Sounds great! I'll handle the "daily" cocktail hour on the non-wine/champagne nights. Sessions sounds good and I'll check it out.

Grammie Gail- Cocktail Hour "Captain"- can you confirm your choice for days and times and location?

I thought Jedisan's Navigator kind of did that for me, regarding time, but now looking at it, it didn't. bummer! ....(bolds are mine)

"Here is the first draft -

SATURDAY - Casual Dress (theme yet undetermined)
3:00 Scoops Meet-n-Greet
8pm Bon Voyage Champagne Celebration in Suite 8078 (EnchantedPlayroom)
Champagne night - no cocktails - Right?

SUNDAY - (AT SEA) Formal Night/Golden Mickeys
1:00 Beer Bash (location to be determined)
??pm Cocktails in Suite 8534 (RocknTy )
Girls Night Out Dancing (You’re already dressed1)
Do we want a cocktail night on "fancy" nights? If so, I say 5:00, but the location is TBD because this is my first DCL trip and don't know the locations well yet.

MONDAY - (AT SEA) Casual Dress (theme yet undetermined)
1:00 Beer Bash (location to be determined)
??pm Wine Tasting in Suite 8086 (LegalBriefs)
Wine night. No cocktail hour. Right?

TUESDAY - (Puerto Vallarta) Pirate Night!
8:ish Pirate Party in Suite 8078 EnchantedPlayroom
What with Pirate Night, I kind of figured cocktails would not be needed, but if the vote is meet, I say 5:00pm with location TBD

WEDNESDAY - (Mazatlan) Casual Dress (theme yet undetermined)
8pm - “Overtake” a Bar for cocktails (bar to be determined)
5:00, but the location is TBD.

THURSDAY - (Cabo San Lucas) Semi-Formal Night/Captain's Gala (LOBSTER!!!)
8pm - “Overtake” a Bar for cocktails (bar to be determined)
Do we want a cocktail night on "fancy" nights? If so, I say 5:00, but the location is TBD because this is my first DCL trip and don't know the locations well yet.

I've been reviewing old navigators today and have the following comments:
Monday - past cruises had the Castaway Club reception at 5:15pm Monday.
Friday - past cruises had the galley tour at 2:45pm on the last sea day. I don't know what they will do this time, but if they offer it at this time, I may have to back out of the Champagne party. May sound crazy, but the galley tour is a must do for me.

There have been a lot of great suggestions, so we thought we would post an updated version. We think this takes into account all of the comments so far. We do have a couple of questions at the end. Thanks for the great response.

FRIDAY
3:00pm Precruise Meet-n-Greet @ Grand California’s White Water Snacks

Some remaining questions:

CHALLADA & WCCRUISER - LegalBriefs has already volunteered his Suite (8086) on Monday for the “Wine Tasting”. Perhaps you can coordinate with him? If his suite will not work, then perhaps we could have Deck 7 Aft Verandah as a second choice?

WMJIVEY - As our resident brewer, would you like to “volunteer” to be our Captain of the “Mardi Gras & Beer Bash” on Tuesday?

SUESINGS - It will probably be best to determine the time/place of the “Farewell Champaign Celebration” once on board.

GRAMMIEGAIL - Saturday will undoubtedly include champagne and cocktails. RocknTy has confirmed 4:30 on Sunday.

WOW! Thank you so much for getting this together! I am so excited...I can't believe it!

Do any of us want to add any non-beverage themed get togethers? I.E.....do we want to have a DIS raid on bingo?, do we want to do a coffee and book-trade morning?, do we want to has DIS basketball tournament (I'll lose)? do we want to have adults versus kids sport court morning (before the drinks, maybe we can take them)?

I know, I know...there will be tons of activities on the boat too....but I'm an over planner....

I'm fine w/Legal doing the wino get together...I'm not much of a wino so glad some others are willing to do it!

FYI...I went back to repack much of what I had started w/last weekend and found a new packing trick...using the BIG ziplocks (bigger than the gallon size), put folded clothes into bag and roll out air and zip...takes up HALF the space (my two luggages of items fit in one now!).

ALSO...it was noted on the bulletin board question from sue that one idea was having one DIS room per deck as the message door for all on that floor...I'd volunteer my door for deck 2 since we are near the elevators (back ones).

Yeah!! Thank you Lara and Blake!! Looks great! One question-
Now that the wine tasting is in LegalBriefs suite, will the time of 3pm stay the same?

Jedisan- Will you be printing the list of all our names and cabin numbers and dinner seatings along with the navigator?

Challada- Also,, what size Ziplock are you talking about? Is there one bigger than gallon size? What is is called? I'd love more space in my suitcase!!
;)

Chris - I'd be happy to be responsible for the 5th floor. I don't know if you saw the other post that told me that the "responsible room" keeps post it notes on their door for other's to post messages. I'd be happy to keep the post it notes on my door (I already put it on my list of things to pack). People will have to have a pen on them when they stop by to leave a message.

As far as timing for champagne on Friday, I'm thinking of doing it at 1:00 PM (I'm thinking, it will be after lunch, before Bingo (if it is the same as some of the old Navigators I found), and we have Ava signed up for Daycare until 2.

Chris, I'd also like to have some Coffee meets. I for sure can do it on Friday at 10 AM. I'll have to work out a schedule with Mark (to figure out who is watching Ava when) on the other days, but I will definitely be getting Latte's each day :flower:

Do we have most DIS'ers room numbers?

BonVoyage party in 8078 on Saturday 8pm-11pm
BYOB of Champagne / Wine / Beer / Soda
Dress is Casual OR Pirate if there is no Themed Pirate Night scheduled by DCL...
Snacks and FUN for everyone.

We do, we do... DH Joe and I would LOVE to do a DIS raid on Bingo... count us in for that... AND count us in for coffee also.

Sue- 1pm sounds fine to me as Susie said their might be a galley tour at 245p, which would interest me as well.

Susie- do you like to cook too? I am really looking forward to some of the "Art of Entertaining" classes.

Chris- count me in for coffee too!

Yes, I do. The Food TV channel is one of my favorites. That and the Travel Channel.

I was also looking at some of those "Art of Entertaining" classes. I thought I would try the first one and see what they are like. Here at home, I love to go to cooking classes. There is one store here in San Diego that offers evening classes from 6pm to 9pm. You get to sample everything they cook and they give you a couple glasses of wine for the evening. This is a special "night out" for me.

Margaret- YES...there are Ziplock brand bags that are a size up from the gallon size (they are like 2 gallon bags)! I just got a big bunch of them from my friend who did a Disney cruise last year, but I know she bought them at our local restaurant supply store. Another friend of mine who owns the local Italian restaurant gave me some also, so it must be a restaurant thing. I know that DS's school uses this size bag for library check-out for the younger kids. I'll try to find out where else you can get them....but they are the most awesome thing for packing!!!

Sue, Sandy & other coffee folks....let's plan at least on a Friday 10 am get together at Common Grounds....bring books of you want to exchange (since it's the end of the cruise, we may want new reading material).

Do we want to do a Bingo thing earlier in the week (maybe Sunday for everyone to check out the Bingo early to see if they like it)?

I would be happy to plan a parents versus kids sports court tourney if anyone is interested....I did one couple months ago for PTA family night (yea, I'm in that too) and it was GREAT fun....maybe Monday morning on the sports court?

Hidden Mickey Time:
Hidden Mickey #16
Pull up to the bar, but watch where you put your feet!

:sunny: HOT TIP #9 - There are specialized Personal Navigators for the Teens and kids. They’re available at the Oceaneer’s Lab and Club. They list activities of interest for each age group.
And Ty, how exactly did you make that shirt? I NEEEEEEEED one. But...like, with my name and stuff.

AND I feel that EVERYONE should get those huge "WE'RE #1" Fingers to wave around when we leave port, to wave at the well wishers as we go out... we'll be on TV NEWS and the news paper for sure. Party City has those fingers ...I think they are $2.99... I"ll check as I am going there later.

Sandy-
I went to Party City today and they didn't have any! Bummer. So I did manage to scrape up the last two (kinda beat up) lime green foam fingers at Michael's, but they have no wording on them. So I bought black foam sheets to make lettering for our fingers. Should I just put "We're #1" ?
Are you all bringing confetti? Is it allowed?
:cheer2: :bounce:

WC.. I AM bringing confetti... Don't know if it is allowed.. but I guess I'll find out.. I also have "poppers" and toss streamers, and helieum balloons and AIR HORNS! I'm planning on some noise and hoop-la.
Our fingers say We're #1 and I feel that is appropriate since we are the #1 West Coast Cruise.

Sandy- how big of a carry-on bag are you shlepping w/you???? I was planning on finding some bubbles for the kids to blow at the sail away, but now they are going to wish for confetti and airhorns!

So, no one is up for the sports court tourney????? I'm talking simple stuff like "wacky races" and "octopus game", not real "sports"!

Hey, chris's shopping tip of the day....DISNEY has PINS on sale online w/free shipping....lots of pins at 3.99...good for trading....I'll let you know what they end up being w/express shipping (so I can get them in time!).
