Welcome, Timber285. Timber is our Golden Retriever's name!
About Mousesurplus....DisneyPhD...I usually don't bid on eBay stuff from Mousesurplus because of the high shipping and handling fees..I think we paid nearly $25 s/h for the Wilderness Lodge lamp, but to get the whole deal for under $50 was still a good bargain, so we will just grumble silently to ourselves about the s/h. At least it is a large, gawky package (and something I would not want to try and pick up in Orlando and try to get back in the luggage). I wanted a pair of the Animal Kingdom Lodge curtains they had for auction, but refused to pay nearly $20 in shipping for them, which could easily fit folded in a priority mail container for well under $10. Their shipping prices for pins are pretty obscene, too, so we generally make a point of stopping there ourselves every trip down and grabbing up anything that Southwest will take as regular luggage! Hopefully, their new warehouse will be open after the cruise, and if the AK curtains are there, I'll get them.
About DVC...we just bought in for the first time after our Magic cruise in January points at Saratoga Springs, and then immediately got a small add on at Animal Kingdom. We are looking forward to our first trip "home" with an Old Key West stay after our Wonder cruise!
About being ready to sail...we've been totally consumed this last week. We just bought a used (but very new-looking) Ram pickup truck that will be able to pull our horses and a trailer when we find one. Lots of scurrying around there, including a trip this morning to the DVM which was full of depressed, resigned looking customers who rightly worried they'd be there for hours dealing with surly employees only to find out they were missing some critical piece of information and had to go home empty handed. We lucked out, as all the crabby ones were shouting at the people getting driver's license renewals, and we were helped with our title and plates by a very nice lady.
DH's horse got some kind of festering crud on his legs from all the Chicago mud and we have to go to the barn where we board them every night (45 minutes each way) to basically wash his legs (all four!) and smear what amounts to be diaper rash ointment all over them. Meanwhile, DH's new pirate shirt I've made him is still short the lacing at the collar, my DS's isn't even close to finished, DD wails she can't find any of her shorts from last year, and I have to be completely out of pocket the entire week before our Florida departure date (May 4), including the entire weekend before, due to a Really Badly Timed work assignment. That leaves four hours this Sunday afternoon to do absolutely everything.
Hope the rest of you are faring better. I can tell from reading everyone's posts that this vacation is a much needed pause in the madness for more than a few!
