I've been everywhere in our small town and not found eye patches or bandanas that are piratey (but some great lime green ones!). I'm still searching though!

Chris, got the eye patches covered, but are still on the lookout for the rest of the pirate: ensemble!

For the others, we too are dressing to the teeth for dress up nights.......isn't it fun to be able to play dress-up again???? :wizard:

PS to suesings - my hotmail account just took a nose dive, so if you are interested in some sequiny tops, you can't PM me. I'll let you know when it comes back up.

Thanks for the offer Challada. I may take you up on some tattoo's if you don't mind. :wizard: Pixie dust to you for sharing! :wizard:

There were kids dressed on the Wonder in Feb., but no adults that we saw. We were on one of the first cruises with the Pirate Night on the Wonder. We didn't have the fireworks yet. I think that as the Pirate Night is on more cruises there will be more pirate costumes. The way I see it is that we will be trend setters.

Don't worry Enchanted. Dh wants hats for all of us. He's usually pretty stuffy about dressing in costumes. I'm going to try to put together some black vests with skull and cross bones for the adults. Kate and Brett will be in full pirate attire. I ordered their costumes from HalloweenDepot.com. I got earrings for both of them. I'm going to Party City for a hook for Brett. I don't think I want to try bringing a fake sword through the airport security.

Yaaaaaaaaaay Pocono...good for you guys dressing up! And you're right, we will be trend setters. And may I say, I LOVE your childrens names. Being the plan ahead person that I am, I am always researching baby names. And yours are too cute!

Grammiegail - It IS fun to play dress up again. In high school the ladies in the dress shop used to know me by name because I went to any event I could that required dressing up. I'm sure we will all look beautiful, and I can't wait to see you. I bet you'll be one grand-hot -mama!

Enchanted

Thanks. Kate is actually Kathryn, a name she will hopefully grow into. Brett was named after Brett Butler a former LA Dodger. DH is a HUGE baseball fan.

I noticed that you and my Mom will be celebrating on the 30th. Mom will be 70 and you will be married 2 years. Congrats! Make sure you order some of the Fairy Tale Curvee to celebrate. DH and I are looking forward to a week of champagne toasts. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thank you very much Poc, and I'll be sure to tell your mom Happy Birthday!! My DG just turned 74 this past Saturday. So, she'll be belated! Ha ha.

Wow, couldn't get on the boards last night, checked this morning and had to read 3 pages! You all were feeling chatty! I can feel the excitement building!

Thanks to all you fellow cruisers that will be seeing us off! That will make it all the more exciting knowing fellow Dis'ers are wishing us bon voyage!

Brandy and Sandy....your enthusiasm is great!!

Challada- I have one hard sided suitcase I have designated for non-clothes items. Toiletries, wine, clothespins, sound machine, wine opener, beach bag, pirate stuff, suntan lotion, etc. I'm hoping to have 1 bag per person and the 1 hard sided case and I did break down and buy the Mickey and Friends rolling cooler at Disney Direct.

Sue- I am not wearing a gown. Would it be terrible if on formal night I wear these really fancy black pants(they have a velvet tapestry pattern on them, kinda hard to explain, but fancy) and a sleeveless fancy glittery black top? Or do we have to wear dresses? DH is wearing a black suit. I'm trying to pack light. Congrats on the weight loss!!! That's great!

Sandy-
Pirate night- We are very excited about it. Hopefully can make the 10pm deck party. And yes, we will definitely love to participate in a Dis'er pirate party on the first night, if it turns out after all this, they change and don't have Pirate night. Was it you or Brandy that said you're bringing leftover Cinco de Mayo stuff in case they have a Mexican night? What kind of stuff?

Still have not got my docs!!!!!
:sunny:

WCCruiser, I would be insane if I didn't have my docs yet. Are you bugging your TA? I'd be beating her door down.
I had said I would bring some Cinco De mayo stuff, but I couldn't find anything good left at Party City the day after. After all, Cinco De mayo, I was at Disneyland. But I was reading in my little book and it was hinting at the fact that you could buy festive wear in the ports of call. But that's for the East Coast cruises. So, we'll see. Other than dressing up like a bunch of Mariachi's and Senioritas, I don't know what to do. Maybe a sombrero? Or just some red, white, and green wear.

And I know what you mean about being chatty. The board is :Pinkbounc jumpin' :bounce: today! I think we'll reach 1,000 posts by the end of the day!! Woo-hoo! :cool1:

We're also planning to dress up for Pirate Night. We haven't gotten our stuff yet, but we plan on going to either a party or thrift store to pick up some accessories.

We are also dressing up for formal night. I plan to bring my tux and DW will probably be wearing a gown. We are packing dresses and princess outfits for our girls.

I finally started packing late last night. I have to do this when the kids are asleep and then hide the luggages so the kids don't suspect anything.

DD5 will be celebrating her birthday on the cruise. :bday: She turns 5 just a few days before we sail. Hopefully our servers will bring a small cake on the first night.

The excitement is definitely building. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping3:

I am with you, I am wearing a sequin top and black silky pants... We can hang out together. :hyper2:

Hubby is wearing a tux... :dancer:

Thanks to those who will be there to wish us  BON VOYAGE... :rockband:
I'm so excited about this... AND I'm hoping there will be TONS of MEDIA there to also see us off... :boat:
I"m hoping they will be there in the morning when the MAGIC first LANDS. I know I'll be there.

Wow - there's a lot going on today. I didn't check in for 24 hours and had to go thrugh two pages!

We'll all be dressing up for formal night (and semi-formal as well). DH will wear a nice suit, but I'm going for the full-length gown. It's so rare to have a chance to wear a "princess" dress. I'm usually in sweats and t-shirts - the comfort factor is a must.

The plan is to go to Party City sometime this week and get the rest of the Pirate Gear. DH picked up an eye-patch. Looks pretty darn cute as a pirate ;).

I think it's great there will be people from the board to wish us Bon Voyage. It makes it that much more exciting. I can't believe the ship will start making it's way to us this Saturday. The 5/14/05 crowd must be going nuts. I know I would/will be!

I know! How exciting is it that were counting in days instead of months. I guess we should be counting in weeks still. Then days, then HOURS! Weeeeeee! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :rotfl: :cool1: :bounce:  :mickeybar

MOM-
I've got us covered for pirate night...please return your eyepatches as I just bought 48 of them thru oriental trading! I've got a dress for you, a blouse for me, a pirate outfit for Emi and hopefully a "pirate night" shirt for dad (ebay..closes next hour). pirate:
FYI also, I returned the other green shirt and they automatically credit it back to your cc! I tried to talk the girl into give me the $2/shirt for the kids shirts since they are on sale this week but I got the "has to be in 14 days" speech.

We are one hopping bunch today! :Pinkbounc I'm cheating at work and taking a peek to find I have a page of stuff to read...guess I better get back!

Take care!

Alex...are you ready to board or what???? I would be standing at the gates at Port C by now!

Thanks all for the luggage advice...I'm going w/vacuum packing next weekend...now how do you vacuum pack to get back home???

Oh, Brandy-We will have tons of pirate tatoos since I think there are 48 in the pack and only 5 of us! We would be happy to share!

And I may have a few extra earrings, not 48, but a few.:rotfl:

528Cruiser- That's so great about your daughter's birthday!! Are you going to meet the rest of us at the pool at 2pm that first day?

I guess we'll just wing it if they end up having Mexican night. I'll be sure to accessorize with a Margarita that night though!::yes:: :bounce: :tilt: :thewave:

We'll have extras of pirate tatoos and some bandanas if you need...I also have 48 eyepatches so I think I've got you covered (ha...get it, covered!).
