BTW 'Holidayfantatic' started off as me (Mrs Holidayfanatic) but has been hijacked by Mr Holidayfanatic. So in response to his last post about us being the only Brits on the guest list where he said 'come on you shy poms, stop lurking and start posting' the word 'pom' usually refers to what Australians call Brits - I think the Americans would usually call us 'limeys'. I'm sure you'll all put me right if I'm wrong!!

Getting so excited about the cruise - I went past the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas at Southampton the other week - what a HUGE ship that is (160,000 tonnes). It would be nice and convenient for us to board at Southampton instead of flying into BCN, but since it's only a 2 hour flight, I can't complain and makes a nice change from our usual 10 hour flights to Florida.

Sue: I'm so glad all has gone well for Christina.

About the party.......as someone said, maybe we should just make it a place to tour through and then continue the gathering somewhere else.

I feel we should do what you are comfortable with since you have been gracious enough to invite us to use your suite. Giving different times sounds like a viable option with an alternate place to continue to socialize if they want. From the list does sound like quite a crowd.

Yay!!! The Med will be our 6th Disney cruise and only once did we NOT have Captain Tom. I'm beginning to get sentimental about him!

Yes, we have been hearing about this. Mt Etna is on the other side of the island of Sicily from where we will be in Palermo.

It's really cool! Too bad we're too far away to go there. My TA went there on his Med. cruise and really enjoyed it. I don't know if we'll be able to see anything from the sea as we arrive or depart. I think volcanos are awesome.

This Med cruise is huge trip for our us plus it's our first DCL cruise. We would really appreciate a copy your packing spreadsheet. Also any tips on how to keep our luggage to minimum would be greatly apprecaited.

Sweetsue, we would also like to join the group at the fountains on Fri. FYI We will arriv in BCN on the 23rd.

Since it's quiet around here right now, I'll take a minute and brag alittle about my son.

My son, Matt, plays on the AVP Beach Volleyball tour and is playing in a tournament at Huntington Beach today. He won both his matches today! The tournament is a double elimination format, so when you lose twice, you are out. Since he won both his matches today, he can do no worse then 9th place. He plays again tomorrow morning.

This is the first time he won two matches in the winners bracket! I'm very excited for him!!!

My daughter played vb in High School and was invited to play on the US Navy VB team that travels the world...turned it down to go on west pac tour.

I have toured the suite before and I have been thinking for a long time that we reached capacity and it will be a tight squeeze. Maybe whoever is in the "Walt Suite" and other surrounding cabins will decide to join us in self defense and open their doors too .

Seriously - I like the idea of touring and moving to deck 9 or 10 and continue the meet and greet there.

I like that ideas, too...how long do we really want to stay INSIDE when we can be outside in the fresh air enjoying the Mediterranean!?
