Good Morning fellow cruisers, it is that time of the week again!! We now have only

Weeks until we sail!! :banana::cool1::dance3::cool1::banana:

I am wondering this also. We live in Texas and we are already in shorts. I am planning to bring a jacket for everyone, but dd is planning on wearing sun dresses to the dinners, hoping ti won't be to chilly. She does have a light sweater I can pack as well.

I'm wearing a lot of sundresses. I wasn't uncomfortable at all on the Dream but I still plan to bring each person a hoodie plus me a basic cardigan.

Welcome to the group davemill!!

Congrats on being so close to the prepreg weight! My goal is to weigh what I did after I had my twins. I have 19 lbs to go. I don't think I'll make it in time for the cruise. Hoping to loose 10 more, so when I gain 10 on the cruise, I'll be where I am now. I'm thinking I might actually go to the gym on this cruise. Anyone else wanna join?
I'm bringing a light sweater for myself and my dd. my ds never really gets cold. I might bring a lightweight jacket though just in case. We were on a cruise last may and it was hot. I only needed a lightweight sweater for the evening... Mostly due to some sunburn

I don't know about going to the gym since that's not part of my regular routine now. I *do* plan to do some runs in the early morning. They have jogging/running on Deck 4 on the Dream, is it the same on the Magic???

Literally all I can do is obsess about the cruise. :) I bought a FE off of etsy and got my FE gifts.

I am interested in the gym too. Does anyone know if they have yoga?

On the Dream they had various scheduled work-outs and I'm pretty sure Yoga was one of them. When I get home from my folks on the weekend I'll look at my Navigators to see. Maybe go look at some current Magic Navigators to see if it's something they are doing. If they are, it's likely they will have it on our cruise.

WooHOOOO!!!! I think I'll be ready. Well, hopefully I'll be ready. I've got a lot to do still! Eeeek!

Annabel, I don't believe there will be any "special" events since this is a non-holiday sailing (maybe a special menu, or a little something for the moms on Mother's Day?), but there will be the usual events such as wine/martini/margarita/beer/etc. tastings, and the galley tour. No Pixar or Disney movie releases during our sailing, but a Marvel release shortly before (since Dis picked up Marvel)...the Avengers on 5/4. There may be a special viewing of that...we'll see what plays out.

You really think we could see The Avengers??? My husband would LOVE that!

Bummer. Ok. If Avengers is on, DH will LOVE it. Guess that means I'll have to sit through that too. popcorn:: The things we do for love ...

Does anyone know if they have yoga?

Yes, at least they did on the 7-nt Magic. The times will be listed on the Navigator.

WOOHOO!

Curious - Is anyone taking a towncar from MCO to port? We did last time and it was perfect. Just can't remember the company. Happens with age. :sad2: Anyone have a good recommendation? (Pref reliable and cheap) :thumbsup2

TIA!

I'm thinking I might actually go to the gym on this cruise. Anyone else wanna join?

Yes, I do!!! To face the Argentine-stress life I really need to do sth everyday to burn calories and liberate endorphines, my routine includes dancing... I love dancing, though I'm not so good I'm happy when dancing!:dance3:

I noticed several posts in regards to FE sizes. Is there a certain size guideline that I need to go by? Anyone know?

No. If your FE gift is too big, you can always leave it at the door. There's no standard size at all - either for the FE or the FE gifts.

Mine initially finished out at about 10" wide. I didn't even think about the width when sewing it. Then I saw it mentioned about fitting the width of the little wall they hang on and had a serious 'oh crap' moment. I wasn't able to find my old one in the moment so I looked at some Etsy & eBay listing. For the most part they were all staying between 8" & 9" in width. Then I busted out the pictures of our FE we used on our first cruise hanging by our door on the Dream and could see that the FE itself was fine but with the little ball stoppers on the rod ends it hung out a little into the doorway on 1 side and the hallway on the other side. I read in a couple of the listings from Etsy & eBay that the Dream's space was actually a little smaller than the classic ships but I really don't know yet. Anywhoo, I quickly altered ours, cut down both sides a little, and refinished it at 9" wide. I've since located our first FE and that one is actually a touch wider than mine. If it's true that the hanging space on the Dream is narrower than the classic ships, I should be good to go at 9"! :thumbsup2

Length I don't think is a big concern. I mean, you don't want to get crazy like 5' or 6' long. But if the pockets hang a little low it should be alright. I made our pocket height like 8" as opposed to 4" or maybe 5" on the old FE. I noticed a lot of times our pockets were really full and bigger items wanted to flop out a bit.

I booked the blue lagoon dolphin encounter for my dd and I. After watching it on youtube, I think it is something she & I would really like. Is anyone else doing it?

Yep, there is a track on Deck 4 on the Magic also! I'm out walking at least a mile every morning!

My opinion is there is a possibility for an Avengers screening. Disney has to push Marvel since they bought it out (to much skepticism). Avengers is a huge film for the studio, sooooooo...and I agree...the things we do for love!

We haven't had a need to use a town car in the area, but I have heard great things about Tiffany Towncar.

Yes, I do!!! To face the Argentine-stress life I really need to do sth everyday to burn calories and liberate endorphines, my routine includes dancing... I love dancing, though I'm not so good I'm happy when dancing!:dance3:

Oh, I so love dancing...but I'm terrible at it! Doesn't stop me though!

Unfortunately, we won't be doing this. If anything, I may snorkel...otherwise, just a bit of wandering around on our own.

So, have we set it as a lunch meet for our at-sea day? What time? It seems like there are several with Palo Brunch for that day...maybe drinks after lunch for those who can't make it to lunch themselves, they can still meet up? Someone mentioned meeting in a neutral location, and then splitting between Topsiders and Lumiere's. So, we will have three lunch groups (those two plus Palo) and then reconvene at Diversions?

Is anyone else planning on doing a tasting? If champagne is offered, I will be at that one...otherwise it will be the margarita tasting for me. Maybe we could get a few groups together for those...

We are doing Blue Lagoon but just the beach day.

We are doing Palo Brunch but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE the Margarita tasting!!

Thanks for the tip on Tiffany Towncar!

BTW - anyone interested in sharing a towncar? We're getting into MCO at noon on May 9 and departing on May 13 at 12:30. If anyone's interested, let me know. If we split a Suburban, for example, we could prob take another family of 3 or 4.

You mean May 14th right we will still be on the ship 13th.

How much are the tasting things? I think I'd like the margarita tasting. I'd try the champagne one if it wasn't too pricey. I've never been able to find wine or champagne that I liked other than the white sangrias at the Yachtsman/Crew's Cup. Now, if they did a beer tasting I'd be all over that every stinkin' time it's offered. They'd see me coming and say, "Again?!?!" :lmao: I loooove beer with my whole heart. :cutie: Not very lady-like, huh? :rolleyes1

Feisty, your furbaby is so cute!!!! I just love seeing everyone's families!
Congrats to all of you who are reaching your weight goals. I started a steroid for my allergies, so I went back up a bit. Doctor gave me the ok to try going without the steroid for eight weeks to see what happens with my weight, and if that indeed was the culprit. Hopefully I can start going back down again now!

As for beaches in Nassau, there are a few you can get to by cab (and even one by foot, although it is a bit of a hike). They are regular beaches, not Blue Lagoon. If anyone is interested, I will round up my info on those.

We are heading home today (booked another bounceback while here for August, but may change it to December since we may be sailing Princess in August). I am actually looking forward to getting home...so I can begin cruise packing! 7 weeks!!!!

I hear you on the weight loss by keeps jumping back and forth. :headache:

I would love for Avengers to play both me and my hubby love Marvel. In fact one of my friends it talking about opening up a comic book shop and wants me to work there when/if he opens it.

Cool on the Bounce back deal what is the current bounceback deal? Wondering if i might sneak in a longer WDW later this year :yay:

We're doing it! It's just me and my son (5) doing the encounter. My husband is coming as the observer/photographer :)

We really want to do the margarita tastings. I hate that you have to book it on the ship and we have no idea when it is  I wish we could plan that ahead of time. I've heard they can fill up and that's one thing my husband would really love to do!
