Hi all!
I don't know if you've been following the other threads, but
DCL just came out with a new non-smoking policy.
No smoking in ANY indoor location ... This includes the clubs, which is great, because DH and I couldn't enjoy those last time because of the heavy smoke and his allergies.
The only places smoking will now be allowed are on Deck 4, 9, and 10 starboard side and on verandahs. Even the seating area on the port side of Cove Cafe will be non-smoking, but there will be a seating area set up on the starboard side.
I'm looking forward to enjoying some adult shows and music in the adult lounges.
This is great news for anyone with sensitivity to smoke and/or allergies. My mom smoked for years, just quit a few years ago, so I know how addictive it can be.
I understand, especially on longer cruises, that totally not allowing smoking at all would exclude a lot of people. I think the areas they have set aside make more sense than those in the past, especially the clubs.
Smoking indoors really is bad, since the smoke travels in the vents and just lingers in the air, even when it is a separate area (like the bars were).
So here we come, Route 66 - See you all there (look for the crazy brunette trying to sing karaoke!).
Rose
