~May 7, 2011~ 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Magic!

We are flying in on 6th too and staying at Country Inn. We never been to WDW yet....this will be a another trip, but not this time :)

MinnieMeg - Thanks for the tip. I'll add that one to the list. Sadly the "good" hotel list is much shorter than the "bad"

No parks for us. We didn't last time either, although we did have a night on either end in the value resorts. It was fun just to try restaurants we've never been to before and wander around DTD.

DH doesn't get a lot of time off work so this time we're driving down Friday and heading back immediately the following Saturday. I'm not looking forward to the long car ride....

Do we have any peanut allergies or any other kind of allergies in FE group? I would like to know if I decide to buy any goodies for FE gifts...I don't want to get anyone in trouble.....

nswift and GoDaddyGo - I have added you to the FE list

At what point does the FE group get too large for people to exchange with the whole group? If the group reaches a certain size do you want to split into two groups? I want to know what you think long before we have to make this decision.

The updated list for the FE exchange is:

MinnieMeg (2) 2 adults

Whisky in a Vase (7) 2 adults, DD 7, DS 3, + 3 adults

Dianatlol (3) 2 adults, DD 10

MickeyManiacMom (5) 3 adults, DD 9, DS 7

Bibbidibobbidiboo07 (4) 2 adults, DD 4, DS 8mos.

Krispykreme97 (4) 2 adults, DD 9, DD 2

Lexa (4) 2 adults, DS 7, DD 6

FLUFFYCAT (4) 2 adults, DS 11, DS 7

Mlmmom (4) 2 adults, DS 3, DS 1

Jinia (3) 2 adults, DS 9

Nswift (4) 4 adults

GoDaddyGo (3) 2 adults, DD 5

Canadian Girl 77 (3) 2 adults, DD 6

Is anyone else interested? We have decided on a cutoff date of April 23, 2011.

Will everyone who is paticipating in FE please private message or email me with the following:
DISname
Cabin # (If you have more than 1 cabin please list seperately)
First names of everyone and ages and gender of children
I need this info to set up a delivery list. Some people may wish to personalize items with names, which is why I asked for everyone's name.

Please remember there is a meet planned for all DISers on May 7th at 3:00 pm in the Promenade Lounge on deck 3 aft.

Meg

Welcome aboard Canadian Girl 77! We have a lot of first time Disney cruisers, I'm one of them!

MinnieMeg, I'm still good with a group we have now. But if we get more people interested, then I would split. Anyway I'll go with majority, let's see what others think.....

Still asking FE group about peanut allergies or any other kind of allergies?????

Still happy with group, but will go with the flow if others want to split...

No allergies from our group... We love all food....

All our group are very excited here from North West England.

I have food allergies, but the only one that may be a problem with snacks or treats is mango in anything that is labeled "tropical". Even if I can't eat it, my DH would enjoy it.
Meg

I am fine with the current group or even up to 20 (groups, not individuals) or so, but I will go with the majority rule.

No allergies from our family. We have a couple of picky eaters, but what one doesn't like the other does so it works out just fine. :thumbsup2

Myself, DH, and DS (18 months) will be on this cruise too. Its our 6th cruise (DS 2nd cruise) and I just now found these Meets threads. I skimmed through the first 23 pages of posts so I feel like I know everyone now :)

I don't think we will be participating in FE (I just don't have the time to get organized for it) but we will probably come to the meet on May 7th!

Also, anyone else with infants on the cruise? I think I scanned a few mentions of the nursery! We took DS on his first cruise last May, at 6 months old, and had a great time. If you need any tips on cruising with a baby let me know. I can share some of our lessons learned!

It's been DCL week here in my office. I have one coworker leaving on the Dream this Sunday and another who just booked the Western cruise that sails right before ours. We've been talking cruises all week. Makes it pretty tough to be patient for May!

Welcome! :yay:

I kinda feel the same way about the FE exchange. I just can't figure out anything to bring that will be cute/affordable/not a pain to bring. We are trying to pack extremely light and bring as few bags as possible. Even though it sounds like a lot of fun to particpate, we're going to pass this trip since we're still new to cruising and maybe try it on future cruises. :goodvibes

I'm so jealous! NO ONE here cares that I am going away. LOL. (Everyone should want to talk about MY trip as much as I do ) So, I have no one to vacation plan with or talk to about it. :guilty: When I talk about the cruise most people give me this reaction ->

It sucks. Because I am SO excited and want to plan. So, I just keep checking the Dis and looking for any info I can get ;)

Just found out Thor comes out on May 6th! I so hope it shows while were on the cruise! Posted the question on the main Discruise board...

The rest of the office is sick of hearing about it but at least the three of us are enjoying ourselves! It's pretty funny.

If Thor releases on May 6 then I'm sure it will be playing onboard. I think I read something about DCL releasing Disney films onboard the same day they're released on land. I'm hoping Tron is stilly playing. DH never got a chance to see it and really wants to see it in 3D.

Hello all,
Haven't been on for a little while so thought I had better confirm that we have no food allergies in our family.
We are fine with the current group size, but would be happy to go with everyone else, if it gets much bigger then maybe split it but I'm happy for now. Struggling to knwo what 11+ boys would like to get in their FE. I seem to have things for younger boys and things for girls but a jost not sure what older boys might like, any siggestions....
