Here is a good reason to rebook onboard.

Due to continually rising fuel prices, Disney Cruise Line® is implementing a fuel surcharge.

The surcharge* is $8 per person, per day for the first two Guests in a stateroom and $3 per day for all other Guests. It is effective for new bookings only made on or after May 28, 2008. Additionally, the surcharge will be capped at $112 each for the first and second Guests in a stateroom and $42 each for all other Guests in the stateroom.

By the time I finished fighting with the reservation system to allow me to book Palo for the 6 of us all I could get was Wednesday at 6:30 for dinner and Thursday at 10:30 for brunch. I am going to try to switch some things around on board.

We are also doing Chankanaab, and our swim is at noon.

We have Palo dinner at 8:00 on Sunday and brunch at 11:00 on Monday. We will be spending the day at Chankanaab but not doing the Dolphin Encounter.

Just got back from the mall where DS got a haircut, and of course we had to stop in at Disney where they have clearance tees for 4.99, so I got DH a cool Donald shirt and me a cute Mickey and Minnie!

Hi Heather!

We are doing Palo dinner on the very last night. Although, I really only want to do brunch and high tea. We couldn't get reservations online but I am waiting and crossing my fingers for onboard ones. In that case, we'll cancel Palo.

We are going to Chankanaab as well at 1 pm. Ours is called the Dolphin Adventure. Is anyone else doing this?

I read that if you have 4 or more people booked, you can get your taxi reimbursed by Dolphin Discovery. I wonder if this applies if you share cabs or just if you book together?

We are also going to Chankanaab. But not doing the Dolphin swim, just plan to snorkel, explore and sunbathe.

The only Palo I could get is 8pm on our last night. Were not too sure about that orginally, but now think we may stick with it. Might be a nice way to round off the whole cruise. If we really get brilliant servers that we connect well with, we may consider cancelling...but there is a recurring theme on the boards that servers are very variable at moment, so I will keep an open mind!

I only have 2 days left to work.woo hoo!!
Hair cut and roots colour on Thursday mornibng, finish the rest of the packing Thursday afternoon..and thats me done! We will be up at about 4am Friday am(our time) to drive up to airport.

Does anyone know how I can post a Microsoft Publisher file? Was going to show my door sign, but couldn't work it out as its not a photo. I did them in Publisher not Photoshop

Many of us are returning cruisers and had the opportunity to book at 90 days out. Even so, by the time I got through most of the desired times were already gone.

We are doing the same dolphin adventure at the same time! I have a family of four but only two of us are doing the dolphin adventure at 1pm. I would love to find out if they would reimburse us for our taxi... I was planning on going earlier and enjoying the day how about you??

We are going as early as possible!!!!!!!! I'm going to have to go home and read the last part of the confirmation......... I kinda skimmed it before. It mentioned something about 4 people getting reimbursed.

We have brunch on Sunday as well. I was online booking the minute I could (90 days out). We have done brunch on Sunday the last two years. It is a great start to the cruise.

Yup, the 90 day out thing...even with that though, I didn't know they had changed it so that it was midnight EST and was still 3 hours behind so what I really wanted wasn't there...but overall I'm happy with our selections.

And Linda...if we actually LAST through all of brunch, it is a miracle. I'm HOPING that the kids truly do love the Oceaneer's Club more this year and don't page us!!!

I think I'm just about done with my packing. Of course, DH hasn't started his, but at least I know he will have a tuxedo and a pirate costume, because I have packed those.

What is everyone doing in KeyWest?? We do not have any plans except to just walk around. Later on in afternoon we might take the kids to camp and go get a few drinks


I got so much done today:

A fellow Disner mailed me a gourgous fish extender and I decorated it today. It looks really nice.
FE bags done! (they came out so cute, my daughter made them.)
I bought a folding laundrey bag and a over the door shoe holder.
Got my door signs laminated BUT the magnetic tape would not stick so I have to get crazy glue.
Purchased snorkle gear for my husband and I (Kids had it already) so we can snorkle at all of our stops except KW.

Thursday I am getting a pedicure and spray tan!

We talk so much about Palos that my dd is jealous. I told her I would try to bring her a goody bag She wants to try the chocolate souffle...yumyum. and the goat cheese pizza.

Got my pedicure done this evening and my eyebrows waxed. Never get manicures, but am going to get one on the ship...what the heck!

So, I might (if I'm not too exhausted) sign on Thursday night after I get home from my business trip, but if not...I look forward to meeting all of you on Saturday. WHOO HOO!!!
