, but then we decided we didn't want the hassle of switching resorts so when the Spring room only deal came out, we booked at the Poly for the extra nights so we didn't have to move.

WOW.................This is like pulling teeth. Very painful. OK here is how it went. I called Fort Wilderness directly and she connected me to someone at Disney wholesale, since I went through hotels.com, she was NOT in a very Disneified(I know, not a word..:lmao:)mood, and told me I needed to call Disney reservations. Welllllllllllllllll, I am still on the phone with them 25 minutes and counting.........................

:woohoo::yay::dance3: All done, it took almost an hour, but I am finally off the phone. I had the most helpful, wonderful CM in all of Disney!!!!!! Harriette Lucille was her name. She had to get on the phone with Guest Services and see if the night could be added to my reservation. They could not link the two for some reason so they had to totally redo my reservation to add the night and I guess Tracy Bell(the guest services supervisor) had to do something to add it and keep the 4/7 deal since that offer is no longer being offered. Harriette kept coming back on the line to make sure I was still there. They added the night and I acutally saved $41 by getting Disney to add the night. Since, I was given the wrong information by the CM who said they could not add the extra night, Tracy put a note on my ressie that said if I could not cancel through hotels.com then I could call Disney back and cancel the extra night with them and not have to pay the cancellation fee. I have already cancelled with hotels.com without a problem. I paid for the extra night and now we are all set again..............:woohoo:.

Harriette and Tracy are awesome :thumbsup2.

Oh and I added an extra night to our October trip........;)

It would not be a Disney vacation if I didn't change it time and time again :surfweb:.

It is a hassel. I usually don't mind tooooooooooo much, but this trip I just want everything to be in place from the start. It just takes too much time to check in and unload and unpack then get to the parks. I know you were glad they could add the nights at the Poly. I can't wait till May gets here :thumbsup2.

Are you still on the phone? How did it go?

FINALLY!!!!

My little man. I say this and at 10 the boy is taller than me and wears a size 9 in mens shoes :scared1:.

I love Target. These are my dollar buys today

WOW, Dallas must be big!! I thought Tyler was big for 10, almost 11, he's about 5'1" tall, about 3 inches shorter then me, skinny as a rail, and in a size 7 mens shoes. He's growing out of stuff left and right, yet he eats me out of house and home! Isn't it lovely?? I thought they didn't get into this eating/growing phase until the teenage years!! LOL Ah well, it's still fun, right?

Glad everything went okay on the phone with disney. Does make you feel better, huh? :) I *think* I got a plan for September, my sister reminded me what ma likes to eat, so we're working around that. I've been spending more time with Ma, to try and figure her out. We've had a rocky relationship, so I'm doing my part to try, and she's better. Just got alot of bad memories of her to bury somewhere. I can't talk to her about it either, tried that when I was about 18, didn't think I was getting the truth, so I've just been weird about the whole thing. BUT, she's getting older, and she's my ma, so I'm doing my best. I think she is too!! Bad thing is, I was trying to get my sister's opinion on things, cause I just didn't know. Tina's been helping, but it's been scarce. But, I do believe I got it sorted, I think I'll post on THAT ptr tomorrow at work. Anyways, have a good night...keep feeding that boy, and I'll keep feeding mine!!! LOL They'll be MUCH bigger then us before we know it!!!! Which is scary!

Yay for great CM's and your patience. Glad you got it all worked out. Love the new socks.

My Tyler was a skinny little thing when he was 10 too. Dallas has been big since birth (9lb 9oz). I told Dale he was going to have to get a second job when Dallas hits his growth spurt because he eats us out of house and home now.

All I have done in planning for October is add the extra night. I don't know where we will be eating yet.

I know what you mean about your mother. About 4 1/2 years ago my mom moved in with me. She was scared to live by herself anymore so she sold her house and moved in with me. A friend of mine told me I would regret moving her in with us, but I told him he didn't know what he was talking about. Well, he knew more than I did. Everything went well for a while and then she wanted to start telling us what to do. Like I was a kid again. She wanted to know where we were going, when we would be back, what we would be doing and so on. It really started getting bad. Then my oldest brother died and it got even worse. She got to the point she didn't want to get up out of her chair we were waiting on her hand and foot. She just kept getting worse and worse. Then I tore my thumb up bowling, yes bowling, and had to have surgery. I was out of work for 6 weeks. I had a cast on my arm, it was my right hand and I am right handed. She wanted me to wait on her all the time. It got so bad we just stayed in the bedroom. Soon after I went back to work it came to a head. I came home from work, after 13 1/2 hours, and she started in again. I lost it, and we had a huge fight. She moved out and now lives with my sister. She lived with us for 2 years. She have been living with my sister for about 2 1/2 now. She refuses to admit her part in the whole thing. We talk all the time, but it isn't quite the same.

If we keep feeding these boys too much they will be 7 foot tall........:lmao:

Yay. Harriette was wonderful. I think the first CM I spoke with didn't want to put forth the time and effort. Harriette really was very patient, and she thanked me for being patient. I love the socks too :thumbsup2. Target had several Disney items today in their dollar section.
