Our extended family will be on this cruise. It will be our sixth. We have 6 adults (grandma (stroke patient), and her helper, me and DH, my sister and her DH) and 4 kids (ages 10, 6, 4 and 4)

Most of us will be dressing up for pirate night as well (two of the girls will be Elizabeth Swan).

So looking forward to the trip.

MISSLISA--I would recommend checking out www.universalorlando.com before you go. There are two parks (universal studios and islands of adventures). Since you're only going for one day, I would recommend checking out the site to see which park better suits you. I'd also potentially recommend paying the $$ to get Disney's version of the fast pass. With just one day, you definitely want to maximize your time there! We're going to SeaWorld because we get in for nothing (it's owned by Anheuser Busch and because we have the highest level season pass for Sesame Place in PA, we can get in to all Anheuser Busch parks free (not including the NEW water park they just opened). Would be cool to see you there though! I doubt we'll check in until we're done with SeaWorld, though. And then Sunday we hit MK for our 'free' day (due to the monsoons from MNSSHP in September). Our flight does not leave on Sunday untikl 7pmish (although it has changed at least twice already)...

I will definitely look into that "fast pass"... I work for CAA (Canadian AAA) and so I get free passes to Universal as well! So, the extra cost might be worth it. I can't wait to see Universal. We have settled on Universal Studios because we aren't huge "rides" people... believe it or not. And, from what I hear, Islands of Adventure is all about the rides. We'll probably spend some time on Citywalk as well. Thanks for the tips!!!!!!!!

Hello to everyone! I know that everyone is all excited about our cruise. My kids have been counting down the days for months! It looks like is going to be a full boat. We are trying to decide what to do in Key West. Can anyone please recomend what we can do? Thanks!

The don't miss items (in my humble opinion) include Mummy, Men in Black (which is kind of like Buzz Lightyear at MK), Terminator 2. Jaws is cool when it's working (actually it's 'hot' depending on the side of the boat you're sitting on . They just got rid of Back to the Future (which was awesome when it first opened). Don't know if the simpsons ride is up and running yet. ET is fun as is Shrek 4-D. Haven't done 'Disaster'...that must be pretty new too. HAVE FUN!!!

On the DCL front, I am proud to say that the kids are 90% packed. We had a morning of trying last year's summer clothes on (they didn't enjoy the experience, but I bribed them with M&Ms). I threw a few pairs of shorts in my suitcase and a couple bathing suits, but that's about it. I HAVE to be done by the 27th because I go on a business trip (to Orlando of all places) from the 28th-Apr 1 so don't have ANY time that week before we leave on the 2nd. (So basically I come home from the Orlando on the 1st just to fly back there on the 2nd. UGH! At least it's for a good cause!!!

Don't know how much I'll be on during the week so have a good one!!!

Just 2 minuts ago, i was sitting behind my computer in our study room.
There was a UPC car pulling up our street and stopped at our front door.

The doorbell rings....
I ran downstairs and he had a package for me.

Hmmmm what would that be, i didn't order anything (this time)..
Hmmmm i signed the mens paperwork and went inside.
Looking at the envelop's adress, hmmm Florida celebration...

I opened the package and what was inside.
Our cruise package !!!!!!!!

This is so cool, now it's just a blink away and we leaving!!!!
Yes, we have it on time.....

Wow! Who would have thought cruisers in the Netherlands would be the first to receive cruise docs! I guess the good old reliable US mail will be carrying most of ours to us soon.

I guess I'll haul out the luggage today and start some packing. I ordered a Lightning McQueen GoodyPak to be delivered to our stateroom for DS yesterday. So cute! We're running to JC Penny today to get him his THIRD pair of dress shoes in the past year. When we went to my cousin's son's Bar Mitzvah in November, I had packed his dress shoes, and when I was getting him dressed, I couldn't get them on his feet. I ran over the the PayLess next to the hotel and grabbed a new pair for him to wear. When we tried those on last week, it was like putting the glass slipper on one of Cinderella's stepsisters! Size 10 last summer to size 12 today. I'm thinking I'll get him a 12 1/2 so he might be able to wear them to my nephew's wedding in July. I refuse to buy a 5 yo FOUR PAIR OF DRESS SHOES IN LESS THAN A YEAR!!

Had to report UPS just dropped an unexpected package at my door, finally have the DCL docs in my hot little hands.....!!!! Time to get to work and get packing. Talk about a GREAT way to start the week!!!!!!!

Anyone know if a large 32" suitcase will fit somewhere in the room???!!! I have pulled everything out to get ready to pack and my dilema is do I need to add another 28" suitcase to my to buy list or will I be able to cram my 32" suitcase somewhere??? Thanks!

So, we've been running all over looking for a sport jacket for DH. He has the problem that he is quite short, we are the same height... so, finding sizing is difficult. He's looking for a jacket that he can also wear with jeans, but will look nice with dress pants for formal and semi-formal night. Needless to say, this isn't as easy as I thought it'd be.

Anyway, everything else is coming along well. I have picked up disposable waterproof cameras for our excursions, and many of the extra 'do-dads' that I have wanted to bring along.

Only three more shopping weekends left!!!!!!!!

And, thanks to all the Pixie dust that you guys sent my way... I'm starting to feel a little bit better. I'm finally back at work!

I'll actually BE in Orlando 4/29-5/1...but for business. How much of a tease is THAT? I get home late on 5/1 and turnaround and fly back down early on 5/2.


Separately...for those of you that got your cruise documents. You're all just showing off (just kidding). You got me all excited to come home and check the mail and well....nothing! LOL And UPS (FEDEX, etc.) have waivers on file for me to just 'leave' stuff on my porch. Now that I don't work from home any longer so it will be waiting with bated breath for it to show up. Sigh...
