May 3, 2003 - Magic Eastern Cruisers

Hi Rae,
I can't get into that link you posted for the updated cruise list. Maybe someone else can help you, I have no clue how to fix it!!!

This link will take you to the National Donor Family Counsel Quilt - I embroidered the last picture Kayla drew before she pass on and it was placed on the quilt in 1995. I hope you don't mind my shamelessly plugging organ donation but I know what it did for our family to give life for others and encourage you all to do so.

Rae

Very nice Rae, and I've had my donor card filled out for years, don't know if anyone would want to take anything from this old body though, LOL!!!

Sorry Rae but if emmak can't help then I can't either, as she shows me how to do all this stuff. I totally have no clue. Nice try though and hope someone more computer literate can help you out soon.

Rae, just to clarify, I meant someone more computer literate than I am not you for God's sake. You definitely are leaving me in the dust in that department. Good Luck!

Rae, what a wonderful tribute to those who have lost their lives here on earth but continue to live on in others. I also have had my donor card filled out for years. I would hope it would be comforting to my family if I passed on to know that a part of me still lives in someone else who so badly needed that "life".

I love the quilt and the stories are just so touching. I have not finished it yet but will return to it later. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Kayla was quite the little artist wasn't she? Your lives were so richened by having her in it. Barb

Thanks for the posts regarding Kayla - yes, she was a great kid who taught me to love, laugh and believe in myself!

Now for my computer illiteracy, I could be a feminist and say that I'm so smart in everything that I let Tom be our computer genius, but fact is, I hate computers and just use it to write my plays and for this Board and e-mails. Otherwise, I'm ignorant by choice!!!!

I'll fix it tonight if no one else can!!!!

Three Circles did it last time for me - maybe when they log in, they will see that I did it again!! Or as Andy says, "I pulled a Hazel!"

Rae

Rae,
What a beautiful quilt........ And what beautiful sentiments.
You have a beautiful daughter. I can tell she was such a blessing in your life. Thanks for the link to the quilt. I really enjoyed it!
Barbara

Thanks Barb!! She was a treasure and if it wasn't for her life and passing on, I'd never be as happy within myself as I now am. She taught me a lot - most important to believe in myself and love myself regardless of what others thought!

Soooooo, anyone hooking up with anyone else for the dining?
Any more information for me to put on the list before tonight when Tom will fix the link that doesn't work?!

I am so sorry! I forgot to ask if anyone was doing any of the excursions during our cruise!!!

Please let me know so I can add it to your listing if you wish!!

I begged Mom to get out of the Rainforest Spa Room for enough time to take two excursions with me and Michael!!!!

At St. Maarten - "See and Sea Island Tour" - 8:15AM - 3.5hrs

At St. Thomas - "St. John Island Tour" - 7:40AM - 5 hrs.
(Possibly I'll talk them into doing the Paradise Point Tramway back at St. Thomas!)

That's all for now, folks!

Rae

I have sent pm's out to everyone about the cruise - if you didn't get one, let me know.

Rae

Here are the excursions we booked....still hoping to get into the Dolphin Encounter but it does not look promising!

Makaroni5 (Barb), DH (Ray), Emmak (Heidi), DS (Mak,4)...
St. Thomas - Atlantis Submarine @ 9:15

Emmak's (Heidi) DH (Sobhy)...
St. Maarten - Mountain Bike Adventure @ 7:45

Makaroni5 (Barb), DH (Ray), Emmak (Heidi), DS (Mak,4), DD (Emma,2)...
St. Maarten - Island Drive & Explorer Cruise @1:15

Makaroni5 (Barb) & Emmak (Heidi)...
Castaway Cay - Banana Boat Ride @ 11:30

Well, we've decided that there's no time like the present to teach the lad about adventure, so Cindi (self) David (DH) and Tanner (DS, 11, almost 12) have rented cars on both islands. Destination: snorkeling locales, good beaches and a little local shopping.

The left hand-drive thing will probably make it . . . exciting . . . in St. Thomas. And having Tanner's dad deal with the discussion regarding the proper etiquette for observing topless ladies at the beach should be . . . entertaining, for me!!:p

Rae,
Thanks for your wonderful post regarding your daughter. I too have been an organ donor for years and had a friend on a transplant list.
I wish I could go on the 3rd with you all as it sounds like fun, but I'm getting ready to move to Florida. You and Veranda man will have to keep us posted about a cruise to Celebrate your 50th's. It would be fun. Please keep us posted on Annie.
Thanks,
Lynn, aka Moosysmom

Just got a chance to post - guess who came home today!

ANNIE!!!

She is very weak and doesn't feel much like doing anything but being held or lying down, but hey! She made it!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all your notes and prayers for the little dog - the vet bill went up to $706.00! But she's alive and she's officially our dog now!!!!

I will try to get a picture of her to post on the site so you can all see our new addition!!!!

If you get curious, look up Parti Pomeranian - she's a black and white one.

Again, thanks everyone for everything!!!!

So glad to hear the good news about Annie!!!

Did anyone besides us see the Travel Channel special on the Disney Cruise Line?!

Chantelle Assante was demonstrating the Alpha Capsule - she's a wonderful CM from South Africa who is the personal trainer on the Wonder!

It was a great one hour special that made us glad we were leaving real soon!!!!

I haven't seen it yet Rae, but Jeanne is mailing me a copy of the tape, our cable company does not carry the Travel Channel. Hopefully it will arrive by Saturday's mail, so I can spend Easter Sunday afternoon watching it over and over again, what better way to spend my birthday.
