Also - I am one of the poor souls who had to wait until 75 days out to book. Since I am on EST do I have to wait until 12:01am or 3:01 am to book. I am assuming that it is 3:01am so that we are not booking ahead of the West Coast. Any advice will be appreciated.

not sure if this is the weekend you need to be up so early - but I would suggest you have the website open at least 10 minutes to 3, keep trying or refreshing it - I found it actually opened about 2 minutes of 3.

"We're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Please call your travel agent or call (800) 951-3532 weekdays 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. ET or weekends 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET and our agents will gladly assist you."


This is not going to be good for those M&M's who are going to try to make excursion and Palo reservations at 3 AM.

My only advice is if the system is still not working when you try again at 3:00am - then get a printout with the date and time stamp on the page so you can at least be able to document the issue with DCL tomorrow morning. And if the system does not work for you at 3:00am - then get on the phone with DCL first thing in the morning.

Shortly after I posted that I got on. I decided to take Ken's advice and go on at 2:50 EST for Palo ressies. At 1:01 am MST I was able to see 1 dinner for 2 on the night we were in Rome. Well I plan on doing as the Romans do, so I didn't want to be back at the ship for dinner. I kept refreshing and w/in 2 min. the ressie was gone. So here's my question: Will there be anything available on ship? Or am I S.O.L. for this cruise? Thanks!

What a frustrating experience! I tried for a quite a long time to get into the system and once I did I couldn't book anything. I waited an hour, went back and I was able to book most of what I wanted as far as excursions go. I never did book anything in Florence. Perhaps I might consider a private tour. Did anyone end up doing that? No availability at Palo's. Something might open up once one the cruise, but from the reading all of the posts. I am in doubtful. Good luck to everyone else.

We were up at 3am to book the excursions and Palo for my in-laws. They got all their first choices and even managed to get a Palo (the Rome day but we didn't plan any excursions as we have all been before). I was very surprised that some of the excursions that listed as filling up fast were available. Even spa treatments at at Sea days were still available!!

Still no Palo brunch... but that is what waiting in the line on the boat is for.

One less headache down now everyone can focus on how to cram roughly 14 days worth of luggage and not have to fight to get washers/dryers onboard! NIGHTMARE last cruise... we finally opted for writing our names in our clothing and sending it to be cleaned on board (a bit expensive for undergarments but not bad for shirts/pants and dresses).


75 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't give up hope yet. There will be reservations available when you get on the ship. There are 11 nights and they only allow people (other than concierge) to only book one reservation until everyone has a chance to get one reservation.

Yup, in the same boat here with Palo reservations (sorry, couldn't resist ... feeble attempt to lighten my mood). I actually didn't intend to be up in the middle of the night to try to book stuff but rather first thing this morning at 5:30 when I had to get up anyway. But it so happened I woke up and went to the bathroom around 3:30 and figured, what the heck? So I got on and booked 6 of the seven excursions we wanted, and then it kicked me out--that is one temperamental website. Tried to get back in a few times, went back to bed, got on around 6:00, and booked the last excursion we wanted.

I find it hard to believe that there is absolutely nothing available at Palo's any of the time we are on the ship. I realize that those of us who are first-timers are quite the minority but still ...
