May 3rd-10th****Dis Maytees-May Magic send off

Dawn,

Brunch sounds great! Here's hoping!!! :thumbsup2

Linda,

You poor thing! Just remember, what can't kill us, can only make us stronger!!! :rotfl: I don't personally know how that applies to paperwork, but hey....

*grin* *wave*

Brandie,

Thanks for the good wishes. I know that I am getting REALLY REALLY strong!! LOL

Seriously, I do enjoy my job and especially the kids. There are so many rewards, in the little things that happen every day. I simply have to remember to be positive and focus on the good stuff and not let the other stuff get to me too much. I know that at the end of the summer I will have had a good review and a positive summer for the kids. I am going to continue to focus on that and hopefully it will ease some of the tension.

I haven't read all the posts yet, but I'm excited to say my family will also be on this cruise! It will be our first cruise, and I just booked it two days ago. We're on deck 6, category 8 stateroom. Sailing will be me, Maura, DH Lorne, and two DDS, 7 and 5 at time of sailing. Any other similar age girls in this group yet?

We've been to WDW in May/06 and May/07, and we (ok, I) have become addicts, so a Disney cruise seemed like the next step. Not sure how I'm going to make it through the next 11 months, though...Since I've been reading the trip reports, the reviews on cruise critics and watching DCL videos on youtube daily for the past month. I must be stopped!! My DH thinks I'm a lunatic. :sad2:

Any other first time cruisers on board?

HI Maura!

Welcome to the club.

I'm Jennifer and my dd will be 7 when we cruise. This will be our first cruise too and boy am I excited. I have been hooked on the DIS boards since we booked. We are also doing a week at the parks following the cruise.

Hey all~ We need to come up with a name for our cruise too. Any thoughts?

"TGFV" = "Thank Goodness For Vacation!"
"Get this woman a Konk Kooler, STAT!"

I'll keep thinking...

*wave* I gotta call the doc's office this morning. I don't know if I'm having asthma attacks (I have them so infrequently I don't recognize them) or just got a nasty bit of allergies. All I know is I am tired of coughing!!!

Brandie

Anybody else wishing they were on vacation today? I don't know how I'm supposed to hold out until next year. Heya, Dawn, when's your next trip?

Nothing is happening here. Just cleaned house this weekend and tried to stay out of the heat. *ugh*

We are coming on our first disney cruise too - 3 May 2008. Hubbie and I have Eddie who will be 1 and Ewan who will be 4. Not heard of many other Brits doing this type of cruise so we feel fairly adventurous. Is 3 May a busy cruise time normally?

*wave* Hiya!

Well, this is the first time for a May cruise for me and the crew that drug me on this cruise ;) :rotfl: so I can't answer how busy it will be. I do know that Main Dining is full and I've been waitlisted for Main since April.

Brandie

:welcome: Katenick!

I think this will be a pretty booked cruise too. My parents are going with us and booked within 2 weeks of us and they couldn't even get the same dining as us. Our ressies are linked and we still might not get to eat with them. I think they are waitlisted too. I will be totally bummed if we don't get to be with them.

I want to join the "stressful work" club and I just started my new job last week! I think it is more stressful just trying to learn all new stuff and trying to arrange child care for the summer. I am totally addicted to the Dis just for some escapism and dreaming of the vaca.:hourglass

I think it'll be booked to the gills (pun intended)...It is the last Western 7-night of the season (since they venture elsewhere during the summer) and because it is well after spring breaks and Easter, it is less expensive (figuratively speaking) than cruising in March or April.

So...welcome!

Hope everyone is having a FABulous summer!!!

Thanks for the info. I've never used a chat line before so my stuff isnt as good as yours! Look forward to the cruise.Kate

Actually, I am on vacation today, and I'm wishing I were home! Let me tell you, it ain't a Disney Cruise:rolleyes: We're just in New England visiting family. We've been away for a week now, and I'm ready to be in my own house again.

My TA said this cruise would probably be full. When we disembark, the Magic leaves for the 14-night Panamanian West Coast cruise, so it will be away for a while. Welcome aboard! My DS who will be 5 will love to play with your 4 year old! The more little guys onboard, the merrier.

I understand! Hope you've been able to avoid this heat! It's supposed to be 97 here in Denver today! Where's that fainting smilie again??? :)

*wave* Take care!

I just remembered  , on the other thread (there's one called "May 3 - 10 Western...Early Roll Call), there's a DISer called Sue136 who identified herself, her DH and DS9 as being from the UK, so you're not alone! She instructed us to looked for the sunburned redheads:)

HI there we are on that cruise and from the UK as well. I dont think there will be that many from UK although ship busy. We are hubbie Nick, Ewan 4 and Eddie 1.

Looking forward to it already

Thanks for the mail. That would be great for the boys to meet up. Will they be in the same club?

Hi all!

I didn't realize that there were 2 threads going for this cruise (although I haven't really had much time to write to the other one this summer).

We will also be on the May 3 Western and can't wait. We took our first cruise this spring, the April 28th Eastern, and got hooked! We rebooked onboard for Nov. 2008 with plans to move it to spring 2009, but we decided that we just couldn't wait that long!! Right after we got home, we changed to this one. I hope that we like the Western as much as we did the Eastern!

We will be me, DH, and our 2 girls who will be 5 and 3 at cruise time! We will be in a Cat. 5 midship stateroom on the starboard side. Same stateroom as last cruise!

The girls are already so excited about next year. My oldest is really looking forward to some of the things that the 5-7 age group gets to do - baking cookies and making flubber are at the top of her list! The little one was 2 years and 9 months on this last cruise, but was able to be in the club, so she is just excited to do all of the same things all over again!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Danielle,

What stateroom are you in? My partner Lisa and I are in 7570, and our friends are in 7568 and 7572.
