May 25th, 2013 Fantasy Western!

The website says you can cancel up to 3 days before sailing. I honestly don't know if you can cancel onboard if its later in the cruise. You can also add on board credit ahead of time by calling Disney, or if you used a TA they can do it.

Thanks! I'm sure we won't be changing our minds but that answers my question "just in case."

I was kind of worried about Pirates League on this myself. I booked it, but my son is still undecided. He doesn't know that I am taking his brother and nieces on the cruise and won't know until we connect on a flight with them the day before the cruise. I have both him and my granddaughter booked, so I think he will definitely want to do it with her. But if they decide not to and I can't cancel I figure 2 of us adults will do it lol.

We are doing:

Grand Cayman Private Charter
Costa Maya - spa day no port excursions planned at this time
Cozumel - dolphins/Chankanaab
Castaway - beach day
BBB for the 2 girls
chill spa for the teen
Spa day for mom and dad

Let me just say that those of u who don't have anything planned for Grand Cayman. I was just there in October and that is the most beautiful place for the clear tropical turquoise water. Most beautiful water I have ever seen. LOVED IT!!!! U guys should get out there and enjoy the beach or catamaran or something...it's too beautiful to pass up!! Since cost is a factor in all this I have been giving myself OBC's along and along to help pay for the excursions before I even get there. It's just much easier that way and I don't have to worry like I'm breaking the bank all at once. It's totally not necessary but nice to know I already have my dolphins paid for before we even go. That is costing us more than the private charter. CRAZY!! Very excited and ready to go!!!!!

For now, you just have to add up the total yourself based on the prices listed by age. You won't be charged until you actually attend in May. The total will be lumped together in your final bill (with gratuities or anything else bought onboard) that you'll receive the night before we head back to Port Canaveral. Make sure to have a credit card on file because DCL will only allow $300(I think) to be charged to your stateroom without a credit card attached to your account.

Thank you! I was afraid I was not booking it right or something since I was not getting a total! We have done a Disney cruise before but no port adventures so new experience. Appreciate the info!

Just a few more minutes to wait, I hope you guys all get what you want to book!

I was allowed on at 9:01pm. I got all my port adventures! We will do the catamaran snorkel in Caymen, Costa Maya four of us are doing the adult ruins tour and my DH and I are doing the two tank scuba, and we are all doing the off road Jade Caverns in Cozumel. We got Palo reservations for the last night of the cruise.

We were hoping to get the Secret River in Cozumel. Our family of 5 must be too big for what slots they have left since it wouldn't let us book it. I'm kind of bummed about that. For Grand Cayman we are doing Seaworld Explorer Semi Sub, Sea Trek Pod in Costa Maya and Cozumel Highlights and Mayan Ruins tour in Cozumel. Has anyone done a Ruins tour? If so, what are your thoughts?

We did get an 11:30am check in time. I did the online check in it asked about payment. I left it as cash/other since we have a gift card and onboard credit to us. I'm assuming they'll let me pay the rest with a credit card even though I didn't select credit card.

We've changed our excursions a bit. We're doing Stingray City and reef snorkel booked through a recommended company. Costa Maya, nothing planned. Canceled the dolphin excursion through Disney and we'll be doing the Royal Swim through Dolphin Discovery at Chaakanab (sp?). We're also booked for Pirates league, my dtr and I. I'm so excited and can't wait! I'll be working on the FE gifts in a couple days and the wristbands have been ordered. Looks like everything is coming together nicely!;)

All right Becky - got you guys on the list. I have you down as two cabins participating separately (two FExtenders, two sets of gifts). If you meant to particpate as a single room let me know.

We were able to get the excursions we wanted--Fury catamaran snorkel for Cozumel, island tour with stingrays for Grand Cayman, and the ruins tour for Costa Maya. :cool1:

I also got my daughter a BBB appointment on her birthday. The only disappointment for her was no Pirates League availability.

How can you give yourself onboard credit? Good idea!

Just so you know also that Disney will charge your card on file the day we embark for all excursions and you will have all tickets for them in your room. I am not sure how it works if you want to cancel after that though.

Question for those of you who have cruised a few times before. We are traveling with my parents who are first timers. They were wanting to do the family beach excursion with us on Grand Cayman which I believe is unavailable on the website. Do they usually leave some for people to book onboard or are they out of luck? Is that something you can try and get on a waitlist for? just wondering what to tell them.

We were able to get the excursions we wanted so we won't be changing our mind. Can we use onboard credit and Disney gift cards to pay for excursions? Sorry I have so many questions. Now that we were able to check in and book excursions it seems real to me.

Yes, they are charged to your onboard account and any gift cards you apply and any OBC you have comes off of that. You have to go to guest services to have gift cards applied to your account, and I have read numerous posts saying to keep your gift cards because if any of what you applied needs refunded they must put it back on the same gift card.

U can give it to yourself as a gift. Call Disney or print out the gifts form and fax it in. I like knowing all I have booked is paid for. That way we will have some expense but the majority is already taken care of. I put enough on there to cover all excursions, spa and a little xtra for photos. I'm ready to go!!!

Hi John.... we decided to go for it... we're in for this Cruise!
