umm have no clue we didnt tell him we signed him up for it.. maybe i'll just take him off and then if he says he wants to do them we can sign him up on board. i'm sure he would do it all for the experiance just not liking the idea its at like 8am and we would have to go off board with him to get him off and then come back on as amber is not a morning person.

The teens leave the ship with the youth counselors, you do not have to go off with him. There will be a form for you to sign that says you agree with that. Yeah, that 8am thing is a kicker for Ryan too! Can't see him getting up that early when he never comes in before 2am!

I just remembered one more thing; last time Ryan didn't even need us to get back on the ship. Just make sure Jonathon has his KTTW card. Ryan came on at least an hour after we did and there was no issue. Definately not if he is with the teen group. I asked as we were boarding if Ryan had checked back in and the CM at the security scanner looked it up and told me "no".

Hee Hee....starting packing today! Got one carry-on almost ready, and one piece of luggage full. (I really wanted to see how much it would weigh full) Trying to cross pack our stuff so if one luggage gets lost we don't have one of us without stuff. DS was not too happy that I took some of his stuff and starting packing. (only 3ea of his undies, socks, T-shirts) I know he needs the rest up until the last week.

On the other hand DH is almost all packed.He can't believe I am packing a month early. He wears uniforms all week, so doesn't need any regular clothes right now. We packed most of his stuff. I will be last. I haven't lost that 10lbs yet...might have to just shop for new stuff! I feel so much better that at least that much is done.

packing okay I usually get ready early but I guess I am being a bit lazy and havn't started to packing. I thnk I need to get DH something to wear on formal night. I don't think his suit still fits him. The children got church clothes from easter so they should be fine.

I finally got my childrens snorkle gear so they don't have to use a rented one. My DS figured it and how to use it as DD still need to work on swimming first. I am still hoping my children passports will arrive here soon.. I know there is 4 weeks but I would like to finish my online check in for the DCL. Common hurry up goverment.. LOL

Packing. Well it is about the time that I put the suitcases out in the exercise room. I have to bring them out weeks ahead of time so my dogs get used to it and don't panic everytime I leave the house! Last time I had to have dh pack them in the truck on the morning we left while I played with the dogs outside. Then we just leave and pretty soon my petsitter shows up and the transition is seamless...they barely miss us! Now, me, I miss them but usually not until about Thursday!

Does anyone else have pets to deal with when going on vacation? What do you do with them? Am I the only sap that takes their picture with me?

As far as packing goes, it takes me literally about 1/2 hour to roll things, pack things and seperate into the various bags. (ppiglett, I do the same thing in case a bag is lost). I am used to packing quickly and efficiently for the motorhome trips we take...although that is usually not in a suitcase. LOL

I knew this was coming, but it is still a shock....the school notified us today that Ryan has completed his high school credits! He is done done done! My baby is a high school graduate! Of course the ceremony isn't until June, but he no longer has to do school! Well, he is doing CC classes, but no more high school! Weird feeling.

Does anyone else have pets to deal with when going on vacation? What do you do with them? Am I the only sap that takes their picture with me?

Yes...My cats all sat on the bed watching me pack, climbed thru the luggage, and got into stuff! My sister will be watching them while we are gone. We will sure miss them. I was going to print out pictures of them to take with us, but figure I will miss them more if I see their pictures everday. Out of site, out of mind! We have never been on vacation for 2 weeks at a time! I know it will be good to get home afterwards.

Lisa..told dh what you said but he said we are going to pull him anyways as we don't want to get up that early to make sure his butt is up that early.. and we decided if he decides on the trip he would like to do it then we will think about it then..i did buy him a snorkel set so he may be content to just go snorkel and hang out with the other teens.

as for the packing end..i did some last nite and i didn't even get around to it tonite as our dryer went out and we had to go buy a dryer tonite as i had 3 loads ready to be dried took us forever to find one too as we need a gas dryer and of course in our town out of 5 places we only found 1 store finally that had them in stock

tomorrow amber has swim lessons so i am not sure if i will get to pack more then or not. i need to call a new dr for me as my current dr i can't seem to get ahold of for another appt about my sinuses yes i STILLL have them ..was up till 2am last nite coughing my head and lungs out

hmm pets.. yep we got em we got 2 cats and my best friend watches them for us. they come down and sit with them for a couple hrs every day and play with them and such. last time we left our one cat growled at her so not sure what will happen this time. neither cat has never done that before. but they sure are lovey dovey when we return home.

I finally got our room # since we were on a gty 11 and we got a 11. Oh well. We're in 5513 which is on the same floor as the kids stuff and the theatre. The room reports were that it was quiet and listed a few other problems that were from 2005 that I'm sure got fixed in drydock. (I hope)

So who's gonna be close to us?

I swore last week that I would have the packing mostly done before starting work BUT 3 of the suitcases are sitting empty in the living room floor and we keep walking over and around them. So NO they aren't packed. I do have one box to ship packed. I just have to type the packing list. The iron-ons still have not been ironed on. And I need to organize my travel bible (which is not a bible at all but my folder of ressie confirmations, important info, etc). So much to do, so little time!

Tracy....My dryer also went out last week on Wednesday. I had washed 2 loads before I noticed it wasn't drying! So we went to Sears that night and bought a new washer (which was on it's way out too) and dryer, but they won't be delivered til Friday. So my packing is on hold right now. I've been washing loads and then taking them to the laundramat to dry. What a pain!

My sinus's are doing a little better. The weather was nicer today so got other things done.

Kim....I too have not ironed on my T-shirts yet. I was going to attempt them, then the dryer broke and being that I haven't taken the T-shirts out of the bag I brought them home from the store in, they are waiting for the new dryer to come on Friday. In the meantime...DS's might not fit by May. He has not been eating right staying at his GF's all the time and eating out and has gained some weight!

Ryan says thank you for the congrats! He has been floating on a cloud since yesterday. I have been too busy getting his senior pictures ready and announcements handled. We finally got his cap and gown and all that lovely stuff. The next two months are going to be a blur..

Tracy, I hope your sinuses get better soon! Try vick's vaporub in a hot shower to steam open the passages??? And get a new doctor...I can't believe that your doctor can't help you better, but then most doctors are hacks...can you tell I am not a fan of doctors? Apologies to anyone here that may be one.

I have not gotten to my tshirts either, I keep thinking I will and another iron gets put on the fire-so to speak. A friend of mine just commissioned me to make a baby shower cake for her neice...now I have to be creative!

Tracy, I forgot...since Jonathon will not be doing the teen excursion, let him know that Ryan will be hanging on the teen beach and they can hang out together if they want.?? The last time Ryan had to hang out with a counselor for about two hours until all the teens got up and got there...I think this time he will know he can sleep in a little.

Finally got into the dr today and i let her know i am not very happy right now with how they are handling this. she changed her attitude with me right then and there and started listening to me. put me on a very strong antibiotic and decongestant and said if i am not better by the end of next week to come back in and she will give me something else so we can get this nipped before i leave for my cruise.

pigglet ...i didn't want to go to the laundrymat to dry clothes so we had to find one in stock i do want the matching washer now i am caught up on laundry right now but haven't had much time to pack anymore yet. guess thats why i start early

Lucky you Tracy! Sears called me today and said because of a MFG defect, I wouldn't get mine til May 9th! I said..."I don't think so!" So went back to Sears and got upgraded and a discount and 0% interest for a year and it was $40 cheaper than I paid last week! So...suppose to be here Friday still. Then I can get to those T-shirts!
