Must be the Taurus in you -

Oh, I've been told by Hazel, that I'm a Bull, and full of it!!!

Yes emmak is our daughter, so the six of us will be traveling together May 3rd.
I was talking today to a Disney Cruise Cast Member and she said that she had sailed on the Magic twice and she mentioned to cruise staff after the cruise that she didn't think the cruise was full because she hardly saw any kids. They told her it was a full ship and plenty of kids onboard. It's just a large ship and well organized with activities for the kids and they aren't running all over the place. I've heard that from others also.
I would imagine their cruise would be organized like that just as the parks are. That's the lst thing I noticed on our first trip to DisneyWorld in 1979, how organized it was. I love it all and emmak was only 9 yrs. old on her lst trip and now she's bringing her 2 children there. The 4 yr. old had been to the park 5 times by the time he was 4 and the 2 yr. old has been 3 times already. I'm sure we will be repeat cruisers on Disney Cruise Line.

We noticed the same thing too, Makaroni5!

Although the ships are full, Disney does a great job of organizing and the ship never seemed crowded.

Rae,

With all the posting we have been doing back and forth I forgot to ask you, are you going to be posting while on the May 3 cruise?

You have to give us reports about how many shrimp you have consumed!!! Besides, it will be very lonely around without you for a whole week.

I have already included the internet cafe into my cruise budget for our August cruise!!! I'll either be posting late at night, or early in the morning, most likely!!!???!!!

If anyone would like to see what our infamous "Rae519 the Shrimp Stealer" looks like, here is a photo of her doing her dirty work!!!

I hope the rest of you on this thread are enjoying the picture Andy put on as much as I am! I swear, I almost fell on the floor laughing so hard and then I couldn't type him a note back!!

Don't ya' all just wish he was coming with us?! I think we need to start PMing him and Hazel regularly to change their reservations like Three Circles did!

Besides posting (which could be the most rewarding task I'm doing right now), I am in charge of the school's fund raiser and Carnival this year - which all takes place on May 3 since the original date was changed! So I have a lot to do and am having a ball doing it!

I am in the midst of working on a new play - honestly! And have been getting sidetracked easily because I'm a voracious reader and when I find a new author I like, I am obsessed to read everything s/he has ever written. Right now I'm on my absolute favorite author - Stuart Woods. The man is incredibly talented, writes a story that makes you never want to stop reading and his books just get better and better as I read them.

Also, I do a volunteer work with the Organ Donor Organization as a speaker - Donor Mother. It helps people to see that I made it through the loss of Kayla and why I support Organ Donation.
Plus I am active in my Church and community -

Rae
(And of course, I steal shrimp!)

I will be with you on May 3-10! definatelytooo excited! Dearest sister won this cruise on a radio station and lovingly invited myself and my children to join her! Is she cool or what?! I have three children- DD Dell-17 DS Matt-15 and DD CG-13. I would love to get to know a few cruisers before we leave! Please keep me informed of chat room meetings or plans to get together on the ship. Also would appreciate tips for helping teens get the most out of thier vacation. I am torn between scheduling things for them or just letting them find thier own way...any suggestions? Wondering if 17 year old will be allowed to use spa services- she would love a massage. I understand that it is supposed to be for adults only- but do they check ID's or anything? She could easily pass for 18- she will be 18 in a few months. Since she is scheduled to join the army reserves in June I figure she ought to be mature enough to get a massage! Let me know.
PS_ how the heck do you get a countdown clock installed around here?!! :p:

Auntie Bon,
Congrats on winning a cruise! That's great. I am hoping to win one, or at least the money to pay for it, at the big BINGO!!!!!!lol.

Dave, what a great surprise. Only problem I would have with it for me would be my packing. I need to know where I am going ahead of time or I wouldn't pack everything I really wanted, i.e. for formal night, etc. Otherwise, great idea. Wish my hubby would do that sometime for me. He's not much for surprising me. I'm usually the one doing that. Good Luck and hope to meet you aboard May 3.

30 days? Now that's something to be excited about!!!

Okay, what about a time and place for our DIS meeting?
Maybe we could just take a few minutes (or how ever long people want) to just get together, say hello and put a face to a name.

Suggestions? Anyone?!
Unique clothing, name tags?

Rae

The Promenade Lounge? It's usually not too busy and can provide refreshments to those who want them.

When is everyone planning on boarding? We've always been on the ship as soon as they stated boarding but that won't be possible this time. I'll be attending my graduation ceremony from 9:30 to 11 or so. Then, figure about two hours to the port.

I'm hoping to be onboard by 1 or so. Jeez, I shouldn't talk like this... It gets me way too anxious for the cruise!

What's muster???

What about after the safety drill we could all meet up on the pool deck before the sailaway party?????? Would that be too crowed to do????

I think after the drill would be a good time, we know everyone would be there and not in the middle of something.

But, I'm open for anything :Pinkbounc

I tend to agree with after the drill, seems like the perfect time. But I am up for anywhere, anytime we agree on. See you there.

I am planning on being in line at the ship by 10:30, hopefully.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

LOVE the idea of after the Muster at the Promenade Lounge!
I'll be posting the NEW list tomorrow so anyone (other than Jason and Travis - thanks so much for the e-mail!!!) who have new information for me - please get it to me!

Remember if anyone wants to make joint dining reservations they will need to have the other party's reservations number and name when they call DCL.

Mom, Michael and I MIGHT be wearing look like shirts - so if we are, I'm the Middle aged one, Michael is the kid and Mom is definitely the MOM!!!

Maybe we need to have those temporary name tags on so we can identify eachother - user name and first name.

I don't think this is news to anyone, but I am getting so excited!!!!

Rae

We usually get to the port really early! I love being one of the first people in line to get on the ship. We will be staying at the Radisson, so we usually take the shuttle over at about 10/10:30.

Meeting after the drill sounds fine, I just don't want to miss sailing out of the port! I absolutely love that feeling you get when the ship starts moving through the channel and everyone on shore is waving to you! (Just as good as the first day of your vacation, when you walk down Main Street USA!)

Ya'll just let me know what you decide. We would love to meet everyone! Like you said Rae...put a face with a name!

Count us in too - post muster!

I assume children are permitted in the Promenade Lounge?

Looking forward to a new experience!

I think I will wear the home depot tags on my shirt, lime green, user name and lst name sounds great to me. Just tell me where and when and I'll be there, hopefully with emmak too. She's on the shy side, hahaha, just kidding. Look for us! These are my grands bouncing around, two of them. They're not TOO excited!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
