Our flight connects in Frankfurt and it looks like things are going out now, but I know that area has been iffy, so that's what concerns me. The girl flight agent I spoke to at DCL said there were a lot of other cruisers booked on this flight (but I'm not sure if she knew what she was talking about), so hopefully things will keep clearing up.

My hope is that it clears soon so that the cruisers on 4/24 can get out too

They are saying that flights out of the UK will not be back to normal for some time as there is such a back log and also so many people stranded abroad. It is looking very good for you now though. As for the 4/24 people who have flown in to London, hopefully they will have been able to get a ferry, coach or train over to either France or Spain and then have been able to travel on to Barcelona

I actually welled up watching planes flying into Heathrow tonight!!!

Now I'm looking forward to our cruise again!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hopefully, by the time we travel the backlog of passengers will have already returned home.

im soooo excited woke up this morning and guess what i saw out my balcony window the diney magic docked in Gibraltar and the first thing i saw was the bright red funnel with the mickey logo,its been the easiest morning to wake my daughter up i just said look abby the cruise is outside your window and she jumped out of bed like a bullet, the only downside was explaining to Abby who is 5 that she couldnt get on it now lolol

Wow how exciting. I wish we could see it out of our window! Maybe I could make a big poster and stick it to the window Bet Abby was soooo excited when she saw it.

It's looking like my husband may finally make it home by tomorrow, but he has a lot of work to catch up on now before his leave starts. They were in Rota, Spain yesterday and I sent him a text asking how close to the bay they were because the Magic is in Cadiz, right across the water. He said he couldn't leave the room, but someone from his crew was about to go on a jog, so he asked him if he would keep an eye out. When he came back he said, there was definitely a ship in port and he couldn't make out where it was from, but it had 2 big red stacks

Only 2 weeks away now!

Whoo-hoo! Things are defnitely looking up, weather-wise. I'm so glad. I really hope the 4/24 people make it. Maybe they will get bigger planes for some routes and open some seats.

We are pretty much packed. I have my money, left copies of my passport at home, notified credit cards...all that travel stuff you need to do. Now that I'm not so stressed about the flight, I'm much more excited. I actually woke up about 5:30 this morning thinking non-stressful thoughts about the trip, which is a definite change for the better!

Looking forward to seeing you all onboard!

I have packed but realized I have to unpack and repack. I completely forget what I put in my suitcase!

Also, did anyone end up trying the babies travel lite? I started signing up for it but ran into issues with the barcelona port info. And then started worrying about what if they have issues delivering the diapers - what options I would be stuck with.

i cant wait to go, my hubby took my daughter to the port in Gibraltar today and since he works for the port authority managed to get onboard the ship my daughter was estatic see loved it and the crew were great they even invited her to pizza she says its the best day ever let see what she says when we get to barcelona!!!! as i sit here writting i am looking out my balcone window and can see the magic leaving Gibraltar sounding her horn wish i could post pics to show u, Well see you all soon!!!

Ive tried finding magnets here in Gibraltar buts its turning virtually impossible everbody is saying we can order them from uk but it will take a couple of weeks ive left it to late if anybody can be so kind as to print me some minnie mouse ears i would be very very gratefull

Bought the "paper" to print my magnets on today, but now I need new printer ink. My color has been out for awhile. gibmum- I have never done this before, so let me make sure mine turn out before promising to print some for you, but if they do, I will.

I am bringing 1 pack of diapers for DD, but if we run out i'll just find the nearest supermarket in a port and get new ones

I will also bring a pack of diapers and wipes and find more if we need them. I am going to try to make our magnets this weekend, but I'm not going overboard with it. Living in the Middle East has made buying things for this trip a nightmare, but we will do what we can. I love that we have our own site. Today was the first time I really looked at out Facebook site and was surprised to see 27 members, but I don't know if those are people looking or actually going. I can't wait to meet you all!!!

I'm bringing some nighttime diapers with me and some wipes. I think they sell some basic kinds on the ship, and I'm sure you could pop in to a local supermarket and find something. I'm just anal about the kind of nighttime diapers, since I don't think those are all created equal! I haven't tried Babies travel lite, since we just don't need most of that stuff anymore, but I've heard good things about them.

Wow...2 more nights in my own bed and then we'll be taking off for Paris! I'm really getting excited now that the flight crisis seems to have passed (knock on wood!). Looks like a lot of the 4/24 people were able to make it. I can't imagine what a stressful week it has been for them.

European friends...how is the allergy situation over there? Our pollen down here in Florida is TERRIBLE right now. My "white" SUV is yellow. I'm hoping the climate is different enough that we can have some relief. I'd actually welcome some damper, colder weather just to get out of this pollen.
