Well it is 6:00 AM and I am the only one awake. We are going to start driving around 9:00 AM today. It is hard to believe that it is today!! We will see everyone tomorrow

Thank you BetsyAnn for the warm wishes!! We drive to LA today!! It is amazing that it is finally here. This is our first Disney Cruise and the first time our little ones will have been on a cruise. I am praying that we make this trip one we will always remember fondly. I know vacations are what "you" make them so I am going to do my best to make it fabulous!!

Brandy and Sandy- Glad DH made it in OK. One of my favorite movie songs & scenes is from "Foul Play" when Goldie Hawn is driving along the coast to "Ready to Take a Chance Again" !! I love it..maybe I'll watch it tonight! Can't wait to meet you all!

Margaret - isn't Foul Play the one with Chevy Case and Goldie Hawn? The one where there is the hysterical taxi scene?? I LOVED that movie. Haven't seen it in YEARS!!

VIDEO CAMERA!!!!!! I NEED BLANK TAPES! You SEE, it's that nightmare I had a month ago. We were on the dock and I realized that NOONE in my party had any cameras. I've got some phone calls to make!

My sentiments exactly... I'm so thrilled to be going on this truly "family" vacation. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and making some exciting memories to scrapbook! Hahaha... that is a family joke as I buy all kinds of stuff and take tons of pictures to scrapbook, but have YET to create a page! But ONEday, I will do it and my books will be awesome as I will have all my stuff ready.

Blake & I got the day off, so our vacation officially starts today. Although it's not going to be relaxing today as we are running around trying to take care of all the last minute stuff.

I have not started packing But, with the girls in school all day, it will be nice to have a quiet house and lots of empty suitcases. I have my work cut out for me.

We made up the lime green navigators yesterday. I have to say that DH did an excellent job! We'll hand these out at the scoops meet.

I know there are not many of us left here on the board. We're looking forward to meeting everyone TOMORROW!

Enchanedplayroom here ~ My mom and I are both watching kids today until 1:30, when our insane friend is going to take over for us. I say insane, because she volenteered! Most of the kids are gtting picked up early though, so she'll only watch like 3. I brought my daycare kids over to mom's, as she is off to the Dr.'s office to get her mostion sickness pills. Can't forget those. DH is still ASLEEP across the street. Fine with me...but he's driving tonight!!!! He doesn't know that yet. Muah ha ha.

Congratulations on your impending fun and adventure, fellow 8086'er. Take lots of pictures; I am anxious to see the room. Our group cruises July 9 and I will be staying in the same room. We willl be at Ports O'Call on Sat with a large group of Disers. We will be the ones in green (with envy) waving the sign and a few will even be crying.

Thanks to all of you who will be giving us such a great, green send off!! :thewave:


Brandy and GrumpyMom1- I too, am guilty of "collecting" scrapbooking supplies. I only have one child who is 5 and only have 1 album starting with her infant pics! Shameful!


Here's just some last minute stuff I've done (just to cross off my list in my mind and maybe help anyone):

Charged up Video Recorder battery
Put in blank tape and bringing extra blank tape for video recorder
Charged up digital Camera battery
Packed battery charger for camera
Cleaned up camera card
Gassed up car
Checked oil in car
Got $1 bills at bank for room service and porter tips
Spoke with neighbors about watching house and pulling in trash cans,newspapers, packages, etc.
Dogs: packed blankets,toys,food..emergency numbers and shot records.
Gave dogs heartworm medication and flea/tick medications
Filled out documents and have with passports
Bought fresh suntan lotions
Packed highlighters for navigators
Paid bills

Whew!...did I forget anything? I have a feeling I did..

Well we are checked into the hotel (free internet!!) and are ready to go for tomorrow. I hope the GC Meet was fun today!!

If you were standing in the midst of a large crowd of people in front of one of the restaurants, we definitely saw you! I took a hi-def photo, will see what I can do about enlarging it (once I find it amongst the 600+ digital photos I think I took)

Trip was great, everyone will be posting shortly. The embarkation was a bit rough, they're still ironing out a few items. However, the disembarkation went fairly well (others will disagree). More later after I get my land legs under me....

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to my fellow cruisers. It was great getting to know some of you, although I didn't get a chance to meet the whole gang since the embarkation took forever and we were not able to get on board until almost 3:30 pm and ended up missing the kids' meet and the Scoops meet. I can't believe I was waiting in line to check in for almost 3 hours!

We re-booked onboard to get the 10% and $200 credit, but have no idea if we'll be able to go for at least another couple of years.

Talk to you later. We have tons of unpacking to do.
