May 5th 2007 Western Magic CINCO DIS MAYO!

I just recently discovered the DIS boards and have been reading your postings. I actually am confused though since it looks like everyone thinks this cruise was just added??? My DH and I booked this cruise back in I think at least March of 2006...

Anyway, I'm cruising with my DH, and two little boys Jack (6) and Christopher (4).

Well as of my very first post it was just added, but that was back in March 2006! Welcome and glad you found the DIS! I'm really surprised you didn't find it sooner. It seems like I've been cruising all year since I'm on here all the time!

If you can all......find some of those .99 cent poncho's at Walmart. Looks like we might have some rain on our cruise. Hopefully the report won't be accurate, but wonderground.com is predicting 20% chance on our sail away party! I'm going to keep an eye on the weather all this week!

already got some packed for us;) ..:rotfl: i pack for everything..:rotfl2: but dh says well we will be on a boat that floats so who cares about the ponchos as long as we are heading out..:rotfl2: think hes anxoius to go?? :confused3

I just got back from Target! Got a nice, full first aid kit (we don't have any kids, and probably won't need it so look for us if you have an accident!! :) ), travel size Downy Wrinkler Releaser, a day beach bag, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, a plastic expanding file folder (for all our documents), plenty of sun block, and a bunch of other misc travel stuff!

I was also able to find a dress today! :yay: Just a sleeveless black and white polka dots...it's that cool travel material that doesn't wrinkle!

Still no birth certificates yet though....I'm slacking on that big time.... :guilty:

I went and got Mystic Tanned today!!! But my hands ARE orange...hope that fades before next Saturday! he he I am going again on Tuesday and Thursday, but I'm going to be sure and use a TON of the barrier cream on my hands this time! :thumbsup2

I'm SO excited about being in Key West a week from today...it's my old stomping ground, so it'll be so special to take my DH there and us spend our 2nd Anniversary there together!

K, I better get in there and look for those birth certificates!

Guys, I just want to say that it's very nice to have this group. Although I don't have kids or door-signs, or special shirts (;) ), I still enjoy reading ya'll's posts and being a part of this group! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Hi Kim and Hi All... WE are booked on this cruise as well.. My name is Mike and my wife is Sally along with our 2 grandsons Derek(11) and Austin(8). I have been reading many of your positings and I appreciate all the information. Kime, we are from Michigan as well , from White Lake!! We are neighbors.. We will try to stop in and say hello at the get together. See you Saturday,,,, This is the boy's first cruise and our first with Disney...Mike

Hi neighbor. I added you to the roll call on page one. If you can, please try to stop by our little meet and greet before the muster drill. Its a chance for the kids to get to know each other and hopefully make friends. Work has been busy so I haven't been posting as much but I'll update the chart right away.

Iamdaisy. I got you added too.

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: to both of you and your families.

Here's the latest (at least throughpage 104).

What is everyone's schedule on when they are leaving? We will leave early Friday morning, head over to the Jacksonville airport to pick up my step son, then off to Palatka to meet the rest of the family. We will stay the night Fri, then drive over Sat. morning.
Get well Regan!:wizard:

We fly out Friday afternoon and should have luggage, rental car and get to Radisson no later than 7 pm on firday.

Hi,

I live about 20 minutes south of the port in Melbourne and I saw on the news tonight that it's suppose to be partly cloudy and 86 on Saturaday. But there is always a chance of rain in Florida! Though not lately but who knows. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain!

Yes, I saw that....I also saw that on our port days, there are chances of rain.....so now I am not going to look at any weather sights....whatever happens, happens. I was on a cruise before during a hurricane, and we just diverted and went a different direction....never saw an ounce of rain!!! Hopefully that happens this time. I just hope it doesn't rain on castaway cay day!!!!!!!

OK, I am pretty much on my way to being packed and I just found the packing list that is on this forum. It is a great list and includes tips for all sorts of other stuff.

If you haven't checked it out you must before you zip up those bags!!!!

It is in the Cruise line forum in the main forum section

Well folks we are 4 wake ups away from leaving! I think the closer it gets, the more freaked out I get! I have got to quit reading this board about weather issues, etc. I try to read a good trip report daily, but they really don't post them fast enough!:lmao:

Packing, well everything is thrown into a pile in the exercise room, so I can't get through the room, therefore can't exercise...:rotfl: I still need to get to the store and get a few last minute items. I went yesterday to try and find a different dress for formal night, that was a mistake! Shopping on the weekend is just plain scary! :scared1: Rude shoppers and all. I was standing by a rack of clothes looking at something and this lady rams into the back of my legs with her kids stroller and then had the nerve to look at me like I should move!! I was livid, and if you all get to know me at all, you will find I don't mince words. She got a "family oriented" tongue lashing (since her kids were right there), but believe me, I wanted to throw a few "colorful metaphors" her way! the funny part is, she "acted" like she didn't speak English very well, so I switched to Spanish--that straightened her up!:lmao:

Anyway, I am sure our packing will not be done until Thursday night. I still can't get a hold of my petsitter and that is freaking me out!

ok after all the utter chaos this morning we got jons testing schedule going..darn shcool sent the main info to the students and well jon didn't bother to get it to us so he missed the morning session this morning and had to go this afternoon..:confused3 but they wont let him take the thursday one earlier so it loks like we won't get to leave till close to 1pm thursday which will make for a long ride as we plan on driving halfway before we stop and thats a 8 hr drive in itself. and then friday morning we will get up bright and early and get on the rode right away so we can be at the hotel in port canaveral at a fairly decent hr so the kids will have time to swim and play before bedtime. i am keeping my fingers crossed that with some luck ( if there is any out there anymore) that maybe jon will finish up earlier then the alloted time so they can get back here sooner.

i checked weather.com and it said key west ahs a 30% chance of rain when we are there...was afraid to look at any others..we are suposed to get rain tonite thru thursday here so time will tell..hope we have some luck on our sides and its nice for the duration of the cruise. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes ;) :rolleyes1

well i am off to finish up laundry so i can finish packing..with the chaos this morning dh was going to do laundry this afternoon but didnt get to it since he ended up having to take the boy back to the testing site this afternoon so now we are a half day behind but no worries. gives me something to occupy my time with instead of stressing over bills and thinking about the trip..:rotfl2:

I'm bummed...I hate the rain. I love sunny days and heat! I sure hope all those rainy days they are forecasting are just blow overs and everything clears up nicely for us.

I packed my stuff today. I just need DS to pick out a few more T-shirts to pack and then weigh the bags to see if any are over 50lbs. I found one of the cats in the corner of the luggage all ready to go! What a fruit cake!

I actually got our T-shirts done today! Just plain white with iron on transfers. They came out ok.

Ok...back to the laundry!

laundry done, kitchen done, vaccum done, dinner done...now i am tired :lmao: we just got a really good rain here.. when i checked wunderground.com i came up with like only like a 10% chance of rain of both days for sail away and key west..i do see where we might hit some of the rain storms though on our drive down to florida..and our local news just said we will get rain over nite tonite and tomorrow but then clear up tusday afternoon so looks like it wont have to worry about the rain to head out in. off to watch some tv and relax for the rest of tonite will do the packing tomorrow...:rotfl2:

Well everyone has been busy, I finally went through my summers and have about 3 loads to do, Tomorrow katelynn is coming to help me start packing(ugh) I found my disboard t-shirt and plan to wear once on board the ship you wont miss me , Lime green with the Dis across the back. I cant wait to meet all of you. I know kaylin is 9 and there is another little girl around 8 or 9 , Is that Amber. Katie is 8. I will check the roll call after i post. 3 more work days, Yay!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :rotfl2: :yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2: Nope it was Coutney I was thinking of i do believe, She is the dark haired little one with the little brother that sent the valentine right?

My Courtney is 9.

Well. Jason pulled his back out this afternoon at work so he will be the one walking like a constipated old man :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What is it with these guys of ours. Are they trying to slow us down so we don't shop as much:confused3 :rotfl:

Mine knows better. Here honey...heres the remote and the phone. Call room service, I'll be right back........:lmao:

Anyway, we leave as soon as he gets his crippled self out of the shower. So this will by my last post. I've opted not to take the laptop as my doctor actually ordered me today to RELAX and said he'd write a prescription if I needed one. It seems as though tax season really reaped havoc on my anxiety issues. Oh well, better now. Nothing but sweet dreams of Mickey from here on out :cloud9:

Everyone, no matter how you're getting to the port please be safe. I'm not used to driving dh's new truck as it is a crew cab with a full size bed (8 foot) quarter ton blah blah blah. lol So I am not going to be driving 90 mph down I 75. Ain't doing it. If I put a scratch on his new baby I won't live to see the boat and he's taking a muscle relaxer before we leave so he will never know the difference. He sees it as a challenge to beat our last time. Everytime we even take a trip to TN where we honeymooned he reminds me of how fast we made it there that time. Yes we did, but we were HIGHLY MOTIVATED :lmao: :scared1:

See you all soon! Safe travels!

Karen
