~May 7, 2011~ 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Magic!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)

Hi Mandy and Paul.:welcome: Love your photo from the cruise. What days do you have your ressies for Palo? We have dinner, brunch and high tea. Do you live near Manchester? My good friends live there.:goodvibes

We booked Brunch for the Sunday morning at 11.30am and Dinner for the last evening at 6pm, I really hope we get High Tea once onboard as I love that too

We live just under 2 hours away from Manchester, and fly from there to Orlando. Is your friend a DISer ?

Hi Mandy and Paul and welcome! I'm really looking forward to see you all at our meeting on May 7th at 3:00 pm in the Promenade Lounge on deck 3 aft.

It's wonderful you all got what you were looking for. I wonder if this cruise is going to have many empty rooms?

Mandy, If you are unable to book a tea onboard, mention it to your brunch server on Sunday. They may be able to fit you in. :thumbsup2

Last night when booking I noticed all days at sea were mostly taken for Palo dinner, but as I was reading this board last month or so, I expected a lot more would be taken. All the excursions we wanted were open....we booked Tortola Dolphins (St. Thomas), Sea World Explorer (St. Maarten) and Stingrays at CC.

And we were moved from second dining time to main..YAY....we really hoped that will happen........we decided we will not do Palo this time....I'm sure we will come back cruising with DCL in the future :)

I have another question....after we get off the ship on Saturday and get our car from rental place and till our flight time which is at 3:00PM from MCO, where to go, what to see? I heard a lot of people are going to the mall...any other ideas?

Congrats to all who were successful last night. It seems that we will be bumping into each other at Palo and on excursions.

Lexa - If you want more of a Disney fix, Downtown Disney is a possibility while waiting for your flight.

I haven't been on in forever and this cruise has grown! Looks like we won't be the only first time cruisers! I am super excited:goodvibes! I am signing up for the FE - wanted to make sure I understood. Individual item(or more) for each kid and adult or couple? If this isn't correct then let me know!!!

hi jinia....seems there will be a lot of first time cruisers. i see you are from Missouri too :)

aaaghhh! I went online this morning to book stuff and i guess I didnt push save b/c I went back online this afteroon and lost everything! so now I am rethinking my reservations....

quick question, i noticed when I was booking excursions, they asked if i wanted to reserve babysitting, frankly i never thought of booking an excursion and leaving the kids on the boat in babyitting but when i spoke to the cruise line agent today she said people do it

what do you think? if i would it would be for a short 2 hour excursion ?

What ever you would like to do is fine.:goodvibes
Some folks give one item per cabin, others like to give individual gifts to each person. Do what ever you feel comfortable doing. :thumbsup2
You can also pick just one day or can do several days.

Heck I was on a cruise and one family did every day.

I'm not doing the FE this time, but in the past have given one gift per cabin.

I did the same thing last night, didn't scroll all the way down and clicked save. But I did check it before I went to bed so i was able to catch my mistake. I hope you still got it what you wanted.

And about babysitting.....my DH wanted to take excursion and leave kids on the ship and I said no...thats just my opinion, but I'm known as overprotective mom.

My TA said that there are 2 things that I need to print and take with me. I printed the cruise contract that I need to sign the bottom of, but she also said to print the credit card authorization form. Does anyone know where to find that??

MinnieMiss-Thanks for the info!
MinnieMeg-Thanks for adding us! Super excited!
Lexa-Hi! Well I am from Texas originally but in MO for a long time-near St.Louis!

Now I have to figure out what to do for the FE!

Well, I'm originally from overseas, moved to USA 8 years ago. Ended up in Lebanon. We are driving to St. Louis on 05.06. and fly to FL from there.

I just went through everything and I can't find it either.

What time did you all choose for Port Arrival Time?

:confused3 Oh well. :confused3

Thanks for looking though! :flower3:

We did 11:00-11:30. It was the first available time. I thought about waiting until later in the day so we wouldn't have to rush in the morning, but we're early birds anyway so either way it would feel like we were just waiting around all day to board.

At least this way when we board we can go straight over to grab some lunch and *hopefully* it won't be as crowded.... :yay:
