I'm wondering... is anyone (ladies ) going to be bringing a pair of pumps for dinner/formal nights? Black pumps are my main staple, and while I do have some nice sandals, I'm not sure about going a week without them...

Is it going to be too "hot"???

I do shoes that are sort of this style;

I don't do stockings, and they go with everything. I don't wear black though, but I'm sure you can find something like that in black!

I need to try to find out of Pikey will be our our ship or not. Avery has started to ask about him & if he is not I want to prepare her early.

Let me know what you find out. We loved Pikey; however, last year, our cruise was one of his last on the Magic. He was going over to the Wonder. It would be fantastic if he would be on the Magic again.

He and another guy (can't remember his name -- alas) really made the cruse for my girls. I will never forget their singing back up to "I won't say I'm in love" for Leia on Karaoke night.

I do not do pantyhose in weather above 60 degrees unless my child's life depends on it! I have some dress sandals that I find very comfortable, and I wouldn't even stress some not-so-comfortable dress sandals, since most of the time you will be sitting while you were them.

No hosiery is the new fashion... but I agree, it does seem weird.

Ok! If we're all going to do it, I'll throw the strappy ones in... and I'll bring the band aids!!!!!!!

We'll just see how itchy the crinoline at the bottom is....

I say wear what makes you feel comfortable! If you are uncomfortable with no hose then wear hose. I wear 'fancy pants' so I don't have to worry about it.

I'm wearing black satin strappy sandals similar to that link the heel is exact but they have straps and a buckle. Mine are not too uncomfortable. How much standing are we really going to be doing? If you show up 5-10 minutes late for dinner you don't even have to wait in line. I've read it does no good to show up for dinner earlier. They will not seat you one minute before your time. There will be a line for photos on formal night I've read.

I'm also bringing some black bling bling flip flops. You can put bling on anything and it looks dressier.

I don't own any pumps anymore. I like the open heeled shoes so all my shoes are pretty much mules. I have a bony narrow heel and it's hard to find shoes that won't give me a blister there.

I'm also bringing a black pair of leather open toed open backed shoes they just have the leather strap that goes over the center part of your foot.

All my shoes will be black and sassy. If I'm going to paint my toenails I'm going to show them off.

JC Penney is having a really good sale again on stuff this Friday evening and Saturday if anyone needs anything. There's a lot of stuff buy one and get the next for .88 cents

Oooo, thanks for the tip! I'll stop in this weekend. I'm going to Buffalo to do some US shopping, we live about 1 1/2 hr from the border, so it is the closest way to get to go to US stores!

True! Being an anti-hosiery type from way back, I pay particular attention to who goes bare legged and when. Over the last few years, you can see most starlets walking the red carpet with their impeccably pedicured toes peeking out from jewel encrusted Manolo sandals!

But I agree---do what makes you feel comfortable. That's why I don't wear 'em, but my mom wears pantyhose under pants because she likes how they hold her tummy firm!

But I always have plan B. Folding ballet pumps or fancy flip flops in my handbag lol

So if the going gets tough....I give in gracefully and carry the heels home!

I even wore Crocs to dinner on CC night on my last cruise. The tops of my feet got badly burned and the cute sandals that I had wanted to wear just wouldn't go on.....so Crocs it was! Luckily they were a complimentary color to the outfit I had on that night.
