Hey has anybody got any info on this rum cake factory? I keep seeing that it is in Nassau, but I can never find out where. Does anybody know if this place is worth a visit?

I read another thread and it seems that it's a short distance from the pier. They say that it's marked on the map that the CM will give us. Supposedly the cakes are also sold on the ship. I have to get one for a friend, so I definitely will be going there!

From what I can tell, after further research, it is on Bay street somewhere. It seems that most of the shops are on Bay street anyway. Hopefully it will not be hard to find!

Well I am just about ready.. I have everything for my door.. I was able to email my files to a copy place that my mom use alot and got a GREAT deal.. For copies,Laminated and magnets is was less then 10.00.. I got my snacks for the drive as well as the lasts of my fe exchange gifts... So now I just have to finish packing as well as get a silver shaw for my dress for Palo's and I am so ready to go..

We officially started packing last night! I also started my self-tanning. With my fake tan and lots of sunscreen, I hope to get a little bit of natural tan. Right now, I definitely look like I'm from NJ.

I need to have DH sit down with me this weekend and go thru all of our travel documents. I'm the one who takes care of all the details, but I need someone to double check, so I don't get blamed if something is missing. Sometimes I'm very forgetful and it drives me crazy.

Hope everyone is having fun with the final planning and details! Just 2 weeks from tomorrow!

I think I'm almost ready. I just have to pick up a few more things (Shampoo, Body Spray, Batteries, etc.) and one more thing for my FE gifts. I haven't started packing yet, but I hope to start this weekend. We plan to get everyones hair cut next week. Well, not Andrew my DS who is 14. Trust me you will know him when you see him. Just think 80s rock band. I'm still trying to decide if I should get my nails done. I've never had them done before, but I don't know if I want to spend the $ or have more to spend once we get there.

Hope everyone is having fun and getting excited. I know my family is!

Well you kids are way ahead of me. I just booked our flights?!? Call me crazy was just debating when to get donw there. Its all sorted now and I got reasonable prices thanks to my friends at JetBlue.

This weekend it will be lots of shopping for me and the girls.

Two weeks from now I'll be in MK waiting for Wishes to start!

I had a rep come in from Grand Cayman's and brought us all some of that.. I didn't know that they had a bakery in Nassau.. It is good.. I like the run cake that doesn't have such a strong rum taste.. I like it to be there but just not so strong

I don't know.........people on the boards say that the meusli (sp?) is supposed to be incredible! They say that's what the captain eats every day and people became addicted to it. Anybody else ever tried it on the ship?

I know that a few of us are supposed to be meeting for a drink one night, but does anyone want to do a DIS meet one day on the cruise? I was just reading another thread that said that they did and thought that it sounded like it could be fun!

I think that somewhere WAY back on one of the pages in this thread, we had decided to meet on the first day, at 3 PM in the Promenade Lounge, before the Lifeboat Drill and Sailaway Party. That has been "the" time and place for past DIS Meets ... Is that still okay with everybody?
