May 28, 2011 - 11 Night Mediterranean Sailing from Barcelona

That is correct. Once on the ship you can make additional reservations if they're available. On our Baltic cruise last summer we saw empty tables at Palo at dinner. Brunch is always the hardest to book.

Well that stinks.....I still would like to schedule a group brunch with anyone that would like to have one together. It would be on a sea day. If anyone is interested let me know and we will work together to schedule it.

Cindy

Cindy,
We think the "meet & greet" would be great. Thanks for coordinating it. We will be there. When you say Day 1 is that May 28 (Saturday) or the first full day?

We will be doing Palo on our own as we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary.

Thanks Again and looking forward to meeting everyone!

Love the App translator. Already downloaded it and it works great. Will help my son in his German class too! Thanks for sharing the info!

We have filled up most of our tours but do have a "few" spots still open. Let me know if anyone is interested. Here is an update:

1. Naples - 2 spots Open/ Romeabs - Sorrento, Pompeii & Positano
2. Rome - FULL
3. LaSpezia - 1 Spot Open/ RomeinLimo - Pisa & Florence

I think we are going to do Villefranche on our own. It looks like it is pretty easy to do (atleast per Rick Steves' book). We have traveled quite a bit and are pretty comfortable using the public transportation in Europe.
We really just want to visit Monte Carlo, Monaco & Eze. If anyone knows about doing this on your own I would appreciate your input. Thanks so much!

yes the meet and greet will be on day 1 (Saturday), when can go from there to our life boat drills.

Hi Cindy,
We will be at the meet and greet. Thanks again for all of your coordination for our group! Look forward to meeting you!

I was able to book our excursions,Palo and spa at midnight last night.
Was not able to book a shore excursion for Palermo since that info is not available yet. Pretty sure we want to go to Cefalu again like we did in 2007 on the DCL Med cruise.

Was able to book Palo dinner, Brunch, Tea ( never done this before, anyone have any comments that has been )

Booked a pedicure (never done this either) for the sea day in the middle of the cruise. I know we're going to do alot of walking !

Booked Blue Lagoon in Malta and Sweet Corsica in Corsica.
We have priv tours with our son and his family in Naples, Rome, and Villefranche.

LaSpezia....going to Cinque Terre on our own.

My advice, is when it's your time to book your "stuff". Go on line at midnight !!

As we won't be able to book until Februar 27, could you possibly look something up for me if you find the time?

- Cinque Terre Boat Tour: still available?
- Les Calanches Tour (Corsica): still available?

Those are the two tours I would really love to do, but if they happen to be already sold out I would like to know now, instead of being horribly disappointed when I log in to book on the 27th. Thank you so much - and if you don't find the time, don't worry, I'll find out soon enough after all.

I just checked. Yes, they both are still available ! :thumbsup2

We are doing Cinque Terre on our own. Easy to do.
I noticed that the Disney Cinque Terre tour is from 8:30-1:00. You may want to consider doing it on your own to give you more time :confused3

Our dinner in Palo last year was very good. We are looking forward to booking another dinner for our anniversary. And I would like to do a brunch, trying to get others to do brunch with us.

If anyone is interested in doing brunch as a group, they have a room that you can have 12 or 13 in, please PM me your reservation number and I can get it booked for us. Though I can't book anything until 27 February.

104 days everyone......:cool1::cool1::banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay:

I don't think you will have to worry about them filling up before 27 February. We didn't even book our cruise last year until sometime in March and couldn't book our excursions until sometime near the end of March and there were plenty of seats still available.

Though you could probably save money by just taking the local boat yourself to Cinque Terra, that is what we are doing and I know a lot of other people are doing the same.

Thank you for taking the time to check that for me, scrapycruiser! :flower3:

However, both you and Cindy mention doing Cinque Terre by boat on our own. Could you just quickly tell me how, please? I have heard about taking a train to the Cinque Terre and getting off at any of them to walk around, but I hadn't heard about a boat tour on your own. Thank you!

Sorry, I don't know how to do it. I just know that after we get off the tender boat we can get on another boat right at the same spot to go over to Cinque Terra and it doesn't cost that much.

A lot of people last year did the same thing.

Cindy

I don't know what happened to the weebly website, but the DisMeets information has disappeared and the private tour information changed.

Anyone that has private tours scheduled please check the website and PM me with your proper information so I can fix it.

Thanks

Cindy

I will get you the info later today. We are taking the train to Cinque Terre. It's a 30 min walk from the ship OR you can take a taxi to the train station.

The boats sounded like fun, and I've heard the scenery around the coastline is beautiful. We may change our mind and do the boats.
We'll probably have to wait until that day . If the water is rough the boats won't run. So it would be good to have a back up plan.:rolleyes1

Anyway, I'll research this and get back to you with the info !:surfweb:
